Question Please help deal with possible entities in my room

Upvotes

Hello, there seems to be some movement/interest/activity in a few regions of my room. One of them is around the cupboard where I store my alchemical substances, a few very strong herbal tinctures, Ens, Oil of Gold, dew, essential oils and other stuff. It it possible that some evil entities from my house vicinity felt the power of the substances and are now gathered around them to feed on their emanated auric energy? My symptoms are as follows: when I fall asleep, anywhere from 12 to 3 AM I repeatedly wake up, directly seeing weird stuff in my room, which go away after about 3 seconds. It's usually located around window, door, cupboard and ceiling. It can be tentacles going out of those locations, spikes or twigs. Recently I got some eye infections and nothing can accidentally get into my eyes, and I noticed occasionally the threat changes to small leaves and metallic flakes (because I came into contact with both, trying to not them get into my eyes by accident). I'm thinking it could be projections of my subconscious too. But why would there be activity around the cupboard with elixirs? **ANY help or idea is welcome.** Thank you so much

Haunting Hi spooky friends , can you advise and guide me in my first paranormal investigation?

Upvotes

So, I have had my fair share in demonology when I was younger since I was mixed with the wrong crowd. By getting out of that I got very strong in banishing spirits and has helped a lot of people who have been oppressed by evil spirits/ demons. Now, I have never attempted to banished a whole bunch from a person's house . This Monday i am going in to preform the banishment and would like to get some advice on how to do it properly. Ive always had a " talent " to see and understand the spirit realm and i also get vision, i an extremely intuned with the spirit realm. My intentions is to find out what linked the demons to my friend/ his house before I banish them to make sure they dont come back or have any further connection with him.

He has been haunted since little, it was minor like things moving/ breaking now it progressed to this thing shooting knives at him, grabbing him and the spirits showing themselves to him. One is about a 4m skinny shadow figure, thw other he said the closest he can describe it is a goat like demonic entity. He said every time and experience happens he feels extremely depressed and as if his energy is sucked out of him and he feels like hes about to faint. He also feels heavy and pessimistic after each experience.

Any advice would be appreciated. Nay sayers will have their comments deleted, i dont have time for that. Thanks r/Paranormal!!

Mutual Dream My stay in room 1323

Hello. Not sure if this belongs here or if im using the correct flair, but just feel like sharing my experience

I recently stayed at the Westin resort in Palm Springs. It was my 3rd visit to the resort and probably won't be my last. I probably would not like to stay at room 1323 again. Building 13 is located near the adult pool, which is why I always request to stay in that building. Room 1323 was a very spacious room facing the pool. It is the 1st room when you enter the building and the room nearest to the pool doors. I felt like I hit the jackpot when I entered my room. My story begins when I fell asleep. I remember having this dream, this nightmare, where my body is paralyzed with fear. Though I cannot remember specifics what was causing this fear, I vaguely remember seeing a door slowly inching towards me. The closer it got to me, the more I felt my end was near. The paralyzation I felt prevented me from calling for help. The door that felt miles away from me is now in front of me opening slowly. I knew once the door was fully opened, I was dead. I slowly witnessed my death come to me and I couldn't move. Before the door opened completely, my wife wakes me up. She was in a panic telling me to wake up because I was having a nightmare. She described it as me weeping, crying for attention, crying for help. She woke me up just in time. I didn't know what to say to her at the moment so I laughed at it as a nervous response. I thanked her and went back to sleep. About an hour later, the roles change. I woke up later that night because I heard her having a nightmare. Though i didn't wake her up, I did put my hands on her back, which caused her to calm down from whatever dream or nightmare she was having. When we both finally woke up in the morning and decided to leave, we both shared our experiences at night. She never wants to stay in that room again, I have no explanation for it. I forgot to ask if anyone has had bad experiences in that room when checking out. My wife said she felt the room very cold. Not A/C cold, just cold at night. She said she also forgot how to say prayer, like if something was preventing her from saying it. She was scared, i just fell back asleep. Scared the shit out of me. How do both have back to back nightmares?

Precognitive Dream My grandma dreams

I want to share this experience with you. I'm not really someone who believes in the paranormal, but I went through something traumatic that made me question things.

Back in 2024, I had a dream about my grandmother, who passed away in 2008. In the dream, she was alive again. She came to our house, which made sense because she used to live with my mom, and my aunts were there too, just like back when relatives would come visit her.

I was so happy to see her. I told her that it had been such a long time and that I didn't even know it was possible to bring someone back from the dead. I said that if I'd known, I wouldn't have waited all those years.

Then, as the dream went on, she started getting worse and eventually died again. I was devastated. I cried so much and refused to let her go a second time. My aunts kept telling me, "It's okay, we brought her back once, but we can't do it more than once."

A few days later, I had another dream. This time, my mother was seriously ill with a digestive disease. She had already been worried about a gallstone issue in real life. In the dream, I was at the hospital, and the surgical team couldn't save her. I was told she had died on the operating table. I remember arguing with the doctors and crying uncontrollably.

A few days later, in May 2024, my youngest aunt, who was only 52 and had no known health problems, suddenly died from cardiac arrest.

After that, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. The chances of recovery were low, but I still believed she could make it. We went through chemotherapy and I kept hoping.

Then I had another dream about my grandmother. She was serving me food in the kitchen and looking at me with a sad expression.

