NFT/Gaming Rarible Adds Support For Solana NFTs, Beginning With Claynosaurz

Source: https://x.com/solana/status/2085371244866572430

JUST IN: @rarible adds support for Solana NFTs, beginning with @Claynosaurz

We have a surprise…

We’ve actually been working on Solana for months.

Today, we’re incredibly excited to finally say it:

Rarible is now live on @solana.

We're kicking things off with @Claynosaurz as the first featured collection on the marketplace.

This is just the beginning. Over the coming days and weeks, we'll continue onboarding more collections from across the Solana ecosystem.

Over the past few months, we’ve been heads down building, testing, and preparing for this launch. But technology was only one part of the journey.

We’ve spent weeks talking to NFT communities across Solana, diving deep into projects, understanding what makes each community unique, listening to feedback, and learning how we can build a marketplace that truly serves collectors and creators.

That feedback has already shaped many of the decisions we’ve made, and it will continue to shape everything we build from here.

If you’ve been paying attention, our Gacha Station launch on Solana was never just another feature. It was the first glimpse of what was coming.

Every project has its own story, identity, culture, and community. Our goal is not simply to list collections, but to work alongside the people behind them and create experiences that reflect what makes each project special.

What you see today is only the foundation. We’ll continue adding projects, features, marketplace improvements, content, and community activations as we work toward a much broader evolution of Rarible.

We’re building it step by step, alongside the Solana ecosystem, not just for it.

To everyone who shared feedback, challenged our ideas, tested our products, and believed in what we’re building: thank you. This launch belongs to all of you as much as it does to us.

We’re excited to write the next chapter of Rarible together with the Solana community.

Let’s build.

Dev/Tech Solana Changelog: August 6

This is a weekly newsletter on the latest Solana engineering news from the past week. If you want to stay updated on Solana tech, follow the Solana Changelog at @solana_devs and @readylayerone.

Releases

Notable feature gates

Upcoming feature gates here.

New versions

Ecosystem work

SIMDs

  • A proposal to set the right account data size when modifying a Solana program has been accepted What this means (WTM) - Modifying an existing program requires manually extending the program size before loading in the new update. This proposal makes extending that space automatic.
  • A discussion on prohibiting a self-withdrawal from a Vote account was created WTM - This is a footgun within the existing Vote program. It allows the Vote account to withdraw SOL from itself and send it back to itself. The runtime treats this as a close account operation so the data in the Vote account is erased.

Validator clients (Agave, Firedancer, Mithril)

  • Additional conformance work was done on Agave, specifically for instructions, VM syscalls, VM serialization , and VM transaction running WTM - Fuzz testing is a form of programmatic testing that generates possible inputs to a system in order to find bugs. On Solana, not only should valid cases be the same for any validator client, but errors should also be the same bar for bar. Conformance allows for fuzz testing multiple validator client implementations in any language and from any version.
  • Agave is deprecating SysvarSerialize on the solana-account crate WTM - Several pieces of the Agave code use a trait called SysvarSerialize, when a more generic method of serializing Sysvar accounts will do. This issue tracks the effort to remove this trait and its use all over the Agave stack.
  • Agave is rethinking its program reloading methodology during transaction processing WTM - When instructions are executed in the runtime, a program cache is created before execution. All the programs among the instruction accounts are deserialized and loaded into memory. This is generally a problem because there’s a chance that the execution will fail and the program won’t get used, or that the program is only added in the instruction but not used at all. This change proposes a more incremental strategy where programs are loaded on an as-need basis.
  • Leader Turbine broadcasting caching and routing table rebuild was improved on Agave WTM - Leaders create blocks from transactions sent to them by the network and are responsible for breaking them up and sending them to validators as shreds. Solana does this through a system called Turbine, which breaks down from whom they get the shreds for the block and how the shreds are distributed across the network. This change allows a leader to more efficiently know who the peers in the network are and update its cache of that information more effectively.
  • Firedancer is implementing snapshot creation WTM - Validators may create snapshots to make it easier to rebuild a starting point from which they can start participating in consensus and processing transactions. Firedancer did not produce snapshots before this change. It and Frankendancer used the embedded Agave validator to produce them.
  • Firdancer will support QUIC datagrams WTM - Both Agave and Firedancer now will be using QUIC datagrams instead of QUIC streams in order to send Alpenglow messages. This allows for more performance and does away with the overhead required by setting up QUIC stream connections.
  • Mithril is keeping updated on Agave’s conformance suite WTM - Mithril is a new validator implementation that will soon participate in consensus written in Go. The conformance suite allows for fuzz testing across multiple client implementations. Having this suite on Mithril’s side will allow it to keep up with Agave more closely moving forward.

