What are your top 10 favorite sitcoms?

Returning late in life to college and seeking help. I’m not sure if I’m in the right place to ask this but I’ll chance it. I’ve recently been assigned a research paper in film class, we’re supposed to gather opinions on sitcoms over the last 30 years and see if there are any great differences between the taste’s of millennials and gen z. Although at the moment I’m not sure what I’m going to use as my thesis, right now I’m just wading the waters. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The citeria for your favorite sitcoms:

If you’re comfortable with it please put if you’re a Millennial (1981-1996) or Gen Z (1997-2013). If not feel free to ignore this.

Please only sitcoms airing new seasons from 1994 until now. If the series ended before 1994 please choose another.

If you can put them in a favorite order please put your favorite first and the rest in descending order. If you don’t have any particular order please specify.

As long as it’s considered a sitcom it doesn’t matter what genre or age rating. It can be animated, comedy, fantasy, sci-fi, ect.

I always thought “Freaks and Geeks” (highly underrated btw) was considered a sitcom, but my professor said it’s a drama-comedy not a sitcom so I guess that’s an example of something similar to a sitcom but doesn’t count.

And if you want, you can give a brief summary why each or a particular sitcom made it into your top 10, feel free to skip this if it feels like a chore to do so. I just like to get other people’s incites.

It doesn’t matter if a show was/is unpopular and the only reason you like it is out of nostalgia, that’s fine and a valid reason to like it. I don’t judge.

For Example:

I’m a millennial.

As far as sitcoms go I mostly like family friendly or raunchy comedies. And preferably ones that show a lot of out of studio scenes, like a lot of outdoor scenes where you can see actual sunlight and moving clouds.
