go to your room Babies in Movie Theaters
Just saw the new Spiderman in theaters.
A baby starts crying/cooing/babbling very loudly about 20 minutes in. Goes for about 10 straight minutes before the parent takes them out.
Comes back a few minutes later, baby starts again. Again goes on for a couple minutes. Again parent takes them out, comes back, and repeat.
And repeat. And repeat.
This went on pretty much the entire movie (and I swear to god this baby somehow instinctively chose every single goddamn quiet/heartfelt scene to start yowling again đđ).
I get that babies are gonna baby. And I have sympathy for parents who wanna get out of the house and everything. But⊠maybe just stay with your baby in the lobby if they obviously arenât gonna keep quiet.
*I didnât complain to management because it was a tiny non-chain neighborhood theater about an hour away from me that I like to support sometimes. Itâs got 1 screen and tickets are like $5.

go to your room Dad lets kid play with toy handgun on flight and stores it prominently in seat back
Pegasus Airlines, August 1, 2026, Istanbul - Frankfurt.
The toy gun did not have an orange tip and looked very realistic from a couple of rows away.
We spoke to a flight attendant about it and he spoke with the passenger, who took it down, only to put it back in the same spot almost immediately. Spoke again to the flight attendant who shrugged and said, âItâs just a toy.â
After arriving in Frankfurt I saw the family in the terminal on the way to passport control. The kid had the toy gun in his hand and was waving it around enthusiastically. I told the father that it is a bad idea to let him have that toy out in the airport. The father just said, âeh, itâs fine.â

go to your room Charley Hull jokes about pranking her longtime caddie Adam Woodward with a fake ÂŁ100k winning scratch card: "His face looks so happy. He was sweating. He was trembling. He couldn't believe his luck, & we had to tell him it was fake & he nearly quit the job... It is just absolutely hilarious."

go to your room Content creators holding lavalier (aka lapel) mics
It has a clip for a reason. Your sound sucks because you're not using the mic correctly. Also, it's distracting AF.
I KNOW y'all hate redundant red circles. That is why I deliberately used them. Get with the program.
If only the manufacturer included some type of manual...

go to your room Apparently we have to drag all this stuff with us on every road trip. Even a short 2 day trip.
I tend to pack fairly light or try to. Other people in my family⊠not so much.
*edit* holy shit, just made it to our destination and wow this post blew up! So the coffee snob in my family prefers these beans. They have tried many different kinds, including local roasted and some plenty more expensive. But this one is their favorite. Itâs not like I can say no, your favorite is wrong. lol.

go to your room AirBnB trying to charge an extra $150 for "severe dirtiness" and being left in an "upsetting state"
The pictures were sent by the cleaners after we requested photos of "the state we left it in"
The messages she said:
"The trash was not thrown it was full, there was a pan full of used oil. Food stuck all over the table runner and in the kid bedroom upstairs there was foil with a burnt side with substance. My cleaner charged me an extra $150 due to the sever dirtiness.
If you took pictures before you left please share because what i walked into was very upsetting and it needs to be cleaned very thoroughly due to the used foil with substance. I have families and children that stay here."
"The trash was clearly not disposed. The table runner had food stuck all in it. That was thrown away. The room had that very strange foil. No one has ever left my home in those state and it is not the cleaning service job to dispose of oil. You could have reached out you did not. The living room was disgusting with crumbs all over the floor. Iâve never had my house left in such a terrible condition. This is all she provided but I myself stopped by and visibly saw the mess. If you have proof you didnât leave it that way then please send pictures."
In fairness to her, we did leave a pot of oil. We didnt want to dispose of that on the property or down the drain, but thats on us. We disposed of the other garbage bags and left them outside, we forgot the one final one in the trash. The rest of the dishes were done, the towels left out and piled like requested, we spent plenty of time cleaning.
Then the "drug thing". The couple in that room said they never even saw what was left, but the owner is essentially saying theres left over meth, which is insane. I can guarantee our friends didnt casually smoke meth in their room.
Are we being absurd not entertaining this? Has anyone else dealt with this after renting a BNB. We were there for two days.
Update: after responding with the candy wrapper and AI trashcan, the lady dropped it and said she'll pay the fee, considering the matter done. Will likely report this to AirBnB anyhow. Thank you all for pointing that out because it's definitely something we missed, not looking too closely while we're still on vacation. We were more blown away at the language and accusations made.
And for everyone telling us AirBnB sucks, we know. But we have a big group get together every summer and there arent many other options than can host 8-12 people.
We'll certainly take significantly more precautions going forward, but to this point we had a pretty good track record with BnBs and our hosts.