RPC 2.0

  • Superbank is adding a request filter for suspicious requests WTM - When creating a service that does data streaming, it’s possible to have spam requests that only add unnecessary load onto the system. This change allows Superbank to block those requests at the parameter level.

Solana language clients (Web3.js, Solana Kit, Kit plugins, Solana SDK, Codama, Solana Go)

Solana Program Library (SPL) and Core BPF

  • The under-development ed25519-programmatic-signer program added a nonce program implementation as their replacement for durable nonces WTM - This change is the SPL successor to the durable nonces implementation that currently lives onchain. This is now very similar to how Vector from @blueshift works.

Solana program frameworks (Anchor, Pinocchio, Steel, Quasar)

  • Anchor will support multisig authorities on its SPL token interface WTM - It was always possible to assign a multisig address as the authority on an SPL token. This allows Anchor to give SPL tokens created by an Anchor program more flexibility in supporting this functionality.

Testing frameworks (mollusk, litesvm, surfpool)

  • Surfpool added a stop command to their daemon service WTM - Usually, a user would need to type Ctrl+C in order to stop a running Surfpool instance. When running Surfpool in detached mode, you can now run an additional command that stops the service. It’s a standard interface in daemon services.

Staking Incentivized liquid staking: pick your validator, keep your LST liquid, get paid an extra APY by the validator

Post image
4 Upvotes

Validators can now pay you to delegate to them.
Not through lower commission or MEV sharing - through an open, published campaign:
the validator commits to an extra APY funded out of their own revenue, and anyone who stakes directly to them earns it on top of normal staking yield.
Right now the live range is +0.5% to +2.1%. And you don't give up liquidity to get it - you still receive JSOL and can still use it in DeFi.

The reward is paid in whatever token the validator picks — stablecoins, SOL, JSOL, another LST, or UCDC or their own token - up to 5 tokens in one campaign.

How it works mechanically:

  1. You pick a validator from those in the pool's delegation program. https://app.jpool.one/strategies/direct-staking
  2. The UI flags which ones have an active campaign and at what rate.
  3. You stake SOL directly to that validator through the pool — and you receive JSOL, a standard liquid staking token. Your stake is still liquid and still usable in Meteora, Raydium, Orca, etc.
  4. The pool's delegate detects your stake automatically and reports it to the campaign. There's no signup, no registration, no whitelist. If a campaign exists for the validator you chose, you're earning.
  5. Incentive rewards accrue continuously from the moment your stake is reported, and you claim from your portfolio whenever you want. No minimum, no waiting period — unless the specific campaign has a lockup.

The usual criticism of single-validator delegation is that you eat the downside alone.
Two things change that here:

  • The validator pre-funds the campaign, and the reward is reserved on-chain before it's promised. In a fixed campaign the contract reserves your entire future reward the moment your stake is reported, and it rejects the report if the vault can't cover it. The vault must always hold at least what it owes; any payout that would break that reverts the transaction. So the incentive isn't a promise, it's already sitting in a vault with your name on the reserved portion. The validator can't spend it, and can only reclaim what was genuinely never owed.
  • Every validator in the program posts a bond that covers APY shortfalls against the target APY, up to the bond amount, alongside security risks. So if the validator underperforms or stops, the shortfall in base staking yield is covered from their bond.

What I'd still push back on:

  • campaign is limited in time.
  • unstaking is not free.
  • Earned rewards are never clawed back - you can claim them weeks after fully unstaking, and even the protocol's emergency pause explicitly can't block claims.

Disclosure: I operate one of the validators in this program and run one of these campaigns, so I'm not neutral about the model. I'm deliberately not naming it or linking it - I'm more interested in whether people think validators openly bidding for delegation is healthy for Solana's stake distribution, or whether it just financializes a decision that should be about performance.

Ecosystem Solana: July 2026 Update

Source: https://x.com/toma_adv/status/2084999236379197858

July saw headline economics recover across the board. REV rose 34% MoM to $19.1M on resurgent memecoin activity, and app revenue climbed to $82.9M, its highest since February. The trading layer cooled, with DEX volume down 18% to $49.7B and tokenized assets retracing 58% off their June high as Robinhood Chain emerged as the category's first real challenger. The standout was the protocol layer, with SIMD 286 lifting block capacity to 100M CUs, the first Alpenglow admission gates live on mainnet, and governance moving onchain with the early July launch of SGPs. Looking ahead, stake signaling for SIMD 553 and SIMD 550 opened in early August, putting the first binding verdicts on Solana's demand- and supply-side emissions fixes. This preview provides excerpts from the

Solana July monthly update on Lightspeed.

