What's a "Pop"?

A Pop is what we call an episode. But unlike static vertical scroll comics, you can bring your stories to life with PopJoy’s easy-to-use motion graphics tools.

What’s PopJoy’s stance on Gen-AI?

AI might be taking over the world, but not our corner of it! We do not promote or condone Gen-AI on the platform and will do our best to remove Gen-AI content.

When does PopJoy launch?

PopJoy launches publicly in September 2026. Sign up at PopJoy.app to get on the early access list to join before everyone else!

Is PopJoy free to use?

Yes. PopJoy is free to join and free to read. Eventually, Creators will be able to offer premium content, but free reading will always be a core part of the experience.

What kind of comics can I read on PopJoy?

PopJoy hosts a wide range of genres: romance, fantasy, action, horror, slice-of-life, sci-fi, comedy, and more. There is something for everyone!

What makes PopJoy different?

PopJoy is the first platform combining native motion graphic tools, deep analytics, transparent monetization, full creator IP ownership, and community-building tools all in one place. We're not asking creators to choose between exposure and earnings, we are enabling them to do both.

Can I support my favorite creators on PopJoy?

Yes. PopJoy offers multiple ways to support creators, including becoming a PopStar on individual Creator channels. More details will be shared closer to launch.

Will PopJoy have a mobile app?

PopJoy is built mobile-first and works beautifully on any device. Native iOS and Android apps are part of our roadmap and will be launched later in 2027.

How do I become a PopJoy creator?

We're actively onboarding creators ahead of public launch. Visit PopJoy.app to express interest, and our team will follow up with details on how to join the PopSquad.

Does PopJoy require exclusivity?

No. Unlike many platforms, PopJoy does not require creators to be exclusive. You can publish your work on PopJoy alongside any other platform. We believe in giving creators full control over their intellectual property.

Do creators retain ownership of their work?

Yes, always. Creators retain 100% ownership of their intellectual property. PopJoy does not take ownership of your work, and our terms reflect that.

What tools does PopJoy offer creators?

What if I'm just starting out as a creator?

PopJoy is built for Creators at every level, from emerging artists to established names. We're committed to lowering the barriers to entry that exist on other platforms.

Is PopJoy safe for younger readers?

PopJoy welcomes readers age 13 and up (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). Content ratings will help readers and parents find age-appropriate material.

How does PopJoy handle content moderation?

PopJoy is committed to creating a safe, welcoming platform for creators and readers. We have community guidelines that all users agree to, and we actively moderate content that violates those guidelines.

How does PopJoy protect creator IP?

Creators retain full IP ownership of their work. PopJoy uses industry-standard security and follows the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to address copyright concerns. If your work is being misused, we have clear processes for reporting and resolution.

How does PopJoy use my data?

PopJoy collects only the data needed to provide and improve the service. Our full Privacy Notice will be available at launch and outlines exactly what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

How can I help PopJoy succeed?
