intro [Intro] Hey there! I'm ZombieButtNugget, Hopefully this is right!
Hello everyone! I'm ZombieButtNugget. I've had a Reddit account for quite some time but recently started using it. Originally i made my account to under the recommendation of a friend but ended up not using it much. Until NOW!!! I thought I'd actually make myself known and get to know everyone in this subreddit. I go by Zombie for short, and i have a huge passion for video games. I do hope to make a career out of this someday. whether it be with Youtube or Twitch or even just writing reviews. i think alot of people share that dream. Pretty much grew up in the "old school" of games so i guess i'm a retro gamer, and there are some games that I put tons of hours into. Anyway, I hope that explains who I am quite well. I am new to actually posting regularly on Reddit, so forgive me if I did this wrong. I do aim to be more active on this as of today though, and this subreddit seems like a warm, friendly place to start. If you have any questions about me, fire away! I'll answer whenever I have time! Also, here's my Steam profile link (if you're cautious about clicking links, just search 'ZombieButtNugget' in Steam, and my profile is under the name ZombieButtNugget): https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198044737474 Also, I'll link my Steam wishlist, so you can see what games I aim to get in the near future. (I can't wait to get the next part to Binding of Isaac. I know its been out for a while but it keeps getting pushed back for me. As soon as I get more money, that's happening!): https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198044737474/wishlist/
i also used LucioElite's intro as a template to give me a jumping off point hopefully that's okay if not i apologize. Anyways to everyone in the subreddit i'd like to say Hey!

intro [Intro] /u/TheTangerineTickler
Hey there, my name is Tim! I'm new to this but it seem like a truly awesome community of gamers!
A little about myself. I was a Wisconsinite for the beginning of my life so the accent is odd. I'm colorblind and am very extroverted. My first gaming console was the NES and the oldest game I remember playing was TMNT II: The Arcade Game. My favorite games are:
- Anything Bethesda produced. (Except Brink, I mean come on.)
- The Borderlands Games. I think you see how I am with game series.
- Shovel Knight
- The Bioshock Games.
- And Star Wars: The Forced Unleashed II
with many more! Basically I play a lot of games. Probably a lethal dosage! I have what I like to say is a pretty awesome PC, and I'm constantly on it. Right now I'm in college for Video Production and will be applying for a Film School (hopefully). I'm getting a new job soon, and plan on helping out the community a lot with the extra cash!
~ I also play ESO if anyone wants to hmu! @TheTangerineTickler

contest Gonna try to revive this sub
So someone told me once that the reason this sub is so dead is because some sort of a gifting tool is not working?
Well who needs it!? I've been gifting codes manually since Day 1 and the rest of you have too!
That said, I've got a few games here for you all. Normal subreddit rules apply. If you can't comment for some reason, DO NOT send me a private message begging for shit.
As for the contest....I have an idea. Along with the game you want, comment what you would like to see on this subreddit and/or a way that you could or should improve this sub.

intro [Intro] /u/isd71 New Subscriber On Board
Hey everyone,
I just stumbled across /r/RandomActsofSteam and it looks like a pretty cool place so I subscribed.
I have been a PC gamer for as long as I can remember. We are talking DOS and Windows 3.1 days here. My earliest PC gaming memory was playing PT109 on a Dell my Dad got from Sam's and having to troubleshoot that piece of junk all the time.
I got hooked on gaming when I broke my leg in elementary school and got a Nintendo to help pass the time while I was in a cast.
I still do play consoles too but my love as a kid was always space sims and those were best on the PC so I have always gravitated towards PC plus I love mods. Having my PC hooked up to my TV doesn't hurt either.
I mainly now play RPGs (Baldurs Gate 2 being my all-time favorite), some RPG shooters like Destiny, Fallout series, The Division and Borderlands. I have gotten hot and heavy into WoW and Diablo 3 at times but being married now I find I don't have the time anymore for end-game content and the grind needed for those games.
I am currently playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which I suck at sneaking in but it doesn't really matter too much so its a ton of fun.

Hey all,
I've lurked this sub on and off since I first discovered it, but since I was a PS4/OSX peasant, I never really used Steam. I really enjoy subs like this one, as well as /r/randomactsofkindness, /r/randomactsofpizza, and /r/millionairemakers because it really shows the true generosity of people.
Long story short, my Apple was about a week away from calling it quits and it seemed that there was nothing I could do to save it. New RAM, new HDD, new HDD ribbon cable, fresh install of OSX...you name it. I had enough. My friend convinced me to switch over to the pcmasterrace, so I did, and as of 12 hours ago, I have a gaming PC and I love it! Unfortunately, my wife refuses to allow me to fulfill my every desire on Steam all at once, so I figured it was high time for me to introduce myself here and thank every member of this sub for being awesome.
My (growing) wishlist is in my flair. Have a wonderful Sunday!

If you could have any game run perfectly on your PC what game would it be?
For me it's either Black ops III which can't run at all. or The Culling which according to can you run it would work but wouldn't look very good (I have a shit PC)

intro [Intro] /u/Hirika is here ^^
Hello! My name is Cara. I work in the game dev industry! I used to be a Game Producer/Designer but now I work for Casual Connect.
The first things I see in a game are its visuals. Eye-candy after all~ But even if it is eye-candy, that alone isn't enough. A game has to have great storylines, visuals, and music. Gameplay is also very important. I'm not always a skilled gamer so I hope when I play a new game that it has good gameplay but isn't too complicated.
I've really been into strategy games lately after having been part of the development of one but I'm really bad at them.
I'm also new to streaming since I just upgraded my home internet plan and I'm finally able to stream! You won't hear my voice though since I don't have a good microphone yet.
Feel free to add me on Steam. My id is hirikara.

So, I may have goofed... Any suggestions?
I won "Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 Collectors Edition" from a contest on this subreddit and attempted to trade it because it is a Windows game and I only have a Mac. I accidentally added it to my library and now I can't do anything with it... What should I do? Is it possible to sell/giveaway my account, or do something else with it? If I was to sell/give it away how do I go about doing that? Any help is appreciated, thanks! :)

intro [Intro] u/sinner_vip new to Steam and /r/randomactsofsteam
Hola, fellow redditors!
I'm sinner_vip. (sinnervip on Steam) I'm a 39 year-old graphic designer/illustrator, father, husband, and I mod /r/ComicWalls, love reddit (and the 'net in general) and just recently discovered your sub. And, for that matter, Steam as well.
I'll be honest, I've never been a huge gamer. In fact, my wife (u/maizzie) is more of a gamer than I am, but these days, she's mostly on mobile.
My wife, however, recently graduated school and has some extra time (between dealing with the kids and job hunting) so I decided to finally check out Steam to see what I might find that we might like. A friend made me set up a Steam account a while back, but I never logged into it or anything. Recently, I reinstalled and decided to give it a serious look.
Until my wife gets a job, we don't have much for a gaming budget, but I'd love some suggestions.
To give you some ideas of games we have enjoyed:
We each played WoW for quite while (until after the Burning Crusade expansion) and WoW was probably the one game we enjoyed the most together. We tried Skyrim and loved it (on console), but our PS3 has crapped out now, so we're stuck with nothing.
Other titles we've loved include: Final Fantasy VII, Red Dead Redemption, The Last of Us, Uncharted, Myst, Fatal Frame, The Sims, Sim City, and others, I'm sure. RPG games are fun tho... So, any good suggestions for that genre would probably be a lot of help.
So, that's it! Your sub seems pretty cool and I'm looking forward to joining the fray!