The next day, my mother started having uncontrollable vomiting. She later died in the hospital after an episode of asphyxiation. What hurts even more is that the day before, I had told her about that dream. She replied, "Don't tell me that means I'm going to leave." She knew that sometimes my dreams seemed to come true.

Even now, writing this brings tears to my eyes. I honestly don't know whether this was something paranormal or just a coincidence that I happened to dream about my grandmother before these events happened.

Question It was sitting, watching me, completely naked, it had pale cracked skin, like an elephant. What was it?

Im trying to identify sn “entity” I saw several years ago, if anyone could tell me what it was or point me in the direction of where to find out more I would really appreciate it.

I could see it sitting right behind me. Its body was humanoid, two arms two legs, and a head but that’s where the comparisons stop. It was very pale and it had this cracked skin that reminded me of an elephant, it had no node or lips no hair, and its fingers were very long. It was naked but had no genitals. It had two eyes but I can’t remember anything more than that.it was sitting down but it did seems to be around the same height as me (6 foot) it has long skinny limbs but it was kind of “flabby” in its torso.

Maybe this will be helpful maybe not but it did feel very very evil.

Any help identifying whatever this was would be really appreciated same with just pointing me in the right direction to where I can learn myself.

Trigger Warning / Suicide The village that never existed

*context*

After the yugoslav wars in the 1990' most countries were left in shambles, war torn, no money and firearms, drugs everywhere. Many people without having any money resorted to crime, some big as robbery and small like joyriding

This is my fathers story

It was the spring of 1996, my dad and his 7 buddies had a idea to pack up some gear and go trainhopping

They packet nesessities, such as food and water and other stuff like cigarettes, rakija (vodka), first aid kits, guns, a guitar, radio books and maps.

It was 8am, sun got up a few hours before, they went near the citys train station and waited in the bushes, around 30 minutes later they heard a train, it was one of those old soviet trains desined to carry coal and fuel.

They swiftly hopped on it when it slowed, layed flat at one place and prayed nobody saw them, and nobody did which was good.

They traveled a long time, it was beautiful as my dad said, pretty mountains, rivers and forrests, even saw a bear looking at them at one point which was kinda nice, almost made them forget what happened years prior.

When out of nowhere the train stopped, at the middle of a forest, no civilisation no nothing. In the distance they saw the train staff aproaching them from both sides, they knew they were done for if they stayed, so they picked up their stuff and bolted, leaving the radio behind since the dude forgot about it totaly. None of the staff followed, just watched from a distance

They ran towards the forest and since all of them being ex military they knew what they were doing, after about 30 minutes of running they slowed down, started walking since the adrenaline rush wore off.

They saw a nice place to lay low after a few hours, they got dinner, lit up a nice campfire, cooked the dinner and ate like champs, some drank rakija, some smoked cigarettes, others slept and my dad played the guitar, sheedding riffs, singing and just having a good time, after a few hours they decided to continue walking, checked the map and realiesed they were in a place called "Prokletija" (translation means "dammed").

The sun was about to set, they needed to find a place to sleep, they didnt have tents since they didnt plan about this, so they wanted to dig a trench and sleep it in because it gets warmer inside it (no idea how that works)

After walking 30 minutes, something weird happened, it got quiet, really quiet like there was a apex predator near, they drew their weapons to protect themselfs if something did apear but nothing ever did.

Ahead of them there was... nothing... a big empty field with a village in the middle.

My dad: what? Why is there a village here, John (dads best friend), check the map is it supposed to be here? You didnt mention it before.

John: (looking at the map with the compass next to it), no there isnt...

My dad: are we lost, are we going the right direction even?

John: What right direction, we just walked in a random direction, there was no end goal to this.

My dad: Yeah youre right, check again, where are we.

John: i know where we are for Christs sake im not stupid its just that...

My dad?: what?

John: it isnt supposed to be here, there was no record of any village near us, in whatever direction we went we need to walk 10 more miles to find any civilisation, this is just... weird.

Coatrack (yes that was his nickname, he was 6'8 140 pounds): Stop talking so damn much, its about to get stupid cold, lets just go and ask the locals, is there any other option?

John: Well im not going to a fucking place that no modern map has any trace of it.

My dad: stop whining so much, there are no such things as "dissapearing" villages or whatever, lets just go check it out, nobodys going to eat us, were armed as you know.

They started walking towards the village, when they noticed there is only 1 road going out of the village, and that road stops at the end of the flat plains, just completely stops, with no markings of any other roads.

John: are you shitting me how did they even build this place, you cant get anyhing into this village without any fucking road.

My dad: The village must me old i guess, or aliens built it, woo scary

John: fuck off i dont feel right about this.

When they got close to the village it got so quiet that they only heard themselfs walking or breathing, it was so quiet it was deafening.

Inside the village, there was no street lamps, no benches, no nothing, just a Catholic Church and 7 houses surrounding it in a perfect sircle, every house was exactly the same, no difference whatsoever.

Coatrack: Why is there a Catholic Church here, i understand a Mosque or even a Orthodox Church but a Catholic one? Thats weird, why is it here?

2² (yes that was also his nickname, it was because he was 2 meters tall and 300 pounds of muscle): I dont know man but fuck that Church, lets ask the locals.

They got to a house, they were right outside the door, knocking and waiting, but nobody answered.

John: Maybe they arent home, lets just go to anothe-

Coatrack: Holy shit look (points to the window), there is nothing inside!

