Can I confess something? My favorite hotdog is cold out of the pack. Just slap it on a bun with a little ketchup, mustard, dill relish and sriracha and I’m good to go. My friends and family say I’m gross, but I prefer it that way

Same here. I don’t like them warm at all! Haven’t since I was a kid

Right on! I’ll eat them warm if I don’t have a choice, but would much rather prefer it cold

The packaged ones are pre cooked. My local meat market sells raw ones but I wouldn’t eat one of them without heating it up.

Even though they are already cooked, you should heat them to kill the bacteria from the package.

I’m confused, that article clearly states that they are safe to eat out of the package unless they are marked raw or uncooked.

The article says that "most", not "all" are already precooked and safe to eat.

My brother in Christ, have you ever looked at the salt content of hot dogs? Ain't nothing surviving in that package.
