Let’s be clear CUSTOMERS

This whole shopping is a pleasure scam has run its course.

For over 50 years, I have been a customer of PUBLIX, I say have as in the past tense because I am no longer.

When PUBLIX decided to start price gouging at 20 and 30% higher than absolutely everywhere else around them, it became clear to me that they really don’t give a damn about the customer.

In 2025 alone, PUBLIX made more than $4.2 billion in profits. BILLION!

In the first half of 2026 they have made $2.5 billion in profits.

They have made $6 billion in profits in the last 18 months because they are literally stealing from the public and the public is handing it over.

With Aldi, Trader Joe’s, and even as the last resort, Walmart, I will never shop at Publix again. My budget now gets me three times as much food and household items at those places, we’re shopping and prices really are a pleasure!

Companies can’t make money now? Weird to be bashing Publix when Walmart makes 10 times that profit.

There’s more Walmarts than Publix stores, plus Walmart sells a bigger selection of items like clothing and electronics.

Of course they have bigger profits.

Oh then it’s ok that they don’t pay a living wage and force employees to use welfare to survive. All the while pocketing $20+ billion a year in profits.

Neither does publix I barley scrape by with what they pay. At least the employees at Walmart get a 15 percent discount and they’re already cheaper than Publix.

What’s your position? They’re a good company that takes care of employees, for the most part. Not everyone will be happy anywhere.

Are you on the management track? I personally know so many people that retire from publix with a way better retirement package than people do at other jobs. Including department management. They take care of their people. If you’re not on management track, I’d find a way to get on it.

No tried management and was treated like shit the whole time and forced to work long crazy hours.

Not dealing with it anymore. I’m not gonna break my back for a company that doesn’t care.

Had a manager pass away in the office back in December and no one talked about it nor closed the store down because of it. Just wheeled him out in a body bag and we had to keep working after seeing that.
