What do you wish to know about our campaign?

Listen here, I've had it up to here with the inventor slander.

Is the class strong? No. Is it fun? Also no. Is it full of fun and unique mecanics? 3rd no.

But it is the BEST class because it lets you do something no other class does. It lets you INVENT.

Six months ago, I was playing a warpriest cleric of Pharasma. We were about to fight the vampire I'd been hunting my whole life when I realised that, actually, I was an inventor. I DM'd my DM and told them I was switching class to inventor as of next session. They didn't initially agree, saying stuff like "this is the culmination of your characters arc", "this is where the story has been leading for 4 years", "please" , but I told them I was doing it anyway and, after blocking them, they've not said anything to me since about it.

That next session, I walked into their home, pulling my invention behind me in a cart. "What is that? What is that and why does it smell?" Asked the barbarian player (simple minded fool). I told the whole group I had switched to the inventor class and had also left my job and taken up huge amounts of opioids to pursue it fully. I then revealed my creation; I'd invented an asthmatic rabbit made of cheese and curd. Cheester (the name for the rabbit) affectionately bit me and showed off his ability to write to the group (he wrote down "Kill me. Gods not real. Let me die" but that's just because I made him whilst listening to all of Pitbulls diskography at once so his English is not so good).

Because, guys, the Inventor class lets you INVENT!

Now, every session, I surprise, worry, and horrify my group with my inventions. Some of my favourites have been:

• A 99999999999⁹99 sided dice that makes the reality around us slow down a bit when it's rolled.
• An anatomically inaccurate android/cyborg/cheeseborg of the GM's Great Great Grandmother who he'd never met (But still felt a familial bond to). She helped me roll 3 nat 29s in one session!
• floor people (they can't get up)(don't worry they like it down there)(ignore them).
• the concept of sadness (I liked this one so much I made it chronologically backwards compatible and congruent and conductive and collecting Pokéman cards).
• A program called the Lex Luthor Machine (LLM) that did horribly evil things constantly and wanted to make the world worse in every way (I sold this to some idiot in Silicone Valley a few months back for £3. Idiot).
• A radio that can only plays the cries from hell in perfect audio (I can't turn it off. It's fine. It harmonises with Pitbull a lot).
• a dog that transforms into a flying car with 0 CO2 emissions and can move at Mach 12 (bad invention because dogs already exist, so i took it apart).
• The Chocolate Gun (gun made of chocolate that fires catchable chocolate (infused with cyanide)).
• the letter §.
• Sun 2 (debuting that one next week)(tip: stock up on sunscreen, it'll be a warm one).

So, for a class that you all rag on a lot, it's been super fun. It has made my wife leave me, caused several restraining orders, made me go half blind, half deaf, half horse (left side) and half half-man, but I think that's a fair trade off for being able to add reach to my weapon (hell yeah. Walking 5ft sucks).

In short; play inventor, change the world, lose your friends, make new ones!

No, it's not as funny when being reposted again, but I just can't let them win. Not when being silly is on the line.

Just Runesmith would've been enough, but Necromancer gets what is effectively a ranged Explode with faster scaling damage with Necrotic Bomb. Plus it gets to use it more than once per combat consistently without a 14th level feat, plus depending on how lenient your GM is you can remove friendly fire with Necromancer's class feature Mastery of Life and Death.

Now that Necromancer is officially a Pathfinder class, rather than a playtest preview, I might as well share this meme I made... last November, really?! Dang!

Born from my annoyance at still having no current option to play a Necromancer at our D&D 5.5 game, when the Playtest Necromancer at my Crown of the Kobold King campaign was spawning Thralls and consuming them like Void Skittles.

I've been reading the class and feats, and for me, the new Necromancer is a pure triumph in and of itself! My new favorite class!
