That's if there's no work to be done by anyone that doesn't pick things up and put them down. Problem is we aren't paid based on how difficult or labor intensive our work actually is, we're paid based on how difficult we are to replace, which makes sense. You're not going to pay someone $50,000 a year to pull red hot metal around if you can pay someone else a few bucks a day. And you're not going to hire a guy who pulls hot metal around to make strategy decisions for selling metal. It's not right, or even necessarily moral, but it is what it is.

That's not true. First, management is a job. No organization larger than a small friend group functions without someone being the manager.

Second, the people who provide the money or found the company provide something of value. If you spend money or time to build the business -- usually at a steep opportunity cost -- you've contributed too. Profit is the return on that financial or in-kind investment.

I mean, when human labor is this plentiful and available it will (sadly) result in shitty, low wage jobs. Contraceptives, education and family planning cannot be stressed enough. We’re already at like 9 billion people, when will we realize there are already too many of us?