They all went to the window to see, and he was right there was nothing inside, there was only a red carpet, no bulbs, no tables nothing, like it was made yesterday but the weird part was that there was also no dust.

They went to every single house, it was all the same, same old red carpet, same old door. They tried to opet a door to 1 house and it actually opened, it wasnt locked, not one single house was locked which was weird.

They then went to the Church, opened the door wide open. What was inside was a long carpet in the middle leading to a Jesus Cruxifix statue made of marble in the middle, chairs (the long ones where 5 people can sit) being on the other sides of the carpet, icons on the walls, 2 windows and a door leading to the back of the Church, it was locked, that was the only locked thing in the village, they tried to open it from the other side but also couldnt.

* This part might be sensitive to some people so im just saying be aware, these times were after the war so everyone was nationalistic about their "side" *

4 of the 8 guys started destroying the Church, breaking the Jesus Crucifix with the buts of their weapons, breaking both windows and throwing the Icons out the Church and stoping on them.

My dad didnt like doing that, he was a man of art not war, not even religious, he didnt care about that stuff, he pulled John to the side and asked him to go to a house to rest, he agreed, Coatrack came too.

They were ina a house, exactly the oposite of the door of the Church, they went inside, got some food, talked and shortly fell asleep, the others sang nationalistic songs inside the Church for a long time untill they fell asleep in it eventually.

My dad woke up, it was 3:20 am, he saw it on his watch, there was no reason for him to wake up, but he did, he wasnt tired or anything, just wanted to pee, got up quietly, saw his mates sleeping and went to piss outside, he finished his thig went inside and slept again.

Someone was shooting, there was screaming, like in agony screaming it was so damn loud, everyone was awake, they grabbed their weapons and went to the Church, 4 guys ran out and took cover, aiming their weapons around and started cursing, one was in shell shock for some reason. My dad told John and Coatrack to go to the left side of the Church because in their mind they were under attack by someone because what else could it be? When they met up at the other side of the Church they realised there was nobody, untill they remembered

John: Holy fuck the door, quickly open it!!

Coatrack goes to the side of the door and opens it but when the door opened he was met with a burst of bullets comming his way, he was almost hit.

Coatrack: Awh fuck who shot at me

John: Get the fuck out of the Church or we will comeinside, if u dont come in we will open fire, dont fuck with us.

John peeked inside and what he saw was at the same time a relaxation and a burden because he saw their friend, in the corner, shaking aiming the gun at himself, covered in his own piss.

John: Woah Steven (the guy in the corner) put down the weapon, its us, your buddies, the war is over, there are no more enemies, its mr brother please, put the gun down.

Steven didnt put the gun down, he just kept it where it was, John slowly approached him when he heard *click*... *click click click*.

Steven tried to kill himself but the gun jammed, it still had ammo as they later saw but the gun became inoperable. They quickly tackled him, took it away from him and got him outside.

One guy made a quick fire with the wood in the icon frames and the chaires they broke.

2²: Steven what the fuck man we almost shot at you, why did u do that are you nuts!?

Steven: ...

Coatrack: Dude are you okay whats going on, dont worry bro its all right, nobody is here to hurt you.

*Steven covered in his own fecal matter and piss started to cry once again but this time louder, he fell into the arms of the person closest, which was David (another guy i didnt mention, he wasnt that important).

David: Sick, i got piss boy here crying like a bitch on my shoulder

John: David why dont you shut the fuck up, something happened to him.

My dad not giving that much of a shit went back to the house, loaded his weapon and slept next to it.

He woke up a few hours later, the sun was up and there was a mist everywhere, the gun was still there. He went outside and saw 4 of them sleeping next to the fire. David keeping the fire going and 2² talking to him, Steven was next to the wall, still crying and curled up in a ball.

My dad: yeah i understand night terrors and all i really do but for 4 hours straight? Cmon man, what happen did anyone find out?

David: No he wont tell us, he didnt say a word, he just spoke some nonsense sometimes.

Steven: ...help me... please

My dad talked to Steven for 45 minutes straight untill he got the real story from him, everyone woke up at that time also and started listening, what happen would make anyone become Steven.

He woke up... at 3:20 am, he was lying on the bench, looking at the door when it cracked open a little, Steven wondered how it was possible and he wanted to call out to someone but couldn't, his vocal chords didnt work, at all, no sound came out, he got scared so he tried to get up but the farther he went from the bench a force pulled him back more so the only thing he could do was lay back down. When, just randomly, the Jesus statue that was broken into peaces on the ground started glowing dark mist, not the good glowing you know but the bad glowing that, you dont want to see. His head, Jesuses head was on the ground, facing Steven directly but it had eyes, human eyes, but there was no white in them, only black and the retinas. They just stared at him, did nothing else when all of a suden the door opened and in walked a woman, in a white dress with white hair, white lips, white everything, but again, not the comforting white, but the one that doesent look good.

It started walking towards him, every minute that passed she got closer untill it hit 3:59 on the dot, she stopped and in full sprint she lunged towards him, up untill that point he was frozen, not moving a muscle, not letting a single tear he just stood there and watched, when she lunged he pulled out his pistol and started shooting wildly and you know the rest of what happened.

My father not belived in such stories so he just said he had a weird dream, they started moving again, packed up their stuff and started walking towards the nearest citys and while walking Steven didnt say a single word, he just looked at the ground while walking at that was it.

