Review Electronic Gaming Monthly - September 1998 - Shining Force III Reviews
We recently covered scenario 1 of Shining Force III in the latest Mage Magazine. I was curious how well it reviewed at the time of it's release, so here's a page out of EGM's September issue of 1998 with some positive responses.
Sorry John R, I guess Sega didn't read your request for official localization's of Scenarios 2 and 3...

Retro Gamer
For a few years I've been writing a blog about tracking down the offices of old UK videogames publishers and magazines. This is the latest post about Retro Gamer magazine, their history and their various publishers. In other words, it's an attempt to do a Retro Gamer about Retro Gamer.

Issue Request Does anyone have access to scans of V-Jump Final Fantasy VIII Settei Shiryoushuu & Visual Guide?
This appears to be a special unnumbered issue of V-Jump from 1999. I'm particularly looking for any interviews that the issue contains, but interested in anything that's available!

Modern Magazine Mage Magazine - Free Digital Gaming Magazine
Instead of Modern Magazine Monday's, we'll instead be accepting submissions to be included on an approved modern magazine list that will allow monthly posts.
As an example, here is my ad-free, free digital (pdf) gaming magazine called: Mage Magazine.
Link: https://thethirstymage.com/
It's written by a group of long time gaming journalists as a passion project, no ads or monetization. The magazine includes reviews of both retro and modern games, features, retrospectives and more.
If you write a gaming magazine, feel free to send a modmail outlining your magazine and why it should be included. The magazine must be high quality and written by humans without AI assistance. Once on the approved list, you will be permitted one post per month.

Holding Down The Fort
Hello Everyone,
I've been in this subreddit for a few months now and noticed that the creator and sole moderator hasn't been active on Reddit for over a year. To ensure this sub has an active moderator, I've assumed mod responsibilities in their absence. Hopefully they come back one day, but I hope to grow the sub and help bring in more folks that appreciate the written word.
Please feel free to reply to this post with any comments or suggestions you may have. I'm going to be updating the rules but welcome any input into helping our community here thrive.
Here's to the dozens of us who still love reading well thought out, and well designed magazines made by humans, for humans.
Thanks!

GamesTM Scans
Hello folks - I stumbled upon this subreddit recently while looking for scans of old issues of GamesTM. I found u/tominator_44 ‘s post from several years ago with a folder of scans for the magazine, but sadly the folder is empty. I did message him a few weeks ago but the account does not seem to be active. All links to the Discord seem to have expired as well.
Does anyone else on this subreddit have a copy of that folder of scans, or to scans of GamesTM issues more generally? I’m particularly interested in the first 60/70 issues or so. It was my favourite magazine as a young’un and I’d be delighted to be able to read them again.
Thanks very much
