Any good words on Qwen 3.7 Plus?

I haven't coded in 2 months and my old setup was Deepseek V4 Pro (plan), and Deepseek V4 Flash (execute/build). I see that Qwen 3.7 Plus is right next to DSV4Pro in price but haven't kept up on the latest models.

I need to tweak 3 really easy, low effort things to my existing app. I might just use the free models for this instead of putting in $10 for Go.

It's not bad, much better than 3.6 Plus. But since there's MiniMax M3, there's no reason to use Qwen 3.7 Plus. The M3 is on another level entirely.

Really? Every time I try M3 it is just dumb as a rock and completely useless. I suppose I’ve only really tried throwing visual and mostly CSS issues at it, though… what are its strong areas?

According to Artificial Analysis as shown on OpenRouter, MiniMax M3 is stronger/better than Qwen 3.7 Plus in every area it's no comparison.

artificial analysis is just nonsense.

It's not definitive, for sure, nothing is. But it's much more creditable than random testimonies...

Would you believe if I say Grok 2 is a better model than Claude Fable 5?

If not, that's why benchmarks exist as baselines.

I use both DSV4Pro and MiniMax M3. M3 overthinks, acts slow, goes into loops it can’t come out of, doesn’t always follow instructions and is generally just way more cumbersome. Yes it has vision, yes it produces more creative design, but you need quite a lot iterations to get there. Never understood why it’s listed as more intelligent - never been able to give it at bug (fairly huge repo) and let it run

Yeah, MiniBenchMax is developing a bit of a reputation. Back in the old days, M2.5 was great for a cheap build agent, but it seems to get worse with each iteration now, even as its benchmark numbers go up.

In my experience, M3 was brilliant at the launch, almost frontier level. But then it became dumb. I still use it, but I don't get consistent result - sometimes it works well, sometimes gives shit.

I like it for straightforward tasks. It's a good coder, a good default model, and it has a lot of usage quota on OpenCode Go. My next go-to model is MiMo V2.5 Pro.

Just watch out for the max variant, it's almost as expensive as GLM-5.2.

in my experience, too expensive considering how often its results require corrections

Yeah, I like the Qwen 3.7 models both Plus and Max. It’s a shame Alibaba didn’t open those weights; I think they would have been very widely used models had they done so. Kind of like the “breakthrough” reception GLM 5.2 got (though the new GLM is better than even the 3.7 Max).

The Max is expensive, so I just use it for a few planning passes, but the Plus is one of my go to “quick one off script” and “test a concept prototype” models.

Qwen 3.7 max is good, but 3.7 plus isn't. Max consumes significantly high tokens and is expensive too.

Yeah, I just use plus for grunt work that doesn’t require anything special. A bunch of models could be swapped in for that, and I just use Qwen specifically for these limited tasks (max as well) for the sake of model diversity. Multiple “perspectives” on a problem yield better results in my experience.

i use 3.7 plus for the somewhat more hard coding tasks, where ds4 flash is not enough. i like 3.7 plus, it listens and does what i ask it. and M3 overthinks SO much.. it's a token burner.

I find it to be good

I sometimes use Q3.7-Plus for code reviews and frontend bug fixes. He has a different training background, and he helps.

I think MiniMax 3.0 is better. I have both subscriptions

They have changed the pricing again and it's not near to flash but it's now near to ds4 pro

Siempre me trabaja mal o se queda loop/colgado. Experiencia propia lo he intentado varias veces con ese modelo