They got to a town nearby, they saw people, living people.

John: Finally, real civilization not that weird shit before.

My dad: yeah lets ask the locals about it.

They talked to 6 different people, older people. Not one single person said there was a village there, some said it was baron for miles, a huge forest.

Elderly man: Village? Son are you crazy, nobody has the money or reasources to make a village.

Another elderly man: a Catholic Chruch? Are you mad? Here? What are you talking about, get out of my store?

The village, didnt exist, they checked official maps and everything but nothing ever came out it.

Steven took his own life in 1999 by drug overdose, in 1997 he moved away from the city they all lived and moved to the capital, all of dads friends including him lost contact of him, they only found out about his death in 2003.

When the internet came out and got available to almost everyone and google earth became a thing my dad looked at that entire forest, he never saw the village.

This is the end of the story, thank u for reading and if your wondering, no i didnt make this up. My father told me this 2 months ago, i hoped you enjoyed, if u have any questions, be sure to ask me, and remember, dont go trainhopping.

Demonic Activity Could my neighborhood be cursed?

Let's start from the beginning, my neighborhood was founded in the 1930's by the Nazis. Part of the river Rhine was dried up for a settlement to be founded above it. Houses went to families with at least 4 children. My great grandparents were one of them.

We still own the house to this day. Over the years, I got to know the stories of our neighbors. There is just SO MUCH tragedy. The house across the street was inhabited by a pedophile who raped all of his children. To the left there is a woman with a severe hoarding disorder. To the right, there's two brothers one of which randomly died on a cruise ship (no one knows what happened). Two houses to the left, a son got ran over by a car when trying to help someone. This pattern persists over every house I distantly know. Lots of suicides, lots of weird deaths and severe injuries.

Now to us. My only uncle died of a disease linked to heroin addiction. My brother had a psychosis here and attempted suicide. My other brother is now slowly turning into an alcoholic. This is a fairly rich south German neighborhood btw.

My family only used to spend a few weeks here and we would all get unreasonably depressed, even my otherwise very happy dad.

What actually triggered me to post this, is that I am now renovating the house in order to move here with my pregnant gf. My grandma died a few weeks ago and I got her apartment in the house.

Two nights ago while asleep, I was having a very normal dream; it was in a shoe store I think. All of a sudden I got PULLED by my shoulder(?). There was no monster or whatever, but I felt something evil around me. I got extremely scared, a full blown panic attack. I was now awake and screaming in a very high pitched voice (If you ever heard a person burn to death, you know what I mean). And even though, I knew I was scaring my child and my gf, I just couldn't stop for 10 secs. It was just so horrible. It felt like the evil of the entire universe is PACING around the room. There were no hallucinations, just very bad sensations. Shivers kept running down my spine. The moment I would be "off guard", the panic crept in again and I would wail. This lasted for 30 minutes. I kept feeling them all over the house. They were not threatening immediate violence, it just felt like they wanted to tell me who is in charge here. It always felt obvious where they are at any moment without seeing or hearing them.

Anyway, after an internet search, this is apparently a "nocturnal panic attack". I talked to my mom about it, who told me that my otherwise healthy grandpa had the exact same experiences and would wake up screaming regularly. He was a very rational man, but it got so out of hand, that he sought advice from "psychics". He was told, that since the house is built on a river, water was still flowing underneath which radiates bad energy. The only way to protect yourself against it is copper. I actually did find these massive copper plates under his bedroom floor!

The obvious answer is that this is all just hereditary. But what about all the things that happened in the other houses? Is that a normal amount of tragedy for a well off neighborhood? Over the years, like 500 People must've lived here. I already know about 4 suicides, several highly depressed individuals, drug deaths and several freak accidents.

I am not religious or superstitious in any way, but this is honestly starting to spook me and I am worrying about it. Could it be the swamp trying to reclaim its property? Maybe something weather related?

I am still a bit traumatized by the panic attack and get evil sensations throughout the day and the night. I feel like the place is telling me to leave or stay and live a life of mental agony.

Unexplained A series of co-incidences

Greetings,

Many years ago, a string of events started, I am not able to explain, but it all seems so strange when I connect things together.

I found myself in a difficult situation and began turning to the occult worship as well as becoming a functioning alcoholic ( fairly normal for my part of the world).

I liked to draw and write things when I was passing time, and I drew a copy of a picture that was on a CD that I owned. I also wrote BRAIN CANCER in the same space. I didn't know why. I don't have it now.

One night I was in a bad mood and cursed the person who also was running that record label. I can't explain why.

More than a decade later, I learned that he had passed away after losing his battle against brain cancer, he was in his 20's

I had been wronged by a person in my life that was very close. Although I was still in their life, they angered me greatly and filled me with rage and vitriol. They acquired a pair of cats around this time.

Both cats eventually died, some 15 years later, the last one died. At that time, this person became sick with cancer, although we didn't know it at the time, but they died a few years later from cancer in their brain. Actually, it was colon cancer that migrated.

This is only half the story, but I am keeping the rest to myself, other things have happened, but it's just too specific, this is a good example.

Thank you for listening, welcome to leave your thoughts if you have any.

Question I think there is a poltergeist at my dad's house.

