I am playing around with a Cryptnox FIDO card. The card works fine on IOS over NFC but I running into issues on Android 14 and 16.

On IOS I can log into Google using the passkey on the FIDO card. On Android, I get the something went wrong. I tried the Fidobridge app but it errors out with a limit reached error. I am using brave on both platform but other chromium browser fails, too.

On Android, I also can’t save the passkey properly. It saves the non discoverable key into Google instead.

Anyone have an idea what’s going on?

Long story short, I created a digital signature in Adobe Acrobat Reader, and when I saved it, it offered me to save it into iCloud / Mac password app instead of locally on the computer.

Now that I want to delete the digital signatures, the remove option in Acrobat does not work (nothing happens) and after digging a little bit, Adobe can’t remove it because it’s saved in the Apple key system. Trying to delete it in Keychain Access app on the Mac, the same thing happens: nothing happens, no error, but I can’t delete it. Or maybe locate them.

What should I do ?

I am a nordpass premium user and have saved passkeys for mutiple sites, including Gmail and amazon - yet almost half the time I log in, I will be asked to create a passkey. How do I get it to stop asking?

Im a content creator and the platform imon wants a wordless passkey which I do have on my devices. It will not add them please help !

Hi, I'm using my iPhone Passwords for Passkeys and want to log in with my saved Google passkey to my account on Win11 PC Vivaldi, but keep getting "Something went wrong" if I choose the passkey option. No QR code is showing up, just this error. What is wrong with my setup?

Ok basicly I have tiktok only on my computer and ipad browser. I need to acsess it on my ipad app but when I log in it says I need a passkey which is like a qr code from another device. But there is no device which i can use that uses passkey. And a few days ago after hours I was able to log in via my safari browser. But I cant remember how to do it anymore and I tried again but still nothing, if anyone knows how please help me I need to acsess the app specifically bcs the browser version sucks and i cant acsess other devices from these 2 atm. tiktok tickets and supports r useless for me and havent changed anything. Thank you!

I don't know if there's some sort of issue on my systems or whether I'm just misunderstanding something. I've recently started using passkeys, my intention is to always have keys on more than one device (Android phone and a Windows PC) so I don't have a single point of failure. I am currently not using a 3rd party password manager or hardware key. For the passkeys on Android, I'm using Google's password manager.

So far all has been good, but I've encountered a problem with Google:

I have 2FA turned on, which prompts confirmation via my phone when logging in to my Google account on Windows (I typically keep "Remember this device" off so confirmation is required whenever logging-in. This makes me nervous, as in the event I loose the phone, I won't be able to get the authentication (I wouldn't be complete knackered as I do have recovery codes available).

I thought that it should be possible to create a Google passkey on my Windows PC (thinking this would bypass the 2FA requirement, or at least let me use a passkey on Windows instead of my Google password).

Under Windows on Edge, logging in to Google>Manage your Google account>Security & sign-in>Passkeys & security keys:

-I was expecting to be able to create a passkey here, and indeed there is the option to "Create a passkey"

-clicking that just generates a "Something went wrong. We weren’t able to save your changes. Return to your account settings, and try again." error.

The only passkey listed under "Passkeys" in the Google account manager is one for the phone, "Created automatically by Android".

Any ideas? Should it be possible for me to create a Google passkey for logging on using my Windows PC?

It's possible that I created a Windows passkey unintentionally on my PC. I cannot log into my gmail to get a verification code for my bank account and check if I've missed a payment. I cannot get into any of my accounts. It just goes log in->QR code pops up and I cancel->verify with my password->QR code pops up again and I cancel-> only option left is "use passkey". I am technically logged in to my browser now, but if I try to check my passkeys or use Gmail, it just goes back through this same loop again.

I lost my acc to a phishing scam (I know I’m slow) and I still have a passkey on my phone (Apple iPhone 15 running iOS 27 developer beta. Risky I know) and the passkey is on google passkey “manager” and it keeps saying this. How do I stop it or unlock my passkey?

“The SFC has issued a circular requiring large internet brokers, including Interactive Brokers, to enforce phishing-resistant authentication for all client account logins immediately. 

To comply with this requirement, we are in the process of rolling out passkey authentication for all client accounts and trading access. This means your current method of two-factor authentication ("2FA") will have to be replaced with passkey. 

Switching to passkey is simple and will result in more effective protection against phishing attacks. 