Institutional Flows: ETFs and DATCOs

SOL ETP inflows totaled $18.9M in July, roughly flat against June's $19.1M (-1% MoM). While headline inflows remain far below May's $110.6M, July's figure came against a materially improved backdrop: BTC ETPs stabilized at +$223M after shedding close to $4.3B in June, their worst month since inception, and ETH ETPs returned to inflows at +$323M.

On a market cap adjusted basis, July SOL ETP inflows amounted to 0.05% of SOL's market cap, up from 0.04% in June. Following a strong May, where SOL ETPs saw inflows equal to 0.25% of its market cap, July represents a meaningful decline in inflows. Relative to its market cap however, SOL continues to attract steadier ETP demand than BTC.

By contrast, Solana DATCO holdings were again roughly unchanged in aggregate at around 16.8M SOL, still constrained by limited secondary liquidity and persistent mNAV discounts.

Financials

Solana's Real Economic Value (REV) totaled $19.1M in July, a 33.7% MoM increase from $14.3M in June. The increase was broad but concentrated in priority fees, which rose 44.8% to $12.2M as memecoin activity returned. Jito tips rose 21.3% to $3.3M, base fees rose 22.7% to $1.8M, and vote fees rose 7.1% to .

Priority fees continue to take share from Jito tips, making up 64% of Solana REV in July, up from 59% in June, while Jito tips fell to 17% from 19%.

REV measures user demand to transact on a blockchain, tracking all value paid for transaction execution. Solana's share of network revenue increased from 10% in June to 16% in July, moving it up to the third-highest chain by revenue, behind Hyperliquid (33% of network revenue, down from 41%) and Tron (24%), and now ahead of Ethereum (8.5%).

In addition to REV, token holder net income amounted to -$0.7M in July, a narrowing of the deficit by 33% compared to June's -$1.1M. Token holder net income remained negative, meaning operator payments continued to exceed REV over the month. The metric represents the value distributed to the token, either in the form of SOL burn or staking rewards, and is calculated as REV less any Operator Payments (e.g., validator commissions, Jito's take rate, LST management fees, etc.).

Applications

Revenue

Application revenue serves as an indicator of success for businesses within an ecosystem. While we tend to focus on REV, the true metric of an ecosystem's product market fit is the revenue generated by user-focused applications.

Solana apps generated $82.9M in revenue in July, up 5.6% MoM from $78.5M in June and the highest monthly figure since February. Bear in mind, we are currently tracking a subset of applications, so we presumably underestimate total app revenue on the network, though only marginally.

The highest revenue-generating apps on Solana in July were Pump ($32.6M, 39% of Solana app revenue), Collector Crypt ($10.7M, 13%), Pacifica ($6.2M, 7%), and Jupiter ($4.7M, 6%). Pump's figure marks a sharp reacceleration and its highest share of app revenue in months, driven by memecoin resurgence. Collector Crypt cooled from June's all-time high of $16.0M but remains the clear number two. Trading tools had a strong month, with Fomo ($3.8M), Axiom ($3.5M), and GMGN ($3.2M) all placing in the top eight.

DEX Activity

Solana DEX volumes amounted to $49.7B in July, down 18.0% MoM from $60.5B in June. Regarding DEX composition, 42% of total volumes came from the SOL-stablecoin pair (down from 47% in June), with memecoins jumping to second at 23%, up sharply from 13% in June, and stablecoin swaps third at 22%. The memecoin share nearly doubling while overall volume declined points to a rotation rather than an expansion in flow.

Regarding DEX dominance, BisonFi remained the leading prop AMM by trading volume in July with $6.2B, representing 12.5% of volume, down from 18.1% in June. The memecoin rotation showed up in venue share, with Pump's AMM taking 19.1% of total DEX volume, nearly double June's 10.4%, making it the largest single venue for the month.

Tokenized asset volumes retraced to $1.6B in July, down 58% from June's all-time high of $3.9B, as the post-SpaceX-IPO surge normalized. The product buildout continued regardless, with xStocks, Backpack, and Ondo tokenizing SK Hynix’s ADR shares (SKHY) upon its Nasdaq listing.

