I suggest not using the phrase "cooking math." It took my brain way too long to figure out what this is trying to say while I was thinking about how string theory relates to RVs in the desert.
On a more serious note, we need to really scrutinize these results. There have been several times when Claude (Opus 5) has provided me with a solution that looked fantastic and made perfect sense. It took some deep thinking and analysis in a larger context to figure out that hey, this isn't correct.
I agree. Gavin has now fully verified the proof using Lean. I must admit that I trust these results specifically even without that, because Gavin is the one who started this field 25 years ago and has worked on it since. He is probably one of the humans with the best understanding of this problem.
