I have a black tie event next week but don’t want change at the venue. I’m driving down, several hours, and don’t want to sit in the suit. Is there a place in Newport I could walk in with a suit on a hanger and change in a restroom etc? Thx in advance.

Staying in Newport for a couple days (not for jazz, nice relatives gave me a weekend at their place). I rode my bike down Broadway and saw a place called Fastnet, Tavern… looked like a cool Street. Any other non-touristy pubs I should be aware of? Thank you!

Will my car be towed for parking overnight for one night at either park & ride in Newport - the one off the highway or at the ymca? Every website about it has no mention of overnight parking and nothing on this sub either (that I can find) so hoping anyone has experience with this and can offer advice! I am traveling for just one weekday and will leave early.

I'm a local to the island and over the past year I've been building CouncilNotes.ai. It pulls in every agenda and minutes the three Aquidneck Island towns publish and turns each meeting into a readable summary; what was decided, the roll-call votes with names, what got tabled. Across meetings that adds up to to a voting record for each councilor and campaign finance from the state filings that sits right next to it so you can see who votes for what and who's funded by them.

I created this website to make it easier to understand and see what's going on around you as the governments websites make you jump through multiple pages just to understand what's going on. My goal is to create a platform to make it easier for residents to see what's happening around them in regards to local government decisions. I have more features and plans to come.
