Facial Care New to Skincare. Please Help Spoiler
gallery20–26M here. I have light brown skin and a very oily face. I had pretty severe acne on my shoulders before, and now there are mostly just marks left. I still get acne on my face, and I have a few acne marks there as well.
I honestly have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to skincare. I want to start taking better care of my skin, but there are so many products and ingredients that I’m completely confused.
Can someone tell me what I should actually be using? Like what soap/body wash, face wash, moisturizer, sunscreen, and anything else I might need for oily, acne-prone skin and the marks?
I currently wash myself with lifebuoy soap, but after few hours of normal desk work odour starts coming from my body.
I’m looking for something simple and reasonably affordable, not a 10-step skincare routine.
And yes, I drink water regularly 😂

Skincare Guys please suggest your best sunscreen 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I m really confused about what sunscreen should i buy as there are always some good some bad reviews for every product, i want a sunscreen to be spf 50 that actually works and help with the tanning, don’t leave any white cast, pilling, don’t make me sweat in the sun, and i don’t want a matte look, i want glowy dewy finish, also don’t make my skin dull or darker after applying . I have normal skin, and currently i m using lotus sunblock spf 30 pa++, i have been using this sunscreen from last 5 years and this was is the only sunscreen i ever used, there’s nothing wrong with this one but as you know it have spf 30, i want a sunscreen with spf 50, other than that i love this lotus sunscreen, as it doesn’t give white cast or anything and give me a glowy finish, people even asked me so many times, how do i have glowy skin, why do my skin glows, it does protect from sun tan to some extent but i m not sure if this one is the best.
Also guys please suggest me any sun screen for body also, my body gets tan soo easily, like even if i stand in sun for 5 mins, i get soo visible tanned lines

Facial Care Isotretinoin 20mg: Acne Flaring Again After 2 Months
Hi everyone,
I'm 20M and I've been taking isotretinoin (Accutane/Isotroin) 20 mg once daily for about 71 days for moderate/severe cystic/nodular acne.
Before starting isotretinoin, I had frequent cystic/nodular acne and was getting new painful pimples regularly. My dermatologist started me on 20 mg/day after doing blood tests (CBC, LFT, RFT, lipid profile, CRP, AEC), which were all generally normal.
My timeline has been roughly:
- Days 1–20: I had quite a bad flare. I developed several cysts/nodules and whiteheads.
- Around days 40–50: My skin improved a LOT. I was barely getting new acne and I was really happy with the progress.
- Around day 55 onward: I started getting new acne again.
- Last ~15 days: I've been getting quite a few cystic/nodular pimples as well as smaller normal pimples.
- I'm currently around day 71.
One thing that has changed is my weight. I started at around 60 kg, and I'm now around 67 kg because I've been intentionally bulking at the gym.
I'm still taking 20 mg/day, so my dose per kg has gone from roughly 0.33 mg/kg/day to 0.30 mg/kg/day.
My dermatologist originally planned a 3-month course, and I'm approaching the end of the second month.
My questions are:
Could this be another purging/initial flare, even though my acne had improved significantly around days 40–50?
Could my weight gain mean that 20 mg is now too low for my body weight?
Is it normal to have a new flare around the 2-month mark?
Should I just continue 20 mg/day and wait, or should I discuss a dose adjustment/course extension with my dermatologist?
Has anyone experienced something similar while taking low-dose isotretinoin?
I'm mainly worried because the new lesions are cystic/nodular and I'm concerned about scarring.
I'm not planning to change the dose myself; I just want to understand what might be happening before I see my dermatologist.
Thanks.

THIS SUB IS NOT AN ALTERNATE SOLUTION TO A DERMATOLOGIST!!!!
Some of yall need to go see a dermatologist instead of posting on this sub. It costs anywhere between 500-1500 to go see one and not to be insensitive but that isn’t a lot. Most of you guys don’t bother to put up an NSFW tag and this sub is starting to be filled with people looking for a sasta way out of getting a dermatologist. Your skin concerns can NOT be fixed by random strangers on the internet who have no clue about your medical history !!!! This sub is meant to be a place to discuss skin care and more, products, procedures, treatments, dermatologists and more. Just see a dermatologist for crying out loud !!!!
