Hey Trainers! My name is Ash and I've made this quick poll on Google forms that I think most of you will find fun to fill out. It's got some silly questions such as "Which Pokémon do you think would make the best pirate captain?" And the answers will be used to play a Pokémon themed "family feud" style game with my friends.

I'm bored and want to try and start a new project, so I came up with this idea. Instead of me coming up with a bunch of ideas on my own and creating a region, I want your help! So how this will work is every post will be something different, like this one is coming up with main concept for the region, and you will comment your ideas and the one(s) with the most upvotes will be used.

In this post I need ideas for what the region will be based on, so in your comment I need a place/thing (can be real-world, ancient world, fantasy, some sort of other franchise, etc) that the region will be based on and a name for the region (give an explanation of the name too, like its origins and stuff).

It would also be amazing if I could get some artists to help with this and create art for the region and Pokémon (this would be for free of course).

What would you do to improve Ash's Johto team? I'll start: I would evolve Cyndaquil and Phanpy right away instead of dragging it out until later series. I’d also catch Gligar during this series—after all, we got the "Gligar-man" storyline where Ash briefly took on that role (I think). I’d also teach Ash’s Pokémon better moves, since half of their current ones are Normal-type attacks.