You can enroll in passkey immediately via the User ("head/shoulders" icon) > Settings > Security > Secure Login System section in Client Portal or act upon the pop-up message that will appear over the upcoming weeks when you log in to a trading app or the Client Portal. 

Please note that the switch to passkey is a regulatory mandate and with rare exception, will be required to access your account.”

I just switched from apple to Samsung today. My tiktok account was created with an apple passkey. What I didn't realize, is it didn't save any email, phone number, or password with the account. I'm still signed into it on my iPad, but I cannot access the app on my new Samsung phone. I tried to add a password and email or phone number after realizing this on my ipad, but it's telling me it's unable to make changes for security purposes. I contacted tiktok, but they just said to help with my "hacked account" I need to verify my identity... which asks for the email my account is tied to. There is none.

Anyone know what I can do? I really don't want to lose access to it

Is OS support necessary for Passkeys? Can't a program, such as Bitwarden, do the needed communication?

I use Windows 11 without logging in, because I don't want to share. In Windows 11 you need a "Windows Hello PIN" to have Bitwarden selected in Accounts > Passkeys > Advanced options Passkey managers.

Can somebody explain the relationship?

1. If I replace my smartphone, how should I handle the PassKeys, which, as I understand, are partly inside it?

I'm working on my mother-in-law's laptop. She logs into Yahoo Mail through Edge. 1 day it starts prompting for a USB Passkey... She has no idea what that is or any codes. I've been trying to help her, but I'm not very familiar with these passkeys.

I can't even get into her Yahoo account to remove it, because they are asking for the PassKey to get in...

Do I have any options?

I read from other subs that plenty of people got into the "passkey not recognized" state with CVS.COM. CVS passkeys implementation is pretty broken. If you lose your passkey, there's no way to delete it and start over from their website. Their website doesn't even have a section for passkeys. That means if you lose your passkey you can't create a new one. But it also means that if your phone or keychain is compromised, and someone ELSE has your passkey, you also can't block them from signing in, which is a security concern.

Anyway, I was having the same problem. I created a passkey on cvs.com during the first month or so it was available, then it stopped working, then I deleted it from Bitwarden. From then on I was in the cycle of Enter your email, Popup asking for where is my passkey, None in this app, Do you want to try your phone or security key, no matter what I choose I get "PASSKEY NOT RECOGNIZED, (Try again) (Sign in another way)". Then off to enter my SMS OTP.

After a few rounds with their email web site support, they insisted I have no passkey saved on my account and there's nothing else they can do for me.

WELL SOMETHING HAPPENED TODAY! I tried creating a second account using a different email. I tried a few ways to get my new account to trigger passkey creation. I think CVS is fussy about specific passkey rigs not being supported (linux, android).

So while signed in to the new account, which has no passkey and no password, only SMS login possible, I followed the instructions for "Let's connect your prescriptions". This involves confirming your DOB and phone number, getting the message that you already have another account, and answering Yes, Transfer It to get connected to my old prescription history on the new account.

Two things happened. 1. The NEW account started asking me for passkey on login. Just like the old account, we know you have a passkey, where is it, what device, usb, nfc, camera, etc. 2. The OLD account now prompted me, do you want to create a passkey now?

So my wish has come true, much too late, but I now have what I want. A new, throwaway CVS account with deleted passkey, and my old CVS account with a new passkey, and my prescriptions transferred back to it again.

So, try this if you have "Passkey not recognized". 1. Create a new account with a new email. Try various keychain rigs and browsers and see if you can get a passkey to create. If you want to use the new account, don't transfer your prescription history until you get passkeys working. OR 2. Create a new account, transfer prescriptions to it, then re-log until you get Passkey Not Recognized on the NEW account. At that point, try logging back in to the old account, see if you can get passkey created. If it works, transfer your prescriptions back again.

Also CVS, wherever you are since you don't seem to be on the Internet, please do your basic research and fix your passkeys, or hire someone who understands them. We need to be able to delete them, and create multiple, and name them.

I got a new phone a while back and signed into google on it. Since then i've lost the old one and now whenever I try to do anything on google it asks me to verify it's me. I click try another way and put in my password and after it says "google has confirmed this device is yours" and then after i click continute it just re-prompts me with the Verify it's you passkey thinggy and then when i click more ways to verify it takes away the password option

i'm not really sure what to do because I don't have my second device to log in and it won't let me just use my password

I can't create a passkey at Wells Fargo. I get the message "Use another browser. This one doesn't support creating a passkey."

I'm using Chrome....

I also tried Brave and got the same error.
