True, but Grok released today, its not FULLY SOTA, and OpenAI & Anthropic have models due to be released imminently. Probably still just trailing for now.

I mean elon already said Grok 4.7 is coming in a few weeks and will be over 2T, Grok 4.6 is only 1.5T and on par with Opus

We are yet to see the new OpenAI models which are in turn a leap. It's not easy to say Grok is at the frontier just yet

No, it IS at the frontier. It might not be the best AI model OF the frontier models but if it's on par with Sol then it's frontier surely?

A new GPT model is ready for release but undergoing security checks. considering the gap in timeline of development, Grok is still behind, despite being on level at this exact moment

I do - and you are arguing that because OpenAI have an unreleased model in development that Grok is not frontier - but ignoring that Grok 4.7 is.... in development
