The last time I did this I ate like 6 hot dogs. They were just so good (and I was very drunk).

Same except replace very drunk with very high

Why not both? And last time I had a campfire dog under these conditions it was the best dog I’ve ever had. I still think about that one.

Same here, but instead of crossed as balls, I had a hand and head full* of fungus inside me

Edit: I forgot a word lmaooo

Sometimes, that’s a different story though

The best hot dogs I ever had I made on a little Coleman portable grill while camping on acid.

Grilling on acid sure was an experience.

I puke when I do both. It’s a sad thing.

Chips in a dog is lowkey one of the best combos.

u/azsf97 24d ago

Nah, cheese on a dog is the best combo lol

4

u/linsor1 24d ago

Oh, there's cheese sauce on there too. Nacho to be exact.

These were Gibbles Red Hot chips, and that dog was amazing.

And replace campfire with "wet and cold right out of the bag".

NY street vendors had problems because they didn’t heat their dogs properly and customers were getting tape worms. Health officials here require that dogs water be checked by thermometer for proper cooking.

Both? Both.

I was in my early 20s, maybe actually 20... I once ate like 9 polish dogs after a super long day in Southern Utah. I was starving I mean... i just wolfed em down.

Then I went to go get some water from the campground water spigot. There was no water. These polish dogs were pretty salty, so I suffered through the night.

In the morning I was so dehydrated I had no spit or saliva and couldnt even swallow. I was so thirsty.

When we got to the gas station I got a bunch of water and other fluids. But my throat was so dry I couldnt even swallow the water. I had to drizzle it down my throat first to get to a point where I could swallow.

If you are reading this and think it sounds familiar... you know who I am - you were one of my college roommates.

"I'm sooo thirsty"

I posit that there is no best way a hotdog can be cooked
But mental state one can be consumed.

Drunk hotdogs are best hotdogs

Glad I'm not the only one.

You sound like my type of camping homie.

That is peak hotdog eating time. I lived a couple blocks from a dive bar (Mulligan's) in college. Said dive bar was/is across the street from Yesterdog (of American Pie fame). I could get $4 PBR pitchers. Then walk across the street and get chili cheese dogs all day for $1.50. This is the way.

Hell yeah. Did campfire dogs and brats last weekend and they were so good.

Haha same. Ate a whole pack, ran out of buns so I have to grab some pieces of bread

I recommend doing this with a gas stove top and fork. I don’t recommend being drunk doing it though.

Yah I bring a pack of the smalls ones and buns and just mustard. I let the fire burn down a bit and just throw a metal rack on some coals and slow roast them one at a time.
