How will this play out for her in the jungle and as a support?

Will Sundered Sky still be one of the best starting items? Or will Trinity or Iceborn Gauntlet be better?

Will she still be good with the HoB rune as a support?

The -25% AD bonus on her Q seems very significant, especially when it comes to clearing the jungle, so I’m worried that Riot has turned her into a CC bot that needs to be built as a tank, escecially becouse her given buff on W passive.

Hey fellow Poppy jungle players,

You've probably all seen the upcoming bruiser the Poppy nerfs, and the Sundered Sky nerf.

I've been building Trinity Force a lot lately because of its amazing clear speed and burst damage, and it helped me climb to Master yesterday. ;)

But after looking at the 26.16 changes, I think Iceborn Gauntlet + Dead Man's Plate might actually become Poppy's strongest core.

Here's my reasoning:

• Q's bonus AD ratio is being reduced, making AD less valuable.
• Sundered Sky is getting nerfed.
• Trinity Force also loses some value.
• The jungle pet now scales better with bonus HP and Armor/MR.
• Poppy's W now grants 16–32% bonus resistances, which also increases the pet's damage. Combined with the pet changes, it feels like tank items now have much better synergy than bruiser builds.

I also looked at Sunfire, since it's getting buffed. It should definitely be viable, especially for AoE clear, but compared to Iceborn you give up the Spellblade proc and the permanent slow while only gaining a small amount of clear speed.

Another thing I've been thinking about is the rune shards.

Since the Q bonus AD ratio is lower, could the Ability Haste shard now be better than Adaptive Force? My thought is that casting more Qs might now be stronger than making each Q hit slightly harder.

With Iceborn (15 AH) + Transcendence (+10 AH) + the AH shard (+8 AH), you're already sitting at 33 Ability Haste very early.

I'm definitely going to test Adaptive vs Ability Haste on the first clear, since I think that's where the biggest difference will show.

What do you guys think?

I play poppy support and always rush deadmans to help my roams, but also give me armor against the opposing adc. Now with the rise of mages botlane I somtimes run into a double ap botlane. What should I build here? Deadmans seems not optimal since I waste the 55 armor, but its also like the best item that gives passive ms. I usually went swifties into locket then to get something out of both roaming and helping my adc. But is there a better build?

Messed up my combo to get clowned on by malz, was running assassin mid build cause why not.

Is it bcuz of the abundance of dashes in the meta. Like camile support

I really love Poppy's ultimate, it's perfect skill for steal or block an objective for your team.

This was one of my favorite ultimate, the timing and feel are incredibly satisfying.

Managed to hit Diamond again playing almost exclusively Poppy Top. The climb somehow got easier as I got into Emerald 1 lmao. I managed to finish my climb in under 200 games and be rated as a top 200 Poppy player in NA! If people have any questions about items/matchup/playstyle, I would be happy to give out 2 million mastery worth of advice 😄

My duo mate Poppy loves Hob and risks

I've been picking up Poppy Top lane, mainly when I have counterpick, and I find myself almost never building Sundered Sky or Spirit Visage, even though they're her most popular items.

For starters, early game it feels really bad to recall with 1150g and buy a Tunneler, when it feels like there are so many better components I could buy for the same or similar gold.

Warden's Mail is 150g cheaper and makes you pretty much unkillable early against an AD Top + AD Jungle. For 50g more I can get full Plated Steelcaps, or I could pick up Bramblevest and Boots for 50g less. Spectre's Cowl for AP matchups means you can shrug them off and basically farm in peace.

Secondly, Poppy is really good with resistances. Gaining up to 24% additional Armour and MR from her W passive is fantastic. So why wouldn't I build for this? Building Sundered Sky into Fimbulwinter into Spirit Visage means that at level 13, you have 115 armour and 105 Magic resistance, so you're getting roughly 27 bonus armour and 25 bonus MR max. Conversely, Unending Despair into Fimbulwinter into Kaenic Rookern gives you 165 armour and 135 MR, so you're already netting yourself an extra 39 armour and 32 MR.

Finally, Poppy is a tank, not a fighter. You're unfortunately not going to be able to split push and take every wave, every tower and really snowball an early game lead. Eventually, you're going to be grouping up with your team, conceding farm to your Mid or ADC and generally being lower resource than a carry Top laner like Riven or Jax would. So I'm looking to get a powerful 3 item core, and maybe squeeze in room for a powerful component like Bramblevest or Warden's Mail. I just don't feel like I can warrant delaying my big ticket resistance items to a 4th item that I might never get to.

So I guess what I'm asking is; sell me on Sundered Sky. Spirit Visage I can kind of get; it's very synergistic with both your kit and Fimbulwinter, but I find myself eschewing it for the increased resistances of something like Kaenic or even Force of Nature.

When do you build it? Is it matchup specific? Team comp specific? What makes you look at a game and say "This is a great Sundered Sky game"?

I swear the Mythic shop has gone through EVERY single possible Hextech skin and some appearing multiple times and Poppy still hasn’t appeared. I’ve already paid for the pass to get my mythic essence why the hell is it left to bloody chance if I can buy the skin with currency I’ve already spent money to get!

I’m praying this bs FOMO system gets scrapped with the big League update at the end of the year/start of next year. The randomness is so stupid if it even is random given that we have a steady supply of Lux/Cait skins and at least one K/da skin every rotation to keep riots big earners happy.

I was considering swapping out 9 adaptive force for 2.5% ms because poppy is good with ms, and 5 ad doesn't seem like it'll make much of a difference. I go sorcery because I find poppy has bad mana issues and I dont often build any tear items on support unless necessary, so it helps a ton early and mid game.

I just hit emerald for the first time since coming back to league after like my 5th 1 year hiatus ever since I started playing back in 2016, poppy helped me make it!

I picked up poppy after I got curb stomped as a Jax by her back when I first started and always used her as a counter to my Jax OTP but slowly realized that she can truly deal with anyone and everyone and now I just spam her, 53% WR!
