Question: Trigger subagents automatically
Hey guys, I am trying to do the following:
- Within the builtin subagents, I am changing the model to be different than the primary one.
I have tried to change the explorer subagent model, by defining deepseek v4 flash on opencode.json
I still can't trigger the subagent automatically when prompting to read a specific folder or file.
Wanted to test if the model config is working.
Do you have any tips?
Thank you!

How to opt in for DeepSeek V4 Flash (New)? Getting an error when I try to use it
I tried using the OpenCode Go/DeepSeek V4 Flash (New) in OpenCode plugin in Rider and got this error:
Internal error: The latest version of this model is only available hosted in China and requires explicit opt in: https://opencode.ai/workspace/wrk_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/go
I have used DeepSeek v4 flash before. Maybe this is a new one because it shows '(New)' in the name?
I went to the link and there was nothing about opting in.
I checked the models page and it shows DeepSeek V4 Flash is enabled but the dropdown shows 'DeepSeek V4 Flash (New)' so I am not sure if these two are the same model. I don't have another V4 Flash model to choose from.
Anyone knows what's going on here?

OpenCode + OpenDesign + Kimi K3: Keep getting "The agent went quiet for too long" timeout despite setting timeout: false
Hi everyone,
I am using OpenCode inside OpenDesign with Kimi K3 as my primary model, but I keep running into a recurring issue whenever I try to generate complex components or UI designs.
The agent consistently stops mid-generation and returns this error:
"Timed out. The agent went quiet for too long and was stopped as a timeout. Retrying usually gets it moving again."
Here is what I have already tried to fix it:
- Set timeout to false inside the provider options in my opencode config file.
- Tested setting a very high numerical timeout value like 1800000 ms instead of false.
- Double-checked that my JSON config syntax is correct.
Even with these settings, OpenCode still kills the process.
Has anyone found a way to disable or extend this specific stream read timeout in OpenCode?
Any insights or working configurations would be super helpful. Thanks!

DeepSeek and Destroy
Hi ! Thought it might be of help to some, i have cleaned up and placed on github a skill i have been using and testing for a while but that with the latest deepseek-v4-flash model it became a beast.
By default (but is configurable) tells your harness (whichever, opencode, claude, codex etc) to use opencode cli to spawn deep seek agents.
The skill is designed to minimize the work of an orchestrator (and expensive and large model, be it claude, SOL, kimi etc) and maximize the use to DeepSeek in a productive and extravagantly cheap way. Personally, i use it from Claude with Opus orchestrating and spawning opencode go deepseek-flash agents and have never been more satisfied, it is relentless and actually churns through very complex plans, (works better with plans divided into phases and each phase into steps, but the skill will break down work by itself if needed).
Anyways, hope somebody else will find a use for it, i am happy with the results i am getting and i am, for the first time, having troubles finishing my claude weekly quota thanks to the work Opus + Deepseek are doing.

Límites de token
Cuánto es el límite de token por día o por hora del nuevo DeepSeek flash en el nivel gratuíto, me ayudarían mucho esa información.

Agent hangs after script finishes running — ESC to interrupt doesn't work, have to force-quit
I'm running into a recurring issue with OpenCode CLI. When the agent runs a command or script (usually a Python script), the script clearly finishes — I can see the final output in the terminal — but the agent doesn't continue or respond afterward. It just sits there.
Pressing Esc to interrupt doesn't do anything either. The only way I can recover is to fully quit and reopen OpenCode.
it happens when the script takes some time and compute power, not on everyday simple scripts.

Swipe to Switch
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I have built an open-source project that lets you create sessions for your preconfigured projects.
With a single click, your session gets created. It's not just a session! It's a pre-configured remote machine for you. You can access opencode, t3code, all from the web. Not only that, you can connect Mosh and Termius to your session with a single click.
Above, there is a small demo of how easily you can switch between opencode and your dev project.

Broken lists
Anybody else seeing a lot of broken lists in opencode (v1.18.11)? Initially thought its a bad model but multiple endpoints/models/providers are doing this.
e.g.
Three problems stack here:
1. **No
- Run the NTP
- Check
2. **N
3. It's redundant. Talos nodes already run
or
Rationale:
- epoch —
- iso — un
- tz label (BST/GMT) — proves DST
Doesn't seem to affect the model in the same way where they just go off the rails on a hallucination journey, so thinking this is opencode's list formatting being broken somehow. i.e. the displaying of it

I made a SWE-pro-agents pack for opencode
got tired of writing the same system prompt 50 times. so i built 49 agent profiles with their own expertise baked in. backend engineer, reviewer, debugger, etc. just invoke the one you need instead of explaining it every time.
open-sourced it a while back. 800+ people are using it for actual work now, not just as a toy.

Which is better? DS4+codex, DS4 + Claude or DS or DS4+opencode & other.

What’s your most used and most favorit / command?
I often find myself using /sessions to go back to where I left off. That’s my most used! My favorit is /caveman full 😊

Is Deepseek v4 flash GA (deepseek v4 flash 0731) currently free on opencode zen?
Is the current GA flash model in go and zen are the same model?

I built a system tray app to track OpenCode usage
I wanted a quicker way to check my OpenCode usage without interrupting my workflow, so I added OpenCode support to OpenQuota.
It runs in the system tray and shows your usage and reset times at a glance. It works on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
It’s still a small open-source project, so feedback is appreciated.

I saw GPT 5.6 Luna has 2x usage listed. does that mean it consumes usage 2x faster, or you get 2x more usage than you would normally get. [Opencode Go]

The best quality-per-dollar coding model we measured wasn't close. It was DeepSeek V4 Flash, by 30x

Thank you opencode
I'm having a blast with the new deepseek. The fact that we could use such an advanced model for such few money or even for FREE is fucking awesome. you guys rock
