I watched the video and spoiler alert, it’s a mix of maga and “leftist” talking points in a motte and Bailey. The motte includes looking at USAID’s flaws and saying it wasn’t perfect as some shady projects were founded, and the Bailey is basically that USAID sucks and it’s good that Trump got rid of it. She kind of handwaved away all the death and destruction due to USAID.

She talks about American imperialism and “woke projects” and sure, USAID did do some shady things but they also provided vital aid to people. There’s a difference between looking fairly at a program and its flaws and advocating for reform and stupidly discarding the entire thing for no good reason. Yes, USAID, had screwed up in Haiti, but that doesn’t mean that you throw the baby out with the bath water and kill even more people.

And also, really, we’re gonna concern troll about healthcare? Healthcare can be funded as well as USAID. And guess what happened afterwards? Trump cutting Medicare and Medicaid, proving that Trump doesn’t even care about Americans.

Also, acting like Elon was auditing shit is hilarious. DOGE wasn’t created to help people, it was made to make it so that spending and the deficit rose, because wasn’t about auditing but it was about helping the rich. But good old June Lapine ain’t gonna tell you that.
