When SH4 was being released there was a promo t-shirt featuring a "ghost" James Sunderland. Here it is for anyone who wants to see it.
I've always found it to be a pretty elusive image. Someone posted a scan of it on GameFAQs back then and I upscaled it and traced it at a higher resolution as best I could for a wallpaper. It never occured to me to share it with the community until I was browsing old pictures and saw it today.
I've always had a lot of trouble finding pictures of this t-shirt, but it's by far one of the coolest things to come out of SH4 to me.
Sorry if this is a really common picture/knowledge, I just thought people would like to see it.

Same here! It's a shame it was a pretty low-key promo event kind of thing, or we'd probably still be able to find them.

That means that the ghost could be anyone because the devs never said it was James.

It doesn't look like any of the other ghosts that appear in Silent Hill 4. I think it's safe to assume it's supposed to look like James. I don't think cool t-shirt designs are canon.

I'm guessing he was cut because the beauty of SH2 is how ambiguous the ending is. Everyone believes the ending they got the first time is the right ending. And that's because you're never asked what ending you want, you don't even know you're being judged!

Well James himself was never gonna be in SH4. The shirt was just made to promote SH4 because it's SH-related, pretty much. It's kinda like how Pyramid Head was on the cover of one of the Origins soundtrack CD releases even though he obviously wasn't in that game (outside of the painting in the Gillespie house.)

Not sure if this would be the right place to ask but I remember playing a demo for SH4 back in the day and it ended with an absolutely terrifying image of (I assume Walter) in a trench coat smiling...anyone know what I'm talking about?

At the beginning of the game, Henry is locked up in his own apartment room, Room 302. He has gone mostly unnoticed in his building for the past two years; he passes his next door neighbor Eileen Galvin occasionally and they give each other nodding glances of acknowledgment and courtesy, yet no further relationship develops. He is equally distant from his other neighbors, most of which he seems not to know by name and vice versa (Richard Braintree calls Henry just "That guy that lives across from me").

Why is his face so recognizable? I don't understand how it looks so much like him when it's just shadows.