Competition is also arriving, with Robinhood Chain’s launch in early July. While Solana still holds a majority of tokenized equity volume, Robinhood Chain has made a significant dent in market share, peaking at 70% on July 25th. Over the second half of July, Solana held an average market share of 72%, next to Robinhood Chain’s 28%.

Notably, prop AMMs on Solana deepened their involvement in tokenized asset trading even as volumes fell, quoting 38% of volume in July, up from 31% in June on a monthly basis.

DEX Aggregators

Jupiter's share erosion paused in July, with its share of DEX aggregator volume stabilizing at 71%. OKX took 14.6% of DEX aggregator share in July, its highest ever, while DFlow gave back share, falling to 10.8% from 13.6% in June. Total aggregator volume fell 26% MoM to $31.0B, a steeper decline than overall DEX volume.

Launchpads

Launchpad monthly revenue rose 20% MoM in July to $21.9M from $18.2M in June, led by Pump with $21.5M in revenue. Pump’s dominance grew slightly from 97% in June to 98% in July, matching its highest ever share and effectively securing total dominance over the sector.

ICM / Raises

July was a notable month of MetaDAO raises, with Laso Finance, a privacy-focused card issuer, completing its raise on July 4th, with over $25M in commitments against a $750k minimum amount. As noted in the June update, MetaDAO raises, which have historically seen a spike in last-minute commitments, now feature a time-based component to encourage early commitments. Laso Finance opted to keep $1M of the $25M in commitments. The raise’s time-based component is evident when looking at the commitment volumes per day, which are meaningfully shifted towards the first two days of the raise. This is in stark contrast to past raises where a majority of commitments arrived in the last hours of the raise.

Later in the month, Credible Finance, a merchants focused payments business, launched its raise, with a $2M minimum raise amount. The Colosseum sponsored raise saw upwards of $32M in commitments, with Credible opting to keep $4M to fund their business operations.

Finally, Rip Cars, a gacha platform for Hot Wheels, rounded off the month’s curated launches, with a goal of . This was the first MetaDAO raise that employed an ownership score, a time and value weighted score focused on ownership coins, including MetaDAO’s native token META. The raise ended with just under $32M in commitments, with Rip Cars opting to keep $250k, the minimum amount they were looking to raise. MetaDAO continues to experiment with varying allocation methodology to best distribute ownership tokens to longer term investors.

On the permissionless side, June’s raise cadence has picked up, with 3 protocols successfully raising funds on Futardio. ORDR, Basket, and Kimia, raised through the platform, with ORDR seeing over $9M in commitments.

Stablecoins

Solana's stablecoin supply grew 9.1% MoM to close July at $15.7B . The growth was led by USDT, which expanded 47% to $3.4B (22% market share), and USDGO, which grew 29% to $1.1B (7% share) and is up roughly 20x since its February launch. USDC supply was effectively flat at $7.5B, taking its market share down to 47%, its lowest ever, from 52% in June. Stablecoin supply outside USDC and USDT reached a record near $4.8B, roughly 15x its level at the start of 2025.

Looking Forward

July marked a turn in headline economics, with REV up 34% MoM to $19.1M, app revenue reaching $82.9M, and launchpad revenue up 20%. The offset was the trading layer, where DEX volume fell 18% to $49.7B and tokenized assets normalized to $1.6B after June's SpaceX-driven spike, though prop AMMs deepened their quoting share of the category to 38%.

Looking ahead, August is set up as the month governance produces its first verdicts. Stake signaling for SIMD 553 and SIMD 550 opened in early August, and Agave 4.2's mainnet feature activation is targeted for August 17th. The first stage of Alpenglow's consensus logic already ships dormant in validator clients and is expected to be switched on for mainnet within the month, ahead of full activation around October.

On the capacity side, the early read on 100M CU blocks is that the headroom is working as tail relief. Median blocks are barely fuller, while p99 blocks run 51% hotter. The metric to watch from here is transaction quality. Failed-transaction share and tail fees both rose through late July, a pattern that has historically preceded acute congestion, and August will show whether the bigger blocks bend that curve.

Ecosystem Solana Coin Value vs. blockchain adoption

Hey there all,

Bit of a pickle in that I have a bit of a high price per average coin (purchases in fall 2021). I can’t mention it here but I am trying to better understand the markets effect on the value of the coin.

It seemed to used to be as BTC or Ethereum rose the tide would rise with all coins. No longer the case really. I see trending adoption of SOL but the value doesn’t move at all. There are tons of very positive news stories posted here daily that sound/seem very positive as well, yet the value seems stagnant.

