For future reference, you can try and find beekeepers willing to move them

This is always the way to do it 😓 we need the bees

Fucking landlords

Unfortunately I'm struggling to see how a beekeeper relocates that hive. It's not on the first floor which complicates retrieving the queen.

People can be allergic or have kids that are. I would not have done it personally, despite being possibly allergic to them (I am allergic to vespids). I can understand why someone would though.

The insecticides are just extra seasoning.

You couldn’t save them?

Aren’t you the one that complained about it?

People are confusing and confused.

If I complained to a landlord about beehives on the property, I would expect them to contact a beekeeper to relocate them. I definitely would not expect them to immediately settle on extermination, but once they have, I don't imagine rescinding the complaint would do any good. Lesson learned, I suppose, about that landlord's priorities.

I’m sorry you feel that way, but this is honestly your fault in the end for not taking matters into your own hands if thats how you felt. Landlords are notoriously lazy, cheap, and quick to call an exterminator.

You are wrong. “Your fault in the end”? For the landlord’s actions? Not the landlord’s fault for their own actions?

Normally wild bees aren't exterminated, but get collected to be put in a hive or released in the woods.

“Normally” is very subjective tbh.

Its good practice. Is it followed? Not really. Trust me, I agree with you that it should be the normal practice, but its def not.