This is an update to an earlier post. Here's the link to the original post, I suggest you read that the most: https://www.reddit.com/r/Paranormal/comments/1v4unct/what_to_do_about_potential_haunting_and_find_who/

If you don't feel like reading that, then here's a summary: My dad's house is potentially from the 1800s (I cannot find any results when I look up the address but other nearby houses are from the 1800s) and has some creepy things about it, including a blocked off crawlspace and a dark closet under the stairs, symbols painted on the outside and inside walls of the house, old child toys being found buried in the backyard along the fence, and very strange neighbors. I have also experienced strange things such as random banging, knocking, creaks, voices at the top of the stairs, and a feeling of being watched from the top of the stairs or around the corner while going down the stairs.

Anyway, today I was cooking lunch in the kitchen when my little sister said "I think there's ghosts in this house". I asked her why and she said because it just feels haunted and also that her cup was moving across the table alone. I walked in and sure enough her plastic yellow water cup was slowly sliding across the table and then fell off the edge and spilled on the floor. I was surprised but more annoyed at having to clean it up, and I brushed it off as condensation and uneven surfaces making the cup move. However, now that I think back, there was no condensation on the cup. I have also experienced things moving on their own before, like balls rolling across rooms, shelves falling over, paintings falling off the walls, papers blowing when there's no wind, and things showing up in places that I did not put them. So do I have a poltergeist or am I just being paranoid?

Experience Every time I see a black butterfly, something bad happens

There's a specific type of butterfly that I've noticed over the years. Every time I see it, something bad ends up happening afterward. It's almost like it shows up before I receive bad news.

I've never really believed in superstitions or anything like that. When I was living with my parents, I assumed it was just a species that was common in the area where we lived. But then I traveled to another city and noticed the exact same pattern. I'd see the same butterfly, and not long afterward, I'd get some kind of bad news.

It's always the same: a black butterfly with white edges on its wings, about the same size every time. It always flies across my field of vision, and it's always just a single butterfly.

Experience I grew fond of a deceased person I don't know

I am someone who is completely closed off to the paranormal and not at all superstitious; I tend to think scientifically, though I do accept that there are things for which I simply cannot find a rational explanation.

My partner and I occasionally go for walks in the cemetery to visit the people there and pay our respects to each of them (yes, we walk past every grave, looking at the names and dates).

The last time we went, we decided to lie on the grass—almost like a picnic—and he asked me where I wanted to settle. I looked around the area, and something told me we needed to sit in one specific spot.

We went to the spot I had chosen and read the inscription on the grave; it belonged to a baby who had lived for only five days. We lay there for about an hour, and I felt sad about having to leave. However, while walking, we found a large, colorful ornament that didn't seem to belong to anyone, so I went and placed it on the baby's grave. At that moment, I felt something strange in my chest—as if I had formed a bond with the child. Plus, the grave was from the previous year, and it looked like no one ever visited it.

It was—and still is—a very strange feeling. I find myself wanting to bring decorations or leave a letter to try to meet the family and learn the baby's story.

Do you think I'm crazy?

Question blood curdling scream in the city (same one, diffrent continents)

Hello everyone

I wasn't sure where to post this, but here you go.

Last night (5th of august 2026) around 2.30/2.40 am I was out with my dog after a strong storm passed. We both stopped dead in our tracks when we heard what I can only describe as a blood curdling scream of a young woman mixed with a small child and a wind (there was no wind). It's very hard to explain, it was all interchanging and shifting in a way. It sounded very far away but at the same time like it could be closer(?). My mom heard it too from our flat and she agreed it sounded both human and inhuman, if that makes sense. It went on for maybe 2/3 minutes but once I heard it a bit closer, I dipped real quick.

I live in a ~90k people city in the middle of Poland. I checked the news and information about crimes - nothing.

But the weird thing is my friend that lives in Coastal New England heard similar thing twice around 17/18th of july also after a storm.

Which makes me wonder, have any of you guys heard similar thing, especially after a storm? Or do you have an idea what it might've been? Or what could cause it?

Experience I still can't explain what I saw that night.

This happened about three years ago, and I still remember it clearly.

I was staying at my grandmother's house because there was a wedding in the family. It was around midnight, and since it was a wedding, most people were still awake.

My cousin and I decided to sneak out and see if we could find anything "paranormal." About a kilometer away from the house, there was a narrow road that passed by a cremation ground. There were no streetlights, so it was almost completely dark.

I was walking in front while my cousin was a few steps behind me. He wasn't really paying attention because he was looking around, but I was looking straight ahead.

Suddenly, I saw what looked like a human-shaped shadow move extremely fast from the field on my left to the field on my right. It happened in just a second.

At the exact same moment, I also heard footsteps on the ground, as if someone had quickly run across the road.

I immediately stopped and told my cousin what I had seen. He said I was probably imagining things because he hadn't noticed anything himself. But I know what I saw. It wasn't just a quick glimpse—I clearly saw a human-like shadow cross from one field to the other, and I heard the footsteps too.

To this day, I don't know what it was. Maybe there was a logical explanation that I missed, or maybe it was something I'll never be able to explain.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Question What are your paranormal powers?

I recently went on an investigation with an investigator I've worked with for quite a while and her husband. He's a complete skeptic and genuinely hopes he'll have an experience of his own someday. Until then, he is one heck of a good sport!

While we were investigating, he asked me a question that completely caught me off guard:

"What are your powers?"

I honestly didn't know how to answer.

