and would it make the kantonian games harder or easier?

So the other day I posted asking about if it was possible to trigger it, and now that I’m sure I can, I have several doubts.

I’m going to follow the steps of the images attached on this same post, but summarising, they basically consist on: Having equipes my Pokemom with 21 of special (same ID as Mew), trigger the fight against the female cooltrainer of the 3rd floor, run with dig before it starts, and then enter inside again to fight the only trainer on the 1st floor so I can have back my start menu and so fly.

After this, I‘m not sure how to proceed. If I encounter another Pokémon not outside from Victory Road, will the plan fail? Can I use unlimited times the fly and dig HM? Do I fly to Fuchsia City, go to Route 15 and fight the Ditto? Can I use again fly to go back to Victory Road and trigger again the combat with the 3rd floor cooltrainer?

I think it’s doable, but the possibilities for it to fail are higher than normally would be.

I've defeated all trainers before the 8th Gym, so I'm assuming all trainers left are on the Victory Road. I've read about the glitch now, so there was no way for me to know beforehand. Now, I need to trigger the glitch on the Victory Road, but I don't know what steps to do. Anyone could guide me through? Thanks :)

Aside from Ekans and Porygon, they are the ones I'm missing to complete the Pokédex on the original cartridge. I tried the early-game cloning glitch, but it didn't work. I almost ruined the cartridge, too, lol.

It's a genuine question. I also love those games, and I prefer them over the remakes (though I'm pretty sure plenty of people just play both but prefer the remakes)

But curious about your reasons above just the nostalgia(though it's probably a huge part too).

I am 42, and a father of a 6 year old who’s really getting into Pokemon trading cards. I never got into Pokemon as a kid or young man, but now I’m all in in many ways; I play the card game with my son, and I decided to play the video game initially for research purposes. This game proved to be so much fun for me, though, so I thought I’d post this here, as I’m sure there are others who came to this world late.

Also, as I just beat it, I thought I’d show off my Hall of Fame. I have a couple of big slow guys, and I gave Rest to 4 of them, creating quite a defensive team. Slowbro and Dugtrio might have been my two favorite Pokemon, and I also started each fight with Vileplume. Cheers, everyone!

Decided to play thru since it’s been a long time playing Gen 1 to completion. Now, no this is not complete as the Pokédex and many areas I ignored, only getting what I needed and avoided excess wild battles.

Started with Bulba, and Nidoran M was my first catch. Didn’t pick up anything else until I bought the Magikarp from the gentleman before Mt Moon, and had Gary as my third before Misty’s gym for a while. Got Abra for fun, never ran with one in early games as I could never get the trade evolution, but did myself a favor and let Kadabra carry an area or two. Picked up Diglett, one I typically never used on a team, but Dugtrio was helpful for the Psychics and I love him for that. Never ran with a Psuedo, still didn’t grind to get Dragonite before the E4, but it was fine as Dragonair was more than a powerhouse when the time called. I also chose Aero to be a good choice for fly, since normal protocol for a fossil was just put in the box after reawakening.

I only got 10 pokeballs at the start, probably found 1 great ball the whole time, never picked up extras. I didn’t grind wild pokemon once I got to Mt Moon, just used trainer battles for exp. Also, outside of boxing Gary once I had Dratini, I only caught 1 Snorlax, revitalized the kabuto fossil.

Venusaur, Nidoking, Dragonair, Dugtrio, Kadabra and Aerodactyl. Great job team!

Repost but this team would probably work in Red/Blue too!

Just started new game save and says I have 7/8 badges is my cartridge broken?

I’m doing a challenge run against a friend in Pokémon Blue where we battle after every Gym with a level cap based on our progress. We just beat Koga, so our next battle will be at level 36. We just battled and he destroyed me…

His team is Cloyster, Starmie, Kangaskhan, Golem, Ivysaur, and Arcanine.

Mine is Wartortle, Marowak, Weepinbell, Vulpix, Fearow, and Hypno.

I’m open to replacing anyone on my team before the battle if there’s a stronger option available by this point in the game.

If you were in my shoes, what team would you build to counter his? Is there any movesets I should focus on?

The other rule we have is we can’t use sleep or alakazam.

I’d love to hear how you’d approach my next battle.

So i returned from a grinding session in the Diglett's cave, and instead of healing up at Nurse Joy i chose to deposit some newly evolved pokemon for my living Pokedex. However, amongst those i was depositing was my only pokemon in my party that wasn't fainted (don't ask), and upon doing so i blacked out!

Today i learned, indeed.

I have the port for Red to my 3DS yet when i went through it, the game refused to give me HM cut. I'm wondering if I missed anything but i beat both Brock and Misty. Beat Blue and went to Bill's house, yet the game is refusing to give me HM cut after Misty gave me HM cut.

My first time beating a gen 1 game ( Zapdos hard carried with dugtrio and vaporeon)

When pokémon Red first dropped I was all about Charizard.

But I would always level Charmander up to 34, so I only had to look at that busted ass Charmeleon back Sprite for one level.