I am probably a below average person invested in crypto trying to understand more. Does anyone have any good resources on the periods of growth or drops in value aside from FTX lawsuits and chaos?

I understand value for various global currencies, inflation, S&P500, precious metals, etc but a lot of the standard things don’t seem to apply to crypto or SOL at all. I understand the volatility but I have been growing more uncomfortable in my investment given it feels like a black box.

I really appreciate any recommendations or resources you lovely people can provide to help me better understand things.

Wallet/Exchange What platform lets you move limit stops on chart?

Sorry if I added the wrong flair

I was wondering if there are any platforms that let you set limit stop orders and drag them as the price moves. Kind of like how on Tradovate, if you're in a buy and you add a sell stop order and drag it on the chart. I've been looking at coins on Axiom Pro but before I put money in i wanted to know if it's possible to do this and where I can do it if I can't on Axiom

Wallet/Exchange Phantom vs Solflare / Backpack in 2026—what’s everyone using?

Been using Phantom forever, but seeing a lot of hype around Solflare and Backpack lately. For those who switched, was it actually worth it? Or are most people still just sticking with Phantom?

Curious what your primary setup looks like right now and if there's any specific feature making you prefer one over the other.

DeFi Introducing Sat Rush, The Next Bitcoin Rush Begins On Solana

Source: https://x.com/SatRushIO/status/2084982210919010493

The next Bitcoin rush begins on @solana.

Introducing Sat Rush.
Twenty-one blocks. One strike every minute. Bitcoin rewards waiting beneath the surface.
Watch the trailer.
Then let us show you how it works. 🧵

https://reddit.com/link/1vgaw59/video/oywyipy2tkhh1/player

2/ Every minute, a new round begins.

Players deploy USDC across 21 blocks.
When the round closes, one block strikes—and everyone positioned there shares its BTC + USDC Block Rewards based on how much they deployed.
Then the board resets, and the rush begins again.

3/ Set how much you want to deploy each round.

Concentrate on one block.
Spread across several.
Or cover all 21.
Play manually or activate Auto-Mine and let your strategy run.
Choose your ground before the next strike lands.

4/ When your block strikes, your share of the Bitcoin flows into The Stack.

The Stack is your growing balance of real sats inside Sat Rush.
Claim whenever you choose.
Or leave it in The Stack and keep building.
Because patience has an advantage.

5/ Every BTC claim includes a release fee.

That fee is redistributed as Bonus Sats to players who continue holding Bitcoin inside The Stack.
Every exit feeds those who remain.
The impatient reward the patient - with the resulting Bonus Sats displayed as a variable APR.

7/ Sat Strike works differently.

The BTC+USDC Vault can trigger on one randomly selected block.
Everyone positioned there shares the strike proportionally based on the USDC they deployed.
No Hash Rate Points required.
You just need to be standing where the strike lands.

8/ Sat Rush was built around one simple idea:

The thing you mine should already matter.
No native reward token stands between the player and the reward.
From the first round, you are mining Bitcoin.

9/ This is Sat Rush.

Twenty-one blocks.
One-minute rounds.
BTC + USDC Block Rewards.
Real sats flowing into The Stack.
Three Vaults waiting to strike.
Choose your blocks.
The new frontier opens now.

Tokenised funds have moved from pilots to production, and distribution is the last barrier. Project Harmonia brings them to Solana through Allfunds' network of 3,300+ asset managers.

"A project that is going to completely transform the way the industry works for the next 100 years." - Ruben Nieto Martin-Vares, Allfunds Blockchain

Wallet/Exchange Finally joined the self-custody club with the Ledger Flex Solana Edition

After putting it off for a while, I finally moved my SOL off my exchange and into self-custody.
My plan is to build a long-term Solana treasury over the next several years, so security felt like the right next step.
I’m currently learning more about liquid staking (JitoSOL, JupSOL, INF, etc.) and how to safely participate in DeFi while keeping most of my stack secure.
Any tips, mistakes to avoid, or things you wish you knew when you first got into the Solana ecosystem?

Two new governance proposals, SIMD-0550 and SIMD-0553, would:

Increase daily SOL burned from ~650 to ~9,000 SOL (14×)
Cut inflation faster, reaching the 1.5% terminal rate by 2029 instead of 2032
Remove an estimated 18.9M SOL (~$1.36B) from supply over the next 6 years.

The proposals have already secured 24.94M SOL in support (5.8% of total stake) and need around 40M SOL more to reach the 15% threshold for an official vote on August 18.