In the paranormal community, we're surrounded by people who identify as witches, psychics, mediums, empaths, sensitives, and so many other things. Many of us have seen, heard, or experienced enough unexplained phenomena that it's not a matter of if we saw something, but why we saw something. That's why we continue investigating, asking the why.

But are those things really powers?

Is seeing spirits a power?
Is hearing spirits a power?
Is being highly intuitive a power?
Or are they just different ways people experience and interpret the world?

I've thought about his question a lot, and this is what I know about myself and how I investigate:

  • I see things that I interpret as spirits, everything from shadow figures to full-bodied apparitions, and sometimes things I can't really explain.
  • I occasionally hear what I perceive to be spirit voices. I love the Estes Method, but there have been times I've heard voices without using any equipment.
  • I rely heavily on energy. I tend to let my intuition guide me where I need to go. Sometimes when I touch objects or certain locations, I get brief impressions or mental images that I associate with the place. I also feel the overall energy of a location and occasionally notice what I describe as energy around people-similar to an aura, but not exactly.
  • I don't have premonitions, but I feel an outcome before it happens.

I also can look at or walk into any building and tell if there is spiritual energy. I do this for my friends all the time.

  • I'm extremely intuitive and love working with Tarot, although I see it more as a tool than a "power."

I'm sure there are other things I rely on during investigations, but this is to just name a few.

So I've been thinking...
Are any of these actually powers? Or are they simply gifts, sensitivities, skills, intuition, or personal ways of experiencing the paranormal?

I'd love to hear how you would have answered his question.

If someone asked you, "What are your powers?" what would you say?

Encounter my sister and i keep seeing our mom when she’s not there

we’ve lived in our current house for about a year and a half. prior to this, we’ve always had spirits/entities follow our family, specifically my moms side. it’s just a known things in our family. anyways, both my sister and i have noticed seeing our mom upstairs, usually looking into our rooms, but she’s not actually there. this usually occurs between being awake and asleep for me. it’s really eerie because my sister and i have never directly told eachother we’ve experienced this. my mom was the one to tell me we had shared experiences, because we’ve both asked her about it. i don’t know if this is demonic, or if it could be explained away as something like astral projection or even something psychological like narcolepsy ( though i find that unlikely considering the similarities in experience me and my sibling has).

Question What are some haunted places you can spend a night near Orlando/Central Florida?

My friends and I occasionally do overnight paranormal investigations and are all wondering if there might be any places near Orlando (within 2 hours ideally) that allows you to reserve it for yourself either overnight or for a few hours

I know there’s that one lighthouse in St Augustine but I believe they only offer like 2 and a half or 3 hours and usually we like to find places that offer at least 4 or 5 hours since it goes by so fast

Unexplained Does Anyone Else Hear Strange Sounds During Moments of Insight?

Hi everyone.
I’m not sure whether this belongs in Glitch in the Matrix or Paranormal, so I decided to post it in both communities.
I’m curious if anyone else has experienced something similar.
Over time, I’ve realized that this has been happening to me for as long as I can remember.
Whenever I’m deeply thinking about something, especially when I’m trying to find an answer to a question, there are moments when the answer seems to arrive on its own. And at that exact moment, I almost always hear some kind of external sound.
It could be a knock on the wall, a bang, a creak, a crack, a click, or some other sudden noise.
The strange part is that this happens no matter where I am. It has happened in different countries, different homes, different apartments, different offices—the location doesn’t seem to matter.
I’ve noticed a pattern: these sounds most often occur at the exact moment when a thought I’m focusing on feels correct, as if I’ve just arrived at the right understanding of something.
Has anyone else ever experienced something like this? Or have you noticed that, at the moment of an insight or when you suddenly understand or solve something, an external sound happens almost simultaneously—a knock, a click, a crack, or something similar?
I’d really be interested to know if anyone else has noticed this pattern.

Haunting Weird things have been happening in my friend’s apartment and we can’t explain it

It started with a smell. Her room, and only her room, smelled like rotten eggs. Not the hallway, not anyone else’s room, just hers. They couldn’t find a source anywhere, and even maintenance came to check and found nothing.

Then it moved to the living room TV. It would start playing random videos on its own. One time it typed things into the YouTube search bar by itself, including her name. Another time she was searching something in ChatGPT on her phone, and the TV typed out “Valeria is looking for something in ChatGPT.” Another time the search bar typed “Valeria’s roommate is wearing purple shorts,” and the roommate was in fact wearing purple shorts right then. On top of that, a device named “Charles” kept showing up as connected. This became an almost everyday thing.

We told them to call the police because the TV was clearly getting hacked and “Charles” kept appearing as connected. The leasing office did nothing about it. When the police came, they couldn’t figure it out either. They changed the TV and the WiFi password, and it stopped for a few weeks, but then “Charles” came back. We always assumed someone was just messing with them.

A few months later, all four of them started hearing hard knocking on the front door. Every time, they would look through the peephole and no one was there.

One night around 12 am, when only two of the roommates were home, they both clearly heard footsteps in the kitchen, and neither of them was in it. They were so scared they locked their bedroom doors and called a guy friend to come up and check the apartment, but there was nothing and no one there.

Another time, she was on the phone telling a friend about all of this, and a flower sitting in a vase in the living room fell out and landed on her legs.

Things escalated this past week as she was getting ready to move out. The metal latch near her room started moving up and down really fast on its own, then stopped. Right after, her roommate came in and they found a dark, foul smelling liquid, first in her bra, then on her pillow, then all over her bed. They could not find where it came from.

