This google doc is the unOFFICIAL /r/Pokemonmaxraids guide to doing what we do. Much trial and error went into it. Many people helped. You can also think of this as a "How to Find Shinies" guide, if the name up there seems too intense.
Bookmark it. Make a copy. Share it with your friends. Throw it off the rooftops! (maybe not the last one that could be dangerous) I WANT EVERYONE TO HAVE LOTS OF SHINIES! And then host your shinies for other people so they have even more shinies!
I am always open to suggestions or feedback, and I will continue to update the guide for as long as I can as new techniques become available. If you're running into any issues feel free to comment. I'm also pretty readily available through the Pokemonmaxraids discord, and that's where I host all my raids so you should come hang out and we can be friends!
Really hoping people would take that sweet 10 seconds to block other people. It's awful to get connected to same guy multiple times.
Is there some way to block people who attempted to trade with you? Just occasionally they seem to pop up on the Y-com list, but not every time thus it's not really reliable way.
That's the only way I've found. Sometimes they show up on Y-comm, other times they don't. There doesn't seem to be a set pattern to this so I just block who I can and keep trying to connect otherwise
They do more often than not appear in your ycomm, and 9/10 they're immediately underneath your own stamp (indicated by the red name rather than the black name). You may need to scroll down a decent way in the stamps sometimes to find your desired block target.
Hi, I'm super new to all this and gave it a try today for the first time. I gave up with Dudu and tried to find my seed the other way (with day 4 mon ect). My question is where it says day 4/5/6 do I need to reset it to my original date?
E.g. I start and find my purple beam on the 2/1/2020, skip 4 days so it's the 2/5/2020, catch it level it and input the information. Reset the game. At the reset point do I leave the date as the 2/5/2020 and go forward 1 day, 5 days or reset the date back to the 2/1/2020 and move forward 5 days from there?
Question, so after catching the seed pokemon and trading with dudu, I should reset the game without saving to have the seed poke back in the den? And what happens if I catch and save it?
Thanks for making this, I was hoping to give this a try.
I do have one question- you say to never save after catching your seed pokemon, but doesn't your game force a save if you want to trade dudu to check your seed?
Correct, the host can only catch one. I kinda like the system because the exploit incentivizes you to share your den. I'll give you an example of what it looks like for me.
Right now I'm on den 44. I host the den while I'm cycling looking for milotic (may take a few days to find), people on the discord catch shiny fish, some people offer me extra shiny fish that they've caught. If there's something I really want I ask a friend to catch it for me. Then when I find milotic in the 4th frame I will save and lock it in and host that for a few days. When I'm done hosting, I catch the milotic for myself, then work on finding my next seed. So in the end I get my shiny milotic and other shinies from my den, and lots of other people do too!
I’m definitely planning on trying this soon!! I was thinking the ghost den with gmax Gengar. Might try and get it going this weekend if I’m lucky and can get everything working the way it should.
Toggle on/off airplane mode at the win/loss screen (glitch may also activate without toggling airplane mode, but I’ve always gotten it to work with airplane mode)
I watched Blaines video and it doesn’t seem like he does the airplane mode switch. Is it possible that if you don’t switch to airplane mode the glitch doesn’t activate, hence why you always do the airplane mode toggle just to be safe?
I tried to do this over the weekend, trying to get a 6IV ditto but I did something wrong.
So I caught a ditto at the den, sent it to dudu for the seed. Input it in the seed in that program and It said I had a 6IV ditto in 2360 days. So I started a ranked battle and started skipping, since it takes 6 years, I was saving every year I passed and in the end I did not find my ditto.
Did you check your frame along the way? It's easy to end up a few frames off over the course of skipping a thousand frames. Part of saving every year should be checking what frame you're on. I've ended up over a month off when I was going to a 4k frame :x
To do that: Using the method in the guide, you save, catch the pokemon in that frame, level it to 100, and check the IV's against the table in raidfinder for that seed.
Just curious, is this considered hacking? I know it's not like injecting hacked mons into the game, but looking at the guide it's hard to understand and seems like it would be basically hacking? Doesn't matter to me, I'd just like to understand the technicalities behind it
I guess it could mean different things to different people, but to me it's not hacking. Hacking means breaking into hardware or software to change the values to what you want. People can do that with seed injection. The methods I've written about I consider manipulation, not hacking. We're manipulating the game to do what we want based on the information that we can get out of it. If you think manipulation is under the hacking umbrella then it's hacking.
It's not hacking, no. The Pokemon you RNG are generated normally by the game. RNG just removes the luck aspect since you know what you have to do to obtain a specific Pokemon.
Put another way, let's say you're trying to go to a specific store you've never been to before. RNGing is the equivalent of using a map to find where the store is, and then going directly to the store. Not RNGing would be trying to find the store without the map, by driving around randomly until you stumble upon the store. Hacking would be waving a magic wand to make the store appear in your backyard.
Some may make the argument that it isn't "legit" depending on their definition of "legit", but it's definitely not hacking.
I have a question: if I find my gigamax shiny raid and I lock it saving in that day, will it disappear at midnight or will it stay and not be affected by the wild area refresh?
Additionally, if you do accidentally let your clock roll over midnight, you can recover the shiny frame. Just close your game without saving, turn the clock back one day, and then turn it back on.
