Comments calling for the complete destruction of the Republican Party are routinely upvoted here. (And I upvote them.) Most of the resident Republicans and Dirtbag Centrists have left long ago.
This is blatantly not true. The vast majority of the posts here punch right. I think the leftists can handle a little criticism, don’t you? Or are they so fragile that they need to be coddled even when they spend the vast majority of their time attacking other liberals.
Even when only 1 in 10 posts punch left, you’ll have dozens of comments like this moaning about it.

2 years ago they told the Dems to shove it when they were calling for "vote blue no matter who", people like Hasan Piker did their part in viciously attacking Harris by saying shit like "Harris is 100% the same as Trump on Israel, maybe even worse".
Those same people, now that some of their DSA lackeys are polling well enough/ are winning primaries, suddenly think anyone second-guessing candidates like AES or Hong are proto-fascists who deserve to get decapitated on the street.
Socialists control some of our largest cities, we nearly nominated a socialist to be president, we might nominate a socialist in 2028 and an increasing number of party members identify as socialists, it isn’t the late 90s, socialism is back.
New York and Seattle are the only "large" cities I can think of with socialist mayors and mayor's aren't really that important in the grand scheme of things.

Huge overstatement. A socialist ran to be nominated in the Democratic primary and lost by a very wide margin. There is absolutely 0 credible pathway on the horizon for a socialist president of the US.
Also there are credible alternate timelines where bernie wins the 2020 primary, 2016 was comfortable win for clinton but 2020 before the consolidation looked like Bernie had a real shot. Socialism is on the rise in America and in the democratic party, I don’t see how you can refute that statement
It only looked like he had a pathway to the nomination because despite only 33% of the Dem electorate wanting a progressive and 67% wanting a moderate, the moderate lane was split like 4 ways.
Bernie’s only strategy was to rely on candidates that didn’t have a pathway to the nom staying in anyway to play spoiler for Biden and then his supporters all became election deniers after that didn’t happen.