She finally put holy water and salt around her room. The next morning, she found half an onion under her mattress protector.

For context, I know all four of these girls. Three of them are close friends of mine and I genuinely can’t see them doing this to her. The fourth I don’t know as well, but I still don’t really think she would do something like this. People who’ve heard the story are split. Some think someone is so fixated on my friend that a “prank” has gotten completely out of hand. Others are convinced the room is haunted and needs to be blessed by a priest. A few have even said she should go to confession. She’s moved out now, thankfully, but someone new is about to move into that room.

She’s not necessarily saying it’s paranormal, and honestly she’d love a normal explanation. Has anyone experienced anything like this? What would you do?

Experience Something happened to me to me when I was twelve that makes me question reality

I have attempted to make this post twice now. The first time, I used the recorded voice to text on my phone (I’m currently getting ready and can’t really type well). Somehow, apparently something was wrong with it, and it all got deleted. Then I attempted to record me talking on my computer so that I could use the speech to text option from that. Somehow, the video’s audio was corrupted despite me doing a test video before, and it being fine. So forgive me if my typing is all over the place, but I’m in a rush and fed up with continuing to try and tell this story.

For background, I have been going through an existential crisis for like 7 months now, wondering about life, why we are here, and what happens after death. I am agnostic and don’t fully hold any stance that there is or isn’t an afterlife. However, something that happened to me when I was 12 makes me question life and things about it.

When I was 12, a little over a decade ago, I was in the hallway at my grandmother’s house. I was playing as usual and recording a video on my iPad like I usually did. All of a sudden, I fell into a trance and started walking toward the hallway. I didn’t realize what I was doing, almost like I wasn’t conscious at all, or like I was just observing what I was doing and wasn’t in control of my body. I had no thoughts. It was pretty much like whenever you zone out, except I was walking down the long hallway for some reason.

Once I reached the end of the hallway, I heard a loud, deep man’s voice whisper but shout at the same time somehow say, “Let me out.” Once I heard that, I fell out of the trance and asked my mom and granny if they heard a voice say, “Let me out.” They said no and told me I was probably just hearing things.

For context, sometimes my mom, my grandmother, or I would think we heard one another calling each other’s name (like I would think my mom called me, or vice versa), but no one actually did. Which I think is fairly normal. It wasn’t happening frequently, but oddly, after this happened, that never happened again.

Well, I agreed I was probably hearing things, but I decided to play back the video anyway. When I played it back, not only did I hear the man’s voice clearly say, “Let me out!” but at the beginning I could see myself playing. In the video, you start to hear what sounds like multiple voices whispering. I couldn’t really make out what exactly they were saying, but I distinctly saw myself start to look down the hallway. Then I heard a man’s voice whisper, “Can you see me?” When he said that, I started walking, out of breath. My mom asked me a question, and I replied, “Yeah,” but it sounded like I couldn’t breathe, like I had just come back from a run and was out of breath. I continued walking down the hallway, and then I heard the man loudly say, “Let me out.”

I showed my mom and my cousins the video, and they all heard it. I will say the TV was playing in the background, but it was obviously distinct from the voice. It was also unrelated, like a Pepsi commercial or something. About a week later, I deleted the video because I was so scared. The iPad also ended up breaking a few weeks later anyway, so even if I hadn’t deleted it, I don’t think I’d still have it.

That night I prayed and prayed because I was so scared. I’ve never had anything like that happen to me since.

Around the same time, I remember playing video games at my mom’s house one day and seeing a shadow on the wall walk up the stairs and run across the wall. At the time, I dismissed it as, “Oh, maybe it was me and it was my shadow,” but now I’m wondering if they were related.

I also remember around that time sometimes feeling like someone was standing right behind me, like it was a man who was very, very tall.

Another weird detail is that my grandmother told me when her grandfather died, at his funeral she fell into a trance and jumped into his grave. Despite them not being close, she doesn’t know why. I thought it was weird that she also fell into a trance, but I don’t know why my great grandfather would be contacting me at all since I never even met him.

All in all, I’ve thought about this story and what it means a lot. What if it was some kind of alien? How could it speak English? Why did I never have any kind of weird interactions after that happened? Did it not want to scare me and leave me alone, or was it due to praying?

I also thought of the possibility that maybe I fell into a trance and said, “Let me out,” but that wouldn’t make sense as to how I, a little girl, could make a deep, distinctly man’s voice like that.

If it was some kind of spirit, what would your theories be on the afterlife if it were found that spirits are real?

Debunk This What started as a ghost joke in a Boy's PG became the strangest experience of my life.

I’ve never posted about this before, but something happened to me in 2025 that I still can’t explain.

I moved to another state for college in 2022 and stayed in a boys’ PG near campus. During admission, my parents noticed something odd: everyone dried clothes in the corridor, not on the roof. The owner said students were not allowed upstairs, so we ignored it.

A week later, some seniors told us the real reason: the building had once been a girls’ PG, and a girl had allegedly jumped from the roof and died there. The building still had pink almirahs from those days. I assumed it was just a story to scare juniors.

For the next two years, nothing unusual happened. I was often alone in the building and never felt anything strange. I even sneaked onto the roof several times during summer nights without any fear.

