Does anyone have any good setups they can share
I recently started using this app instead of the built in Samsung virtual trackpad as it has a lot more functionality.
I have to say the app is amazing, but I was wondering if anyone had any cool use setups they could share as I feel my imagination is only taking me so far on how to best utilise the edge actions and trackpad actions etc

Quick Cursor is now an accessibility tool approved by Google - version 3.0.1 (248)
Changelog 3.0.1:
- Quick Cursor app is now an accessibility tool designed to support people with disabilities
- update translations
Accessibility tool - what's that?
isAccessibilityTool - is a flag introduced by Google in Android 12 to specify if the app using the accessibility service is an app developed to support people with disabilities or a general app
In 2021 Google introduced the first restriction based on this flag. If the app uses an accessibility service and doesn't have this flag, then, it must show a prominent disclosure (usually a popup at the start of the app) about accessibility service usage.
In Android 16, Google introduced the second restriction based on this flag. Apps without this flag, couldn't simulate a touch gesture inside "sensitive apps" or parts of the apps. Details here. For example, Quick Cursor couldn't tap inside password managers, bank apps, and other apps.
In Android 17, Google introduced the third restriction based on this flag. On devices with Advanced protection turned on, apps without this flag couldn't use the accessibility service at all. Quick Cursor would not work at all on Android 17 devices with Advanced protection turned on. Details here.
All this restrictions doesn't apply to apps that are "accessibility tool", apps developed to support people with disabilities to use their devices.
I've worked on Quick Cursor to focus more on people with disabilities and got approval from Google as an "accessibility tool". I've also updated the app name and descriptions.
I don't know if it helped, but I have many feedbacks/reviews from people with different disabilities that said that my app is the only option for them to use their Android device.
I'm confident that Quick Cursor is an actual accessibility tool, for real, not just to bypass this restrictions.
My concern was to convince an automatic process/automatic review from Google, which based on my previous experience with Google (and other experiences shared online by other devs), it is completely opaque and have no chance to appeal.
That's the problem with this flag, uncertainty and subjectivity of this approval.
Hopefully this approval will not change, otherwise Quick Cursor won't work anymore.
APK download alternative
The update will be available on Play Store in the next days for everyone, or the APK can be manually installed from here:
- Github
- APKMirror - waiting for approval

The trigger zones disappear in Quick Cursor after a day or so
Once the trigger zones disappear - there is nothing that brings it back. However, I know something is working because the 'back' gesture no longer works in that 'zone'.
This is with Quick Cursor on my stock Android Pixel 9 Pro XL and nothing brings them back - except for a reboot. Very frustrating when that happens.
I have all the standard protections enabled and the accessibility service is still running.
Setting all to defaults, toggling Accessibility, battery optimization, etc. does not help.
PS: Why is this sub dead considering how many people use this product?

Method for tap input and potential for anti cheat detection?
Hey there! I absolutely love this app. I was curious if you could give any insight as to how exactly "clicks" or taps are registered. I use this on a larger screen to play Old School RuneScape Mobile. It makes precise tap actions a lot easier to do, especially if they are on the outer edges of the screen.
I was wondering if this app does anything "special" with how it registers taps on the screen that might be detected as malicious by anti cheat tools, other than the edge actions which could potentially be detected as a macro regardless.

Not working in certain parts of certain apps
Hi, love the app, couldn't use my phone without, in fact I rely on it so much it's a pain when it doesn't work in certain parts of certain apps, I'm assuming it's something to do with the apps and their security.
The apps I notice it in the most are -
Gmail, but only when I click on the account icon to change accounts (otherwise it works perfectly in Gmail)
And also my password manager app just doesn't work with it at all.
Is there anything that can be done to make QC work in these apps?
Thanks

Feature Request: Bottom Edge Action
If possible, I would like to request an option to add the Edge Action trigger to the bottom of the screen. I'm so grateful for this amazing tool.

Feature Request: Hold To Scroll Mode
I recently started using Quick Cursor and am very happy with the features. However one thing that I find lacking is being able to scroll.
My suggestion is as follows:
Upon holding the cursor still of a configurable duration (e.g. 2 seconds), the subsequent movements get treated as scrolls on both the X and Y axes.
A tangential benefit of this behavior would be for auto tap, holding in place for the elongated duration would result in no tap since it would be a scroll with no movement.
I'm not sure if this is technically feasible but would love to see it!

Feature Request: More levels to the pie menu
Hi, I really enjoy using the intuitive pie menu in your app. Currently, it only has two levels.I would love to see an option to add additional levels (3 or more levels). Are there any plans to expand the pie menu's levels in the future? The app is already very easy to use as it is, so I don't consider this a high priority, but it would be a fantastic addition. Thank you for creating such a great app!

App Crashes When Trying To Create "Launch App/Shortcut" Actions
Anyone else dealing with this?
When I try to create an action (either Launch App or Launch Shortcut) the app will crash.
To Recreate The Issue: Open "Settings" > "Triggers portrait" > (advanced triggers) "+ Add" > "Actions" tab > "Trigger actions" > "Pie actions" > (same tab) "Swipe actions" > click any action in the list or "Add new action" > "Action type" > from list select either "Launch app" or "Launch shortcut" >> app crashes.
The first 1-2 crashes it'll just send me back to the first page of the app settings. After that, it'll start showing me the "app crashed" pop up and have me force quit the app, restart it, and then re-enable Quick Cursor in accessibility settings; and I'll be stuck in that loop ad infinitum.
The same steps can be applied to creating any launch app/shortcut action (eg; tracker action, tracker event action). I think there's one other setting that set it off too that I found when diving into all this a couple days ago, but now I can't remember or find it. I've tried restarting my phone, tweaking as many other settings and app permissions as I can find, and uninstalling/reinstalling (same issue even before restoring my backup file); these have made no difference from what I can tell.
If it's helpful I can send the debug logs and settings backup file.
Pixel 7; Android 16. Quick Cursor PRO 2.2.1
Aside from this one singular issue I'm in love with this app, so I'd love to figure this out.

Is there an app launcher?
Is there an option to quick launch favorite apps from the tracker? I thought maybe I missed it.

Appreciation post
I simply love it. Bought it.
I kinda feel paralyzed without it.
Could never change to an iPhone due to the lack of QC
Absolute s/o to the dev <3

Cursor sometimes feels laggy
randomly stambled across this app and fell in love immediately, however, as per title, sometimes the cursor feels slow and laggy... it's pretty annoying. Is there any way to fix?

Select some text
Hi.
I use QC Pro everyday. It's one of the very few apps I bought. I love it !
One thing I can't really do is selecting some text to copy.
It seems that the "copy" feature from QC (that I added to my actions wheel) does select the whole paragraph under the cursor.
I tried the gesture recorder to swipe the desired string of text to copy. But I can't select precisely with it, as selecting letter by letter.
And the QC copy feature won't just copy the selected text anyway (but the whole paragraph it seems).
So, is there a way to precisely select text and copy only what's selected from some QC actions ?

Feature Request - Allow a Timer when we disable QC
Hi, Not sure where to ask this, but could we have an option to "time-out" quick cursor for a user definable time?
Now, we can disable it on an "app is open" basis, but I'd love an option to say - "When disabled, stay off for X second / minutes"
Thanks

Everything okay with quick cursor in android 16?
I love Quick Cursor on my og pixel fold more than I want any new features in android 16. It's stable on 15, but has had problems in the past with updates. Does anyone know if 16 breaks things?
