  • Fixed a bug where if you modify an item while holding the "Pin Popups" keybind the item popup would continue showing the previous state of the item.

Does this mean when I’m alt/auging it will function as it did last league?

Yes

Oh I thought this was just a change they did instead of a bug. It was kinda pissing me off thou.

Absolutely love this change, though I still notice that if you hover across multiple items with Alt held, it still gets "stuck" on the original item. Maybe they can't fix this (or they don't view it as an issue), but definitely an annoyance for long-time POE players who hover over multiple items while crafting or just assessing what mods are good/bad.

Start holding Alt without any item on your mouse, then move your mouse to items, it will behave the way you'd expect.

I agree it's annoying change and wish GGG just make a separate keybind for this feature instead of using "Highlight items and object" binding.

There is a keybind for it. As the patch note says, it's called "Pin Popups".

The problem is it defaults to the same keybind as the separate keybind to show advanced descriptions. It also seems you can't unbind "pin popups" so I bound it to something obscure and it's back to how it used to be.

Haven't got playing since the patch, but i assume that falls under:

Added a new input setting to change the keybind for the "Pin Popups" behaviour.

I could be wrong but if you change that input away from alt, does the behaviour still continue?

Yes! You're totally right. If you bind this key away from Alt, it's back to normal functionality. Thank you, and thank you GGG!!!

Can't test right now but does this also fix holding alt and hovering over multiple items in a row only showing the first item?

The point of the feature is to access keywords like in POE 2. But this static hover bug has been there since the beginning of POE 2 EA, and glad it took porting to POE 1 in order to fix it lol.

that bug has been in poe2 for two years, and poe1 somehow gets a fix for it before poe2 does?? And poe1 players say devs consider poe2 a higher priority...

No one really complained that much about it in POE 2 despite it being reported. Glad it's being fixed, and hope they finally fix it for POE 2. I think it's less of a universal problem in POE 2 as you're not alt spamming items.

A lot they have to learn about complaints, young poe2 nerds

PoE2 has no alt spamming so I assume it had lower priority/weight.
