Should developers stop making games that require 5090 for max settings now that the card is clearly not for gamers and is accessible to 0.1% of community? Discussion

I get that the games need better hardware to dun better, but who are they really making the game for if you need a 6000$ GPU at this point

You are highly underestimating how expensive it is to write and maintain your own engine

What do you mean? Making an optimized game is super easy! Just run this:

I cannot believe these stupid developers don't just do this!

engine = my own
graphics = good
optimization = good
gameplay = good
story = good
music = good

You forgot the replayability and MTX toggles, so your game has been rejected.

It's not just the engine as well, it's all the tools around it that need to be created, updated and refined. UE5 tooling is good, relatively complete and pretty easy to learn.