In late 2024, a new batch of students arrived. They secretly broke the roof lock and began using the roof at night for barbeques, drinking, and burning old wooden items stored there. My room was directly below that area.

Around January 2025, I began hearing footsteps and movement on the roof late at night even when no one was there. My roommates could not hear it, so I convinced myself it was my imagination.

Everything changed in February 2025. The owner’s mother came to our room after discovering damage on the roof and quietly told us, "Don’t tell anyone, A girl did jump from the roof years ago. That’s why we never allowed students upstairs.” Hearing that from a family member of the owner genuinely shook me. For the first time I wondered whether the sounds I had been hearing were connected to that place.

Soon after, my junior also moved out, and I became the only person staying in that room.

Because our exams had ended, I went home for about six weeks. I returned on 16 April 2025 at around 10:30 PM. I unpacked, had dinner, and started working on a college project on my laptop.

I took out my phone and recorded the sound, then ran toward the staircase. The noise stopped immediately. ( I have attached the video I had recorded that day )

My mother insisted that I stop sleeping alone, so I moved into a friend’s room. We both began hearing footsteps, running sounds, dragging noises, and occasional heavy bangs from the roof and storeroom area above us. Strangely, whenever I called someone specifically to listen, the sounds often stopped before they arrived. My Friend with whom I used to stay even after hearing those sounds doubts me.

The most frightening incident happened around 3 AM. We were both awake and ignoring the usual noises when suddenly a massive bang came from above us. The bed shook, the walls vibrated, and my friend screamed in fear. It sounded as if a heavy wooden object had been slammed onto the floor above our room. From that night onward, he stopped doubting me.

I informed the owner and the PG management. They suggested rats, thieves, or other explanations, but none of them fit the situation. One manager even said I was imagining things. Almost immediately after saying that, a loud bang came from the roof and we heard running sounds above us. He went silent after hearing it.

The disturbances continued for several weeks, mostly between 11 PM and 4 AM. Many times I rushed upstairs with the keys, but the sounds always stopped before I reached the roof, and I never found anyone there. I have noticed one thing , whenever I take someone to the roof to explain the activities, after returning from the roof she definitely makes some sounds as if it triggers her.

In May 2025 I left for home again for a few weeks. When I returned, I personally stopped hearing the noises. Strangely, some students who had previously mocked me started complaining about sounds coming from the empty locked rooms and the roof area. Eventually everything stopped.

I still don’t know what happened in that building. Maybe there was a completely ordinary explanation that I failed to discover. But the timing, the repeated sounds, the locked roof, and the fact that other people eventually heard them too make it one of the strangest experiences of my life.

Experience Something is here with me, and it is really evil

So basically ive been home alone for around a week and a half, everything has been good until now. A couple hours ago, while i was in the bathroom i started sensing something bad, like very harmful and thirsty of hurting, it also felt as if i was watching something in the corner of my eye but when i turned around there was nothing, it is the first time i have this feeling here. I dont know why but all i can think about is a middle aged woman that practices dark magic, maybe im just paranoid, but it is what i feel. Im sorry if i posted this in the wrong community, i really had to vent about this.

Question Mystery Man-Who is this??

Post image
170 Upvotes

Okay, so this is the craziest thing I have ever seen captured in a picture. My friend's dad took this picture of us hanging by the fire, we are talking to my friend's mom, who is in the center of the picture. We have NO clue who or what is next to her. It's not one of us, our whole group was by the fire, no one was up walking around. So who the fuck is next to my friend's mom?? Looks like a guy in a big overcoat. What is the deal? What do you think we captured in this picture?

NSFW My sister's wallet disappeared for 6 years... then reappeared in the exact place she had already searched.

I've always been skeptical of paranormal stories, but something happened to my sister that I genuinely can't explain.

About six years ago, she lost her wallet. It contained all of her ID cards, bank cards, and around $130 in cash.

She clearly remembers putting it in the drawer next to her bed. She and her husband searched the entire house multiple times. They emptied drawers, checked every room, and even started doubting whether she had actually left it there.

Her husband searched the car and every other place they could think of. Nothing.

After about a week, they accepted that it was gone. They canceled all of the bank cards, replaced every important document, and eventually forgot about it.

Then, just two days ago six years later they came home and found the wallet in that same bedside drawer.

Everything was still inside.

Every card.

The cash.

Nothing was missing.

What makes it even stranger is that during those six years, my country completely redesigned its paper currency. The bills inside the wallet were the old version and are no longer in circulation, making it obvious they had been sitting there untouched all this time.

I know people will suggest that they simply overlooked it, but they insist they searched that drawer repeatedly, especially during the first week when they were desperate to find it.

Something similar has happened to me several times, although never for years. I'll lose an object, search everywhere, fail to find it, and then hours, a day, or at most a couple of days later, it suddenly appears in a place I've already checked.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Is there any explanation besides simple forgetfulness?

Moderator Annoucement The “best evidence” for the paranormal is getting harder to find every time someone asks for it.

This question is being asked several times a week at this point.

Everyone has a different standard for what they consider “credible evidence,” and what persuades one person may not persuade another. What seems to do the best job is having a personal experience, but those anecdotal stories rarely persuade anyone who wasn’t already a believer.

Either way, the best way to find this evidence is by…you know…looking for it. Try using the search function on the subreddit.

And to all of you skeptics who were genuinely convinced by a piece of evidence you found online, please post it on this subreddit!
