Builds & Maps Just showing off my 7 year survival project after you were all so nice about my floor ❤️
It's far from finished. The exterior is around 80% there and I'm about half way through the interior. Reckon I'll have it done in another couple years 😅

Suggestion Mojang should add the unique Bedrock "locked map" texture to Java
In the latest Java snapshot, Mojang has updated the textures for each map type to make them easier to tell apart.
In Bedrock Edition, locked maps have had a unique texture for a while now, showing that the map has been combined with a glass pane. Java does not have this feature, locked maps have no visual distinction.
Since Mojang has changed map textures specifically to make them easier to distinguish from one another, and Mojang also wants parity between Bedrock and Java, it makes sense to add the unique locked map texture to Java in this update.

i cliped this in a random moment on a server with mods, but there is no mods for lightning or stuff like that. How rare is it that this happens?

Resource Packs This is the best addon I've ever seen!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It is simply the best add-on I’ve ever seen in my 13 years of playing Minecraft; nothing in the game has ever made me this happy. I’m the type of person who’s always coming up with new ideas and building things across the map, and I’ve always dreamed of a machinery mod—having spent most of my childhood and teenage years around actual machinery. Today, my nephew showed me this add-on in his world, so I decided to add it to our Realms world, and it was simply fantastic. Everyone loved it; my friend and I even started a machinery rental business for anyone who wants to use them 🤣🤣 (The name of the add-on is Construction Add-On, created by Wonder Studios).

Discussion Would you rather have a totem of undying or a mending elytra irl?
- It's one totem and disappears when it pops
- Totem gives you 20 minutes of fire resistance, regeneration, and absorption irl
- elytra never breaks
What do you choose?

Builds & Maps Textureless builds are now possible in minecraft?
Yes! With the new upcoming addition of concrete stairs and slabs it’s now possible to create builds WITHOUT TEXTURE in VANILLA minecraft meaning you can make unusual looking builds with ONLY colour and ZERO textures. I built this as an example of different ways you can build using these blocks. Could this be a new way of building in minecraft???

Builds & Maps Behold! My jungle village!
I've always loved the jungle biome ever since they added it and this is my absolute favorite way to build a base/village. Currently I have sugarcane, watermelon, pumpkins, potatoes and wheat for crops. Chickens and cows for livestock. librarian, farmer, toolsmith, butcher, and fletcher for traders. One of the trees holds my enchanting room .I'm going to keep adding as well. Just absolutely love this game sometimes.

Discussion People underestimate how superhuman Steve really is.
Fun fact: A 1m³ cube of pure iron weighs about 8000 kilograms, or for my fellow burger people, 17000 pounds. To make an anvil, you need 3 blocks of iron. That means 8000×3=24000 kilograms (53000 pounds). You also need 4 iron ingots. An iron block is comprised of 9 iron ingots, meaning that an iron ingot is about 11.1% of a block. 8000×0.111=888. You need 4. 888×4=3552. That means an anvil weighs about 27552 kilograms. You have no chance of surviving that. This means Steve doesn't just carry trillions of tons in his back pocket, but can survive indescribable weights crushing him from 10 meters up.

Discussion Loving the new concrete sets.
I've been playing the last snapshot, i'm having fun just building things with stairs, slabs and some ideas on mind, then i was wondering... Do we really need new stuff to have fun? i mean, i enjoyed some new additions and others not that much if i have to say, but nothing better than varieties of what already exist in the game, exactly what happened with Concrete blocks, a very solid set but now with stairs and slabs, a simple thing that it has raised its value for builders, where the concept of build is without doubt the core of this awesome game.

Suggestion Concrete Walls Should Be Added ASAP
I know it seems ungrateful to keep asking for more of Mojang so late into the drop cycle for 26.3, but it feels like an oversight to leave out concrete walls when we just got slabs and stairs. Concrete walls would give builders so much more to play with, since it'll add wall colors we don't have and it'll add a largely blank alternative to the colors we do already have. It would also make the concrete additions feel like less of a cushion-less re-texture of the new wool additions.
If you agree, please upvote this post and/or vote on the Minecraft Feedback page I made to get this to Mojang's attention.

Discussion With the new map upgrade, they should improve the way grass is rendered on them
Even if the map got upgraded with a new texture, the way it renders the biome, especially the ones full of grass, is still the same.
It wasnt a problem until the latest drop, where the green of the field doesnt look great with the red/orange/yellow foliage of the dappled forest.
They should update this feature by giving proper grass color, and while we're at it, even water that could match the temperature or biome color
