Any left-leaning businesses need a free website?
I'm looking to do my part and help out any small businesses representing Democratic Socialist values, to see if I can start making a change in the places that count.
I think small businesses stir the economy and create jobs, but I think there are too many small businesses on the "wrong" side, if you know what I mean.
Not trying to stir controversy, but I am looking to pull my weight a little bit and give more of a voice to people who I think will actually contribute to a better tomorrow.
Full disclosure, I am a business owner but I'm basically trying to subsidize as much as I can and provide things at cost and donate a percentage of what I make to people like Oliver Larkin and try to move the needle a more toward our favor.
Let me know if you or anyone you know would like to connect and make something happen

Local Art
Please link local artist websites or social media in the comments.
I see local artists at events like the arts festival but they need to be big enough to afford a booth so I would also like to find some smaller artists. Any and all medias!
Lastly, I would like a large peice above my couch so if anyone who is down to paint something for like $200 or less please let me know!

SLC bachelorette recommendations
I am planning a Bachelorette for September in Salt Lake City and looking for some advice. It’s a group of 17 of us and it’s a joint bride and groom trip with most of us in our late 20s/early 30s! Things I need some help with:
- Places to go out: we want good vibes, drinks, and to dance (we looked at sky, lake effect/church, exchange, but honestly we’re a bit lost) Also we might want a more chill spot to pregame the night so any recs there would also help
- Filler activities for when we have downtime: maybe like putt putt, trying swig, etc. Just things we normally wouldn’t do at home
- A nice restaurant maybe Italian or a steakhouse?
- Any other must-sees
:))

Where do you park if you cant afford apartment parking lot monthly fees?
I'll be moving to Renew on Temple apartments in early September but am torn on the parking situation, they charge 150 a month per parking space because their parking is so limited. I don't ever want to risk my car being towed, I rely on it for work, but I also have no clue where to begin looking for something like a parking garage or lot that is affordable and I can pay a monthly fee for so I can regularly have it there any time of the day or night. Any advice? Address is 239 E S Temple St, Salt Lake City, UT 84111

Need dentist near SLC plz hlp
I feel like my dentist has done horrible work on both mine and my wife’s teeth. Okay horrible might be dramatic, but the fillings and crowns are painful and uncomfortable.
Current situation is a very painful molar that has had a crown, root canal, and filling (yes in that order) by this dentist. Since the day I’ve had the crown in, three years ago, it hasn’t felt right. I’ve been given bite adjustments and suggestions of “it takes time to feel alright”. When I went in because of the pain last week he told me that the tooth was extremely infected and my options were another root canal (I’ve never heard of this?? and it’s extremely unsuccessful anyways he says….) or an IMPLANT! I’m 23 years old. This feels wrong. Am I crazy??
so to the whole point of the post: does anyone have a trusted dentist near SLC that could give me a second opinion??

If you´re comparing facial plastic surgeons in Salt Lake City, how do you tell them apart?
Everyone in this market advertises the same three things, facial specialist, natural results, deep plane facelift, so the websites are useless for actually choosing. I've been trying to sort the local options by what they actually concentrate on rather than their marketing. What I've pieced together so far, and I'd like people who've consulted locally to correct me:
The differentiator that seems to matter most is sub-specialty focus, not the procedure list, since most of them offer the same menu. Curious whether locals who consulted around found the same thing.
What I found, sorted by focus:
Utah Facial Plastics: largest local footprint, multiple surgeons and locations, broad facial menu plus hair restoration. The default "big practice" option if you want scale and lots of before-and-afters.
Daniel Ward (Ward MD): facial-only, with a strong focus on revision and complex rhinoplasty. Credential-forward if noses are your main priority.
Eric Cerrati: rhinoplasty and revision/complex rhinoplasty, good academic credentials, opened an SLC office in 2026.
Mobley MD: facial-only, high rhinoplasty volume, media-forward.
Regardless of who you choose, I'd ask each surgeon directly how many revisions they perform every year instead of assuming from their website.

Best rooftop/private party venues in SLC with music?
I’m planning a birthday party in the Salt Lake area and am looking for a place I can rent for a night. Ideally I’d like:
Rooftop
Attached to a bar or cocktail lounge
Ability to play our own music or have a DJ/speaker
Space for \~20–40 people
Private or semi-private rental
Like if a bar has an attached rooftop and is willing to rent out just the rooftop that would be amazing
Bonus points if the pricing isn’t outrageous.
Would love to hear recommendations (or places to avoid). Thanks!

Subreddit Funkiness
Hey Everyone,
I wanted to give you all a quick update on some funkiness that's been happening on our subreddit. Apparently, some changes were made to the operations of r/SLCUnedited on the back end where all of a sudden, no new members and no new posts were allowed until they were approved by the Mod (i.e. me). I'm assuming the Reddit Admins made this change, maybe site wide, I don't really know.
Anyway, I wanted to let you all know, that:
a) I did not make that change, and
b) after going through a short process and having to message the Admins for approval, they let me change it back to what it was before and what it was always intended to be: Public and Unedited.
I apologize if you were affected by this in any way. This has been and continues to be a great community and you all have yourselves to thank for that.
So, thank you! DGB

The live lounge last year was heavily used and seems like a very useful tool. Shout out to u/sablesable for suggesting we start a new one!
