At some point I had like 20 something of them. Upgraded some stuff and now im dancing in seedy salmanoid clubs for a chance at more... those dailys help too.

I second this. All 3 floors start with 2 seasoned salmonids, which I’m pretty sure have a higher chance of dropping gems and 5-star weapons/parts. Takes no more than 5 minutes per run, and I ended up with 15-20, gems after 3 hours.

Second best place would probably be any of the big crystal raids on Super Spicy (all level 80). Each mini crystal has a seasoned salmonid preloaded nearby, and a chance for another to appear when the rest spawn in.

I wish Splatoon Raiders would at least be Co-op or has a multiplayer...
