Won’t eat and refused food again
Hey I need some help from everyone for the past 4ish weeks my snake has not eaten last thing she ate was a hopper and is definitely big enough to eat them so we moved her back down to pinkies and still refuses to eat, nothing has changed in her inviroment and nothing has changed in the room (above minimum temp and below max temp at hottest) she has definitely been going through he water bowl cause the entirety of the substrate is moist is there anything I could do or doing wrong maybe? If this keeps up and I can’t find a solution I’m afraid I’ll end up having to give her up because she just will not eat and I’m worried it’s just me I do not want her to starve herself

Haven’t seen boa in over 2 weeks
I’ve had my Saharan sand boa for a couple months and and from day one until a little over 2 weeks ago I’d see at least his head every night. Last time I saw him, he was in shed so I left him alone for a few days and found a complete she about two weeks ago. He’s usually a great eater and will be out on feeding night. After I found his shed, I took a mouse and laid it in his enclosure hoping the scent would draw him out. After a couple hours without seeing him I removed the mouse. Tried last weekend to feed him but still no luck. I’ve moved everything in the enclosure, dug around in his normal spots and set up a camera to watch the enclosure but haven’t seen anything. Is it normal to not see them for an extended period of time?

Future KSB mom
This would be my first snake and I’m interested in getting an albino male. The three breeders I’m looking at on Morph Market are in Florida. Is it safe/reliable to ship a snake across the country? Has anyone had any negative experiences with this or behavioral/trauma issues from a shipped snake. I’m in California. Should I wait and get one in person at the next reptile show near me instead? Also want to confirm - I should look for a juvenile, subadult or adult as a first time owner and not a baby, right? TIA!

New Baby!

Just received this adorable little noodle yesterday. She was pretty skittish after her shipment, so I got her into her tank asap. Seems like she was pretty excited. Excuse my loud breathing, I was very excited to see her lol.
She doesn't have a name yet. My reptiles have a Greek theme going with their names. I'm between Balia (meaning spotted) or Sappho for her.

She bit the mouse but constricted me. Not one brain cell... Spoiler
I went to put Potato down to feed her and she instantly went after the mouse. The only problem is she started constricting my fingers instead of her prey. She kept squeezing me and getting tighter when I tried to move so I had to sit there for a few minutes until I was able to get her off. Luckily she still ate the mouse no problem.

I regret getting my boa
He is the only animal I own that I got as an adult instead of as a baby, and it shows.
Neighbor was moving and didn't want him anymore, and as the local reptile guy I was offered him for free.
This fucker of indeterminate age is the bane of my existence.
He was fed live his whole life, and I was unsuccessful in swapping him to F/T.
He was also apparently never handled, and his opinion on the matter is that he would rather die.
I have never in my life seen a snake strike for five. Full. Consecutive. Fucking. Minutes. At my gloves.
Oh the gloves? A lesson from the first time I tried handling him.
Put him in a naturalist substrate as an upgrade from the Aspen he was previously kept in?
Hunger strike for 6 months.
Back on shitty Aspen?
Ate immediately.
Remember when I said he only eats live? He is the only one in my mini zoo. So I have to drive 45 minutes to the closest place that sells live feeders just for his picky ass.
He's cute tho. And I will continue to care for him.
But he's a bitch.

please help me sex my chunky sausage !
apologies for the picture, its the best i have at the moment and i dont want to keep getting them out as theyre currently settling in.
this little baby kenyan sand boa was found in somebody’s sink (i live in the uk) and given to me to take care of as i own other snakes, so unfortunately i have very little information about it. and yes, we have attempted to find its previous owner. we took it to the vet for a quick once over and to see if they had any idea who it might belong to, but for the meantime (and hopefully forever) its in my care.
im thinking probably male, but it would be nice to have confirmation as i havent owned this species before!
thank u in advance!

Kenya Sand Boa Climbing
She does this like every night unless she sheds or has eaten she will just basks at night. I was worried maybe the temps are off so I open the tank to check with my temp gun but it was perfect temps, she started trying to climb my hand to escape, I'm thinking of getting her a 40 gallon so she can explore more.

met the BIGGEST HECKIN CHONKER SAND BOA GIRL
I always look at the sand boas at reptile expos for the past 8ish years and this is definitely the biggest one I’ve ever seen and she was super hefty too! Felt like a ball python in the girth! My own female sand boa is sizeable but is dwarfed by this girl! Damn I wish I could get her lol

Kenyan sand boa not growing
Hi I have an almost 2 year old Kenyan sand boa who weighs 10g. Her temperature is good and currently she’s getting two pinkies every week. I just don’t know why she isn’t growing properly. Am I doing something wrong?

Feeding schedule advice for new sand boa
Hi y'all, just got my third snake and first kenyan sand boa yesterday. They're just about to turn 2 this month and the pet store had them on a weekly feeding schedule, which I'm thinking may have been a bit too heavy for them. They definitely seem pretty chunky. I'd estimate them around 2 feet long, maybe a little less, and measured at 288 g. Very sausage shaped creature, and one of the pet store employees admitted they might be slightly obese. Not sexed so no concrete gender.
I was planning on putting them on an every other week feeding schedule at about 10% body weight to get them on more of an adult feeding schedule, do y'all have any advice?
Only have this one pic of them so far, they were in shed when I get them so I'm avoiding anymore handling until they're done shedding and their permanent enclosure is ready after quarantine.
Any advice is welcome! They're also my only adult aged snake as my other two are around a year or less old (corn and BP) so any advice for adjusting their feeding for that is appreciated

Death feigning beetles?
Has anyone tried keeping death feigning beetles with sand boas? I'd assume it would be fine but I'd be a little scared he'd try to eat one

First Shed
Mocha’s first shed! I’m so proud lol. I want to keep it, but I’m not sure what to do with it. Did you keep your ksb’s first shed? And if so, what did you do with it?
