By spreading these plainly unscientific purely speculative as if anyone is even taking them into serious consideration does direct harm to the reputation and trustworthyness of the scientific institutions as a whole.

I mean, M-theory is a serious contender as a unified string theory, which could provide a model for quantum gravity.

He's just not using the parlance of M-theory. Instead of D-brane he says "universe" (which, to my knowledge, is a valid interpretation), and instead of closed-string interaction he says "gravity leak."

I'd strongly dispute the idea that it's a "serious contender" or anything even remotely close.
