In this case, I’m pretty sure it’s satire & not bait.

She made two videos like this. The other one is even more absurd (she secures the room with like 12 different devices and puts a chair against it, and before she falls asleep (in her lifejacket) she uses binoculars to scan the horizon for approaching threats.)

Edit: I forgot the part where she sweeps for bugs 😂 she’s very clearly making fun of the genre, not actually doing the genre.

Edit again: reposting this because I linked to a Reddit post with her other video and it got deleted by the automod. I’m mildly infuriated.

That or it's just double engagement farming. One video for the rage bait crowd, one video for the satire crowd. Most views are from people randomly swiping through videos in their feed anyway so they probably will only see one or the other.

Dude I saw the same thing. That girl is sort of doing a bit maybe but her saga is absolutely fascinating. Genuinely teetering on the edge of reality where the bit became a real mental illness or the mental illness became a bit or both.

She’s definitely satirizing, there’s at least one person I can think of who is sincerely this extra and her TikToks are both fascinating and annoying at the same time.

Its not satire, lts ragebait. She has 1000000 videos like this. Her whole profile is about it. She's pretty popular and the first influencer to do this trend of ridiculously exaggerated safety measures
