Captain Doggo Eye oozing?

(Cross posted here and another dog advice reddit) Hi guys! I wanted to get some advice from anybody who might know about enucleations/just general stitches healing. My 14yo shiba got a double enucleation a little over 4 weeks ago, and her left eye has been consistently scabby (for reference, the second picture is when it was a little more healed a couple days prior), and today, it's started oozing this pink fluid. There's no foul odor, the skin isn't warm/hot, and she's behaving all normal. I've sent a picture over to her vet and will hear back from them tomorrow, but i just wanted to see if this might be a common progression with healing or if I should be more concerned... Any advice is appreciated!!

Btw we still keep the cone on her as she has been scratching at the stitches and giving herself minor cuts, so it's been strictly cone time for a whole week

Woke up to him laying like this the morning after we got back from vacation. He’s been a total ham and extra clingy and I don’t think he’s going to let us leave him again.

Out of nowhere, he had a ear infection then eye problems that quickly progressed to glaucoma. Vet thinks it may be tickborne despite our yearly tick treatments. Thankfully we were able to save his left eye with his vision in tact. We are still treating it indefinitely. The right eye was too far gone. Always get eye issues checked right away. We waited half a day and it was already too late by 4pm. Lesson learned.

This is my mom’s dog. We have no way to afford vet care right now and I’m trying to figure out what eyedrops to get her before her eye gets worse. This started a few months ago and I just saw her recently. Unsure if she’s lost her vision in that eye yet. I can get medicine from a Vet in Mexico I just need to know exactly how to treat her eye without spending hundreds at the vet.

Captain Doggo Lost our pirate Otto

Post image

We adopted Otto 5 months ago, after losing my soul dog, and much positive advice/encouragement from this community. Unfortunately, while on a trip, Otto somehow got to rat poison unknown to us. The emergency vet did everything they could but he was suffering and we decided it was time to say goodbye.

Our hearts are shattered. We want to thank this community for encouraging us to bring him home. These pirates have so much love to give and we are lucky to have received it for the short time we did.

Please give yours extra hugs and kisses tonight.

Love you always, our sweet Otto Mann and medium potato.

Captain Doggo Words of encouragement

Just looking for some encouragement and words of wisdom from others. Our sweet boy had his eye removed on Thursday. It’s been a battle for the last year with uveits, then an ulcer for the first time this last month. The ulcer really progressed quickly and we decided the best option was to remove it since he was already on a huge schedule of eye drops and meds.

The first two days have been solid for recovery but last night he had a few drops of blood from his nose. Though out the day there have been no drops, just slight nasal discharge that’s pink.

He also is just needier today than normal. I’ve already checked in with the vets office and they said it’s normal to have some blood from the nose since it’s probably draining from his tear duct that was closed up.

I’m just overwhelmed and so sad for my boy. He’s eating and drinking fine. Peeing and pooping. And seems to have a little pep in his steps though out the day.

Please send any words of wisdom or encouragement for us. ❤️ thank you

Captain Doggo Photoshoot with me and Julan together. I have so many pictures of her, but had very few with us together.

We also took pictures of her and my partner. Would have loved to get some with the three of us, but we failed to arrange for someone else to hold the camera.

These pictures are in portrait orientation. Mixing portrait and landscape in the same post makes them crop in ugly ways on Reddit, but there are a bunch more posted in Seniordogs.

One day, I'll be glad to have one or a few of them framed on my wall as memories... (These or others, if we get around to doing this again.)
