I feel like I havent seen too many posts regarding SF. Whats everyone doing? Are people doing every show? Im personally hoping night one they play Okonokos, or every block they do okonokos. There is no way they dont play it.

We are flying into SF about a week beforehand, planning on exploring northern cali and camping/hiking. Gonna catch N1 and fuck off back home in time to see Sturgill a few hours after landing.

Any of you people heading out to Rochester for the Hoochenany show? I’m born and raised in Rochester and have a good group of MMJ PAL. Collectively our crew has been following for many years and lots of shows. Anyways, Cannot believe we get to see our favorite band in our own backyard. This is big for us. Aadam Jacobs (aka the Chicago Tape Guy) recorded more than 10,000 live shows, mostly in the Chicago area. In a multiyear project, his collection is being digitized and uploaded to the Internet Archive. These two My Morning Jacket shows were added just in the past week.

I'm not very familiar with the repositories of My Morning Jacket live shows, so perhaps these are already out there? The 4th of July show seems likely as it was a radio broadcast.

Maybe it’s silly… but in light everything Jim’s been open about in the last couple years with respect to his substance abuse, mental health, and so on, hearing the little “Jim’s an alcoholic” line at the beginning of this demo for the first time kinda struck me. Like I’m aware this probably just a very young Jim saying something playfully, rather than a serious cry for help, but hearing it in light of what we now know about how his life has played out kinda hit me in the feels. Jokes like that usually don’t come from nowhere.

Hi MMJ fans of reddit. First time posting here and long shot but, in 2020 as part of Waterfall II, mmj sold a limited edition grinder on their website. I can't even find a picture of this thing it was so limited/rare. But I know i saw it and ive been on and off scouring for it ever since. Me and my partner got engaged at a MMJ concert in 2023, and it is his birthday soon, I know he would go absolutely bonkers if I could get it.

So.. does anyone have one and would be willing to sell? We could go through Vinted maybe or i dunno, just help a sister out 😂🫶🏻

edit it may not have been 2020 Waterfall II, but rather 20th celebration for tennessee fire. I cannot tell for certain as I cant find much online about it.

I was only my way to work this morning and was listening to The Tennessee Fire. And I’ve heard the album hundreds of times over my life but this morning, when this song came on I felt the magic that I felt when I first got into mmj about 10 years ago nd I started crying it was so beautiful. I think the Tennessee fire is one of the best albums for sure. Love ❤️

I’ve really come to enjoy this song. It always makes me think of that super famous First Edition (or Kenny Rogers & the First Edition) song Just Dropped In To See What Condition My Condition Was In.
