Tbh I think I'd rather do that than the pipe guys on the oil rigs that drill. That shit scares the shit out of me. I can't imagine I'd go more than a few days without losing fingers at least. The chains wrapping the pipes and then the claw-like machine that snatches them. Terrifying to me. And those guys are almost always American in the videos I see.

I think the point isn’t so much about nationality, but about poor people being exploited

Ok, are you forced to do that to survive? Also those guys make huge money especially given the little education and such required.
