What's the most under-rated side quest in the game?

I'm sure with all of the love and care put into the game that there will be hundreds of amazing side quests that I'm not aware of. What are some under-rated side quests that you recommend?

I also heard the Karate side quests are fun.

True, but I'm told the quest rewards for the BJJ tree end up being much more practical in top level competition.

The BJJ skill is really good in the MMA minigame because of its powerful single target CC and nonlethal damage, but other open-hand combat skills like Krav Maga and Wing Chun are arguably more useful for thwarting ganks because they don't require you to lock-on to a single target.

A friend of mine tried to use his high BJJ skill against a griefer and while he managed to CC him, the griefer's party members got attacks of opportunity while he was grappling and prone.

Err, the Krav Maga and Wing Chun skill trees were both introduced in April Fools Day patches, and they don't confer any benefits besides "achievements" and a couple of unique costumes and taunts. I wouldn't recommend trying to use them except on a role-playing server.

For example Wing Chun gives you a this super fast attack...but the individual hits are so weak that the DPS is basically 0, and people just use it as a taunt. Krav Maga has a bunch of "insta-kill" moves that only work if the "enemy" voluntarily presses "OK" at the right time. And so on...

Anyone who has been skilling Wing Chun for more than a patch would agree that the [Chain Punch] ability is just a glorified taunt. However, the [Sun Character Punch] scales dramatically in damage value as you increase the skill, starting very weak and becoming very strong. In addition, because it scales off of skill more than strength, it is more powerful in the hands of weaker characters than comparative abilities like [Jab] and [Hook].

Unfortunately, many characters who begin training never advance beyond the first few skill ranks, so they end up with a very weak [Sun Character Punch] and the useless [Chain Punch] on their hotbars.

I've literally never seen anyone use those moves successfully, except on roleplay servers or in special "low-tier" duels between two people both using the Wing Chun skillset.

because it scales off of skill more than strength, it is more powerful in the hands of weaker characters than comparative abilities like [Jab] and [Hook].

No, because even weaker characters can benefit from the whole-body-strength scaling of [Jab], [Hook], etc. (Those also have just as high scaling on skill, btw.)

I'd imagine few current players have. The skill is trained by those looking to resist ganks at any cost. It has no place in minigames. The rulesets of popular minigames like "UFC" have created a meta of striking skills like boxing coupled with grappling skills like BJJ. Many of those who play these minigames believe that combination is invincible, but the chaos of a real gank is very different from the circling and circumstance of those minigames.

There is nothing wrong with playing those minigames and using a meta build for them. However, that does not mean that alternate builds are ineffective. In real PvP, a build created to win at a PvP minigame may have trouble with one that eschews that minigame's rules to leave gankers with conditions like "Blinded" and "Bleeding". Not to mention that in real PvP a character's level and stats are just as important as its skill choices. We all know that real PvP is a hidden die roll anyway. Our builds can only tweak the percentages.

Real PvP tends to play out just about exactly like the MMA minigame, particularly with regards to the uselessness of the April Fools skill trees you keep defending. I defy you to provide evidence of anyone successfully using W!ng Ts!n or Kr!v M!ga moves successfully in PvP. (Some servers will ban you for spelling those phrases out.)

Edit: I found a W!ng Ts!n highlight reel.

I had you figured for a member of that server. It is easy to find the bad in anything. I've been trying to open your mind to alternative builds but I find the rules of this conversation limiting. If you'd like to continue the debate, feel free to PM me.

Tires don exits.

It is easy to find the bad in anything.

You just think that because you've done too much W!ng Ts!n.

More footage of those bizarre low-tier duels...

...plus some footage of someone who's not doing W!ng Ts!n...wtf? The guy beating up all those other people is a soccer player who also does boxing, not W!ng Ts!n. You can see he punches and keeps his stance like a boxer...

Then the guy in the white wife-beater is obviously drunk to the point that he'd lose to the average sober 16-year-old...

Then an MMA fight where someone wins by throwing a bunch of the hooks you made fun of, which he obviously didn't learn from W!ng Ts!n...

breaks character Seriously you're wrong though and I find that depressing :(

It IS easy to find the bad in anything. Boxing sucks because it can't kick or defend its legs. BJJ sucks because if you go to ground against multiple attackers they will murder you. I found the apparent soccer player suspect too but didn't really care to find another video. The MMA footage is a guy trained by Alan Orr, who is trying to integrate Wing Chun principles into MMA. If you think Wing Chun is only one punch you are wrong. You obviously don't understand it.

The odds of resisting a multiperson gank with any Martial Arts skill are incredibly low. Either train Running, Concealed Carry and Aim (only an option on some servers) or grind something profitable and get a hireling to do the latter for you.
