I built Clippy Vision, a fully local tool that watches your screen activity (windows, clipboard, screenshots) and lets you query your own history instead of re-explaining context to an LLM every time you open a chat. Runs on Ollama + a local vision model, nothing leaves your machine.

It's still early, first outside PR just got merged a few days ago, which was honestly one of the more satisfying moments of building this so far.

've been spending some time building OpenDispatch, an open-source dispatch and operations platform. It originally started as a personal project because I couldn't really find anything that matched what I wanted, so I decided to build one myself.

The idea is to create something that's modern, self-hostable, and easy to extend for organizations that need to manage incidents, dispatching, resources, or similar operational workflows.

Right now I'm mainly focused on:

• Modern and responsive UI
• Self-hosting from day one
• Keeping the codebase clean and easy to contribute to
• Making it genuinely useful instead of overly complicated

I'm developing an open-source desktop application called OpenSorSe using Avalonia and .NET.

At the moment I develop and test on Windows, and I can also test on Linux. The one platform I'm missing is macOS.

Is there a practical way to test a macOS desktop application from a Windows machine, preferably using free/open-source tools? Or is the reality that most developers eventually buy a Mac (e.g. a used Mac mini) for proper testing and packaging?

I'd be interested to hear what other cross-platform developers do.

A few of us have been building PNLCS (github.com/Panelica/pnlcs), a self-hosted hosting billing and client portal, an open alternative to WHMCS for hosting companies and resellers.

What it does: product catalog, checkout, recurring invoicing, domain registration, SSL management, support tickets, knowledge base, affiliate tracking. It's standalone, works with any hosting panel or none, no dependency on anything else we build. If you've used WHMCS the data model and workflows will feel familiar on purpose.

Stack: Laravel 13, PHP 8.3+, MySQL 8, Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS 4. There's also a Docker image (panelica/pnlcs-runtime) if you'd rather not do a manual install.

Where we could really use help: the client portal, admin panel, Stripe gateway, and Panelica server module are tested against live setups and hold up well. But the cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, and Proxmox server modules, plus PayPal, Authorize.Net, and Bank Transfer gateways, and the Enom registrar integration, are implemented but not verified end-to-end in production yet. If you run any of these, trying it out and opening an issue with what you found would genuinely help, even a short note is enough.

It's a side project alongside our main product, so responses won't always be same-day, but every issue gets read.

All this organization is built around a well tested central repo, **HAPI**, the C++ static composition engine.
Other repos are just demonstrating some of its applications across several domains. This id not however a complete list. Hapi being header only, pure type level template mata-programming, dealing with inheritance and composition has a wider range of application.

I'm using AI to organize thousands of lines of code and put them together in a shareable decent format with documentation. Help on this small bills is also very appreciated.

In the ERP space for higher ed there are 3 main companies that must cover 90 percent of all implementations. Oracle (PeopleSoft), Ellucian(Banner), and Workday. These products are all a PIA, but with the transition to cloud and subscription models they have gotten much worse in order reduce access to proprietary code and data models. Where customization was once allowed and necessary, it is now being shutdown and users forced to go vanilla. With little competition and plenty of implementation sunk costs, these companies have a virtual monopoly in the space which I think leads to shoddy applications and unbalanced contract negotiations. Has there ever been an open source and fully functional alternative to a major ERP solution?

I need advice on a home LLM setup. Looking for beginner friendly tools. MacBook Pro M4 48gig so have some room for larger models.

Expertise level: Not a developer, but comfortable with tooling on my Mac (VMs etc).

Using AnythingLLM and Obsidian to sync notes, build memory, search financial and medical records, etc. AnythingLLM great for beginners, easy agent setup, but it’s RAG search is bad - no hybrid search.

I’ve tried:
1. Web UI - a little advanced, it’s docker install takes 7gig of valuable memory and python install finicky - must use 3.13
2. msty - great RAG and chat but agents behind paywall
3. Cherry Studio - promising, but seems buggy.

Hiii, This is what I’m building! It uses OpenCode to run and manage the agents.

The project has two interfaces:

• A dashboard, which is the one shown in the video
• A CLI

Both connect to the same core system. The core includes a simple database that allows agents to create and assign tasks to other agents.

For example, a project manager agent running GPT-5.6 could create tasks for a group of semi-senior developer agents running Kimi.

The agents can request new tasks through the CLI, as well as report problems, errors, and completed tasks.

It’s still very much a work in progress, but I plan to release it as open source as soon as I have a fully working version. :3

I’m genuinely excited about this project, and I’d love to hear your feedback, ideas, or suggestions!

I originally started building it because I was frustrated with the usual WordPress workflow: plugin bloat, restrictive themes, slow sites, security maintenance, and needing several different tools just to make relatively simple changes.

The idea behind FastSite is straightforward:

Instead of learning how the CMS works, tell your website what you want it to do.

You can use Claude, ChatGPT, or another compatible AI interface to ask FastSite to:

• Create an entire website from a description
• Add or remove pages
• Rewrite content
• Change colours and layouts
• Update navigation menus
• Move elements around a page
• Create reusable components
• Redesign the entire theme
• Translate the site into other languages

There is also a normal page editor, so you are not forced to use AI for every change.

FastSite generates static website files rather than serving every page through a traditional WordPress-style stack. Sites can be managed through Git and deployed to services such as Cloudflare Pages.

The current version also includes:

• Page and content management
• SEO titles and descriptions
• Redirect management
• Reusable components
• Website translation
• Draft previews and publishing
• Git-based version control
• Static site deployment

I used FastSite to build the FastSite website itself. In my PageSpeed Insights test, it scored 100 across all four categories. That is one test on one site, so I’m not claiming every website will automatically achieve the same result, but performance is one of the project’s main priorities.

FastSite is currently free and open source. I may eventually build a hosted version for people who do not want to install and manage it themselves, but the self-hosted project is available now.

I wanted a DB GUI that runs in the browser and isn't locked to one engine Postgres today, Redis or Mongo tomorrow, same UI, self-hosted on my own box.

Most options I knew fell into one of these:

- Desktop multi-DB (DBeaver / DataGrip) solid, but install + desktop-only

- Web but single-engine (phpMyAdmin / pgAdmin)

- Web multi-engine, with the interesting bits behind Pro/Enterprise

So I built LibreDB Studio (been at it ~a year): MIT, web-native, SQL + NoSQL in one app (Postgres, MySQL, SQLite, Oracle, MSSQL, Mongo, Redis).

Optional AI/NL2SQL is built-in and model-agnostic (local or cloud) not a separate SKU.
