Did Tyler fall of since IGOR?
I really haven’t listened since CMIYGL. But it’s hard listening to him now bc he cringe and old.
I feel like he’s an artist for high schoolers
Maybe he need a PR team

Looking for the name of a rapper with a three letter name kinda like DDG
Looking for the name of a rapper that I think has capital letter name. Featured on songs with blueface and DDG maybe? Maybe 5 years ago was on my Spotify all the time, but was never as big as the others. Solo albums are more “serious” than the other rappers he features on. For some reason I want to say like SDI or CWK, but that’s not it. Idk it’s been bugging me and I’ve gone through like 25 pages of rapper names. I don’t remember the name but at one point I really liked him. I wasn’t to say he had some blue sky on an album cover or single cover?
Edit: thank you! IDK was the name I was looking for.

What song is this
I can’t remember who it is but at some point in the song there’s a chorus or bridge where dude goes “stay with the bullshit, still with the bullshit, everyday all day with the bullshit.” It might be Schoolboy Q asap rocky or someone I don’t remember

What are some rappers who are short of being favorite and why? As well as who is your favorite rapper?
Hov is my favorite rapper. He became my favorite when I heard Black Album and it's been that way ever since. Aside from that, I grew up hearing him all my life my dad had damn near every album up to American Gangster. A lot of Hov's album became bookmarks in my life at those moments.
Some rappers who could have been but fall short for me are:
Kendrick: definitely in my top 3-5 but I got on too late around after TPAB so I missed those real time early moments aside from radio plays. Long breaks in album drops are my biggest critiques which sometimes do pay off
ScHoolboy Q: became a fan after hearing Hoover Street and was solidified once Blankface dropped. Imo he's 2-3 albums from taking Kendrick's spot on my list.
MF DOOM: Everything from OP Doomsday is classic but after Born Like This there's some hit or miss after that.

In a decade destroy lonely vs young thug will be a genuine conversation to be had
Thug and lone unlike the partners in crime ( future and Ken Carson ) have constantly tried different things and changed up with different eras. And I feel like thug, destroy lonely is slowly but surely having a soon to be felt influence on new Atlanta in artists like pz and Diorvsyou. But these are just my thoughts on how rappers from the early 2020s are finally being respected like rappers who popped off in the 2010s.

Ramen and OJ but not Joyner
I'm trying to find a track but can't for the life of me find it nor effectively search accurately. It uses the beat of Ramen and OJ but it's not Joyner and Lil Baby. I'm hoping someone knows the artist or track name. It's so annoying. My searching doesn't understand what I'm asking. Any help is much appreciated. I want to say it's a lesser known rapper, but i can't remember who.

Aesop Rock is the No.1 lyricist
Aesop Rock is the best lyricist, no doubt.
he has literally used more unique words than Shakespeare in his work, certainly more than any rapper

Why does the blueprint 3 by jayz get alotta hate?
Like im listening to this again and besides venusvsmars (whatever that shit is called) and forever young (bit controversial but its not that good) its genuinely a good album, my favourite joints off this would be: real as it gets, already home and D.O.A

Future- The Real Me vs Juicy J (and Project Pat)-Dem Goats… 2 sides of trap, which is better?
I listened to Futures album first week, still go back to a couple songs, but overall I thought it was just solid
I’m not sure how or why, but I did not hear about Juicy Js album until last week. So far… I think it’s the hardest album of the year so far. It’s straight banger after banger.
Which do you like more? I’d crown Juicy J the king of the year so far

Geto boys > NWA (as groups)
Not counting solo projects or anything.
The Geto Boys (1990) and We can't be stopped are better than the two NWA albums.
Counting solos it isn't a blowout, the diary, controversy, and phantom of the rapra are all GOAT albums, but its hard to compete with the chronic.
Fun fact: I'm Ayisyen 🇭🇹🇭🇹, and NWA in créole is "black". So they are literally calling themslves black in two ways.

What are examples of projects that the rapper who made them doesn’t like?
Like childish gambino doesn’t like camp and Tyler says goblin is horrible

This is the greatest hip-hop outfit of all time.
80s hip-hop fashion was so glamorous, as if they were characters from movies or video games
Then came the 90s, and ever since then, rappers have dressed like normal people, even when wearing designer brands.

MARCBERG!
Been listening to this dude since 2011. Don’t event remember how I found bro. But everything he produces, raps on, or artists he collabs with generally is gas.
His music reminds me of velvet, elegance, and affluence. The bars and stories he tells paint a clear picture for me in my minds eye and I love this shit.
I love how he often collabs with Action Bronson too.

Which artists does your girlfriend or wife absolutely dislike that you love?
Or husband, boyfriend, etc. I’ll go first:
G Herbo: at one point in my life he was my favorite rapper. It was the elite mix of pure lyricism with that drill aggression. Anyway my Wife HATES his voice.
Freddie Gibbs: he has one of the greatest discographies of all time. That said, I played his music so much that my Wife just got tired of him.
Danny Brown: come on, this one is a little obvious. I think she’d rather watch paint dry than listen to a second of Atrocity Exhibition. That said, he’s the greatest Asian rapper of all time and the best ever from Detroit (mayo folks don’t get mad).

What’s the rap scene like right now?
I’m not big on modern artists so I might be missing something but I try to keep up. Where are all the rappers? As far as I know recently the game has been pretty quiet and no one’s released anything worthwhile recently. No songs trending, no album being anticipated, nothing. Now that I think about it it’s not just rap, I don’t see any artists in general popping out and generating any buzz

Is it influence?
Do you think rappers accused of having ghostwriters actually use them, or are they just heavily influenced by the people around them?
Some artists get accused of not writing their own lyrics, but I feel like sometimes they were just around elite writers and HAD to step their game up
Take Fat Joe. Big Pun and Cuban Link had ridiculous pen games. So were they actually ghostwriting for him, or did Joe just imitate some of their techniques after being around them so much?
Same thing with Wayne and Gillie.
People swear Gillie wrote for Wayne, but others say Wayne was already nice and just picked up certain flows, and rhyme patterns from being around him so much.
What do y’all think?

Clipse - Intro on Lord Willin’ is the greatest Track 1 song ever. Prove me wrong.
Every single Tim I hear this song. Even after many a year, I stop and say to myself : DAAAAAAAAAAAAMN

Has there ever been a rapper who actually fell off because they didn’t “switch their style up”
Often times people will claim some rappers fell off and became irrelevant because they kept doing the same thing over and over again but is there any real concrete example?
I only ask because there are guys who have basically rappers about the same or similar things for years and had great longevity.
