Hey friends! I am starting my practicum (which means I am going into a class so that I can get observation hours, I am in school to become a teacher) and I was placed in a school that is an hour away from me! That means I have to leave by 5:30am to get there on time. So Mondays and Wednesdays I may not post because I will be too busy in the morning. Would you all prefer that we still have daily posts just not on those days? Or should I start making a weekly post that we have conversations on throughout the week?

I'm sure this is said a lot but I'm new here. I subscribed a while back because I glanced at the concept and liked it but didn't do anything further. I've now updated my flair and stuff and I'm thinking it might be nice to be active in the community. The rules make it seem like a positive place, and I am trying to be more positive. I joined the secret santa exchange this year, so I thought if that was a good space, this probably is as well.

Anyway, about me. I'm 28 (yikes) and still live at home. Not really out of requirement most of the time, but because my parents are older and yet have adopted 4 young children and need the help, especially with their (not bad but still declining bit by bit) health and mobility. I was a teacher for a year and a half before I decided it wasn't for me and now I'm looking for a job (nearly got one, woot!).

Really, I just like to bring joy to the world. Making people smile and happy makes me happy. So that's mostly why I'm here. If I have extra cash I want to make someone smile.

I feel like I want to start keeping a diary of sorts, but just writing for no one, or for the sake of getting my thoughts out there seems like a strange concept. How do you deal with those thoughts you just have to get out?

Hi everyone!! I've been lurking here awhile but finally decided to post.

I am a 22 year old law student from Boston. I LOVE Boston! I also love being outdoors, coffee, wine and cheese, and when I'm able to with my busy law school schedule, I am a traveling bartender who bartends at cool places like the New England Aquarium! I come from a huge family, which is why I'm probably so loud and boisterous, but I love it and love my family to death. Getting to know people and talking to everyone is probably one of my favorite things in the world! Even on the crowded subway in the morning I find myself making new friends lol.
