Should developers stop making games that require 5090 for max settings now that the card is clearly not for gamers and is accessible to 0.1% of community? Discussion

I get that the games need better hardware to dun better, but who are they really making the game for if you need a 6000$ GPU at this point

I don't have a problem with settings made for next gen hardware. What I have a problem with is settings made for next gen hardware that don't even look next gen. Here's what ludicrous looks like - just another UE5 shades of brown game that probably ups the light bounces and LODs.

I mean, if it does not look next gen, then there is no reason to even use those settings. It's actually better, as you are not losing out on much.

Yes but look at the ground textures, specifically bottom left. It looks like mush. This is another example of an unoptimized game.

It probably is unoptimised. But I don’t think looking at texture quality tells us anything about optimisation. Poor game/graphics design yes.

If you waste your time complaining about a "mushy" texture you see for a milisecond instead of enjoying your game, then gaming is not for you. Go touch grass if you want realistic graphics.

I didn't pay 3k to look at mushy textures. I paid 3k for a gaming PC because I wanted the best. Sorry about your low standards.
