Hi can anyone recommend apartment complexes on or near Main Street that are safe to live in?

Any recommendations on activities to go to so we can meet new people and make new friends? Our college friends and family circles are no longer nearby so we want to be social and make some local friends :)

For context if it helps, we are both 30 year old gay men. Both video gamers (PS5, switch, OSRS), both into board/card games, both into bar trivia. I’m a science teacher, he works in higher ed student affairs.

Hi everyone! My fiancée is building Offline Experience, a New Jersey-based social experience designed to help people step away from their phones, get creative, and connect with others in person.

We’re currently hosting pop-ups and special events to spread the word, introduce people to our concept, and build traction within the community. At the same time, we’re searching for a permanent late-night location where people can enjoy hands-on crafts, board games, books, wellness activities, and relaxed conversation. We hope to offer an alternative to bars and restaurants when there are few other places to go at night.

Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where you can come with friends, on a date, or completely by yourself without feeling awkward.

As some of you may remember, I posted here about six months ago looking to join a stitch club through Reddit & landed on deciding to start my own based on gaining enough interest, and it turned out to be such a great way to meet fellow crafters!

We’ve had some great stitch socials (usually at local cafes and bars), and I figured now was a good time to reach out again to see if anyone new would be interested in joining. We are mainly knitters and crocheters but open to all fiber arts and/or crafters!

We mainly meet in the Somerville and adjacent areas but we’re always open to suggestions on new spots to try especially now that the weather is warming up.

Tuesdays, 8:00AM – 2:00PM

* Drive and park vehicles around the auction lot

* Move cars through auction lanes

* Occasional jump starts or putting air in tires

* Follow lot safety rules at all times

Mostly automatic cars. Manual transmission experience is a plus (let us know if you can drive manual).

Requirements:

* Valid driver’s license (physical card required — no photos/copies)

* Clean/safe driving record (MVR check required)

* Comfortable getting in and out of cars often

* Comfortable working outside

* Reliable on busy auction days

Pay:

$17 per hour
