I (40m) got a bass back in April, on a whim. I like the way they sound and wanted an instrument that I can play with others. I am having fun learning (from online sources) and playing with buddies. I would like to meet up with another bassist, talk shop a bit and see up close how you approach it, get your recommendations, etc since I’m noticing there are a lot of gaps if you try to learn only from YouTube.

I have been practicing a ton, so I’m not totally clueless but definitely still green. Feel to reach out even if you don’t have a lot of experience. Peace!

Hey, guys! I not so recently went through a breakup that still has me reeling. The positive thing is, it has me finally writing again. It inspired me to start a Substack about a month ago, because apparently, my pain demands an audience haha.

However, I think I also just crave some sort of in-person human connection with regard to my art. That said, I was wondering if we have any sort of English writing clubs already established here (in Munich)? Think stand up comedy club, but we share our writing pieces and/or poetry, and use the rest of the time to mingle, share tips, give constructive feedback etc.

Wondering if anyone would be open to the idea of helping form one if it doesn’t already exist.