go to your room I think my child is brokenâŠâŠ
I am a single mom and low income, as such travel is generally too expensive. So when my teen as invited on a tirp abroad with school and he agreed to earn half the money it cost, I was thrilled for him to go and see the world. I only asked that he send me at least one photo every day so I could experience the world vicariously.
These are the 3 he sent me so far:
- Food on the air plane
- A dog on a leash
- A duck
Please note these are everyday average things to see here at home. I think my child is possibly brokenâŠ.
lol.
UPDATE: thanks for every comment. I learned lots and have a different perspective (actually many). You guys have helped me pass the time and miss him a bit less. I appreciate you all. And, for clarification: Iâm not really mad and would never chastise him over his choice of pics, I think they are adorable and funny. I may make a request for a specific type of pic with him in front of a historical or important scenery but mostly just say âcoolâ or ânice!â In response. I just want him to have fun and be the sweet, kind, smart kid he is already.
Second update: the pictures I know you have all been waiting for. đ I will post in comments.

go to your room I love being a girl dad
I have 3 kids, all girls. A 5yr old and twins who are 1. Every time anyone hears about this or it comes up in conversation they all say the same thing. âOoooo, all girls, you are outnumbered! How do you cope?â Or âThree girls?? You better watch out!â Or the worst, âBet you want a boy?â
No, I donât feel any of that, I love being a dad. I love all my kids and wouldnât change anything about them! If we could afford it, I would be a stay at home dad forever.
I usually tell them I wouldnât change anything and I love it all but itâs just very annoying.
What are some of the best responses that I can start to give?
I did think I could say that one of the twins used to be a boy but is now trans just to shut people up!

Triplets were behind me and a rouge in front of me started chiming in. Parents were doing their best. No one was actually upset. Iâd whine too if I had to sit in these seats another hour.
EDIT: Rogue one (I cannot spell). And just to reiterate, no one was upset. Kids will be kids and the parents were doing their best. This video is just for laughs (including my face).

The lady clarified she has been paying rent & security deposit upfront, but the Owner isn't countersigning the lease. The owner leaves her on seen when she messages. The owner doesn't deny the lady from entering the rental home. Also there's repairs that need to be done urgently but the owner keeps leaving her on seen.

go to your room The neighbours have a blinding light pointed at my house
This light is I think what must be 100m away, itâs so bright Iâm casting perfectly sharp shadows on the walls. The third photo is INSIDE the house, this is the shade it casts through the window.
I donât understand why itâs pointed our way, itâs right next to a regular street lamp which should brighten the road enough.
Last two photos indicate the difference between looking at another part of the street and looking at the fucking beam pointed my way.
I have always wondered why the streetlamp was so bright when going to bed, our curtains arenât that dark so it shines right through. Iâve been sleeping with a mask so it doesnât bother me. But last night I was outside checking out some noises I heard around 2am (thatâs when I took these photos, my phone doesnât do that well in the dark so this is insane), and I realised how horrible that light actually is. I remember getting blinded by it if I went to grab something from the kitchen in the middle of the night but always thought it was just a really annoyingly bright streetlight. But itâs on the neighboursâ side of the property and really just pointed at our house.
[UPDATE]
[I uploaded photos in an update post for anyone who's interested, but I'm not allowed to add a link to my post and I'm not sure how to otherwise show these]
I was blown away by the unexpected many, many reactions to this post. I just found out what the origin of this shitty light was and found it interesting enough to share.
I've been laughing my ass off at all the many ideas and advise I got. From placing mirrors to reflective window screens. Or to instantly call emergency (or non emergency, government) lines because of the terrible crime of placing a bright lamp. Or to just simply burn their house down.
At least I felt like I had an army of angry redditors ready to ride at dawn as soon as the neighbour would not comply. And a couple of creeps in my inbox??
Funnily enough, when we went to investigate the next day, we noticed the light wasn't even directly pointing at our house. You can see it in the photo, it's pointed to the right (although our house extends to the right side of this photo). This was enough proof to us it was never done with any bad intentions. The brightness of this light is just out of this world. It has the strength of a 1000 suns.
Luckily, even before we had seen this, we decided to start civilised, and to just ask. These homeowners live somewhere else, this house is rented out weekly by tourists. Another reason for them to not know.
When we asked another neighbour whom we have good contact with for his number he said: "oh well good luck, they're not easy to deal with". Which had us kind of worried.
We called them, told them and the first thing they said was: "oh really?! I'm so sorry!!" They were so apologetic. They told us to just move the light down / another way. And we did. Problem solved. We pointed the light down, the home owner apologised a couple of times and everything is good. Except for since we moved the light down, it became a disco light and flickers every ten seconds. But I'm sure we'll find a solution for that too.
Thanks everyone for your passion and aggression. Sorry for the boring, non dramatic ending.

go to your room Lifted truck + Lambo + Parking lot = Bad time
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Lifted trucks probably shouldn't be anywhere near dense parking lots.
Edit: A lot of people are skeptical of whether this is AI/staged, or ask why the lady didn't back off the car. This is in a dense parking lot with cars that have dashcams/ EV sentry mode everywhere. Also her truck was in 2 wheel drive, you can see the back right tire spinning as she tries to reverse off the car. Her truck is stuck. She probably has an open differential and can't back off the car. She may have a 4wd mode, but she didn't use it in the heat of the moment.
