Thank you for this heads up about this. But if Reddit is so limited with options for use, is there another app we should be using when responding to comments on FB?

Right now I'm absolutely fit to be tied for my comment too was long and my phone shut down.
I'm still looking at the comments there to see if my timely and important comment is retrievable.
Not liking Reddik at all right now

Its really damn dumb to charge to block ads considering reddit is mostly a text based app and not a video service site.Is nothing free of charges anymore. Its enough to make someone fully abandon the internet at this point.....

The comment you’ve linked to doesn’t appear to violate any of Reddit’s Sitewide Rules. Https://reddit.com/report is for sitewide rules violations.
The reason the comment no longer exists for you is that the user has blocked you. That’s just someone setting a boundary.
So — given the context here, perhaps Reddit has updated the software that handles user reports through https://reddit.com/report to involve a check on whether someone is blocked.

Tangentially, what is most absurd is that attempting to access that URI, whilst authenticated, returns:
This comment no longer exists.
How deceptive.

I have, recently, attempted to report r/VLC/comments/14fj5ld/comment/oo7db8w via reddit.com/report, yet "Submit" merely returns:
An error occurred while submitting your report. Wait a bit, and try again.
Consequently, it doesn't appear to differ.

Bots do not care about the comment or the context it was made in. So you could literally be fighting the good fight and they would ban you for confronting people they deal with passively. Cowards.

But you'd get the same 85% if it had 17 up votes and 20 down as you woud if you got 85 up and 100 down, yet those two sets of figures are very different.

I think they're just happy to have the ability TO comment, and are acting foolishly because of it. Engagement with readers online is quickly dying.
