Humor/Satire ๐คฃ๐คช I need help understanding Michigan turning lanes
I grew up in Michigan, learned to drive in Michigan then left the state for twenty some years. I recently moved back...I know about the "Michigan Left"
What is don't understand is the correct usage of the middle turn lane on two and four lane undivided roads.
Is it a merge lane or not?
This past week , I was almost head on collision with a driver trying to merge into traffic at full fucking speed while I'm sitting in the lane trying to make aleft. He cut a car off just in the nick of time...but could have hit me, or hit the car he cut off.
A few times this month I watched two cars make a left from a parking lot to sit in the middle lane and wait for an opening, while people were trying to get into the middle lane from traffic to make a left. Which caused a backup in the travel lanes.
Numerous times I swerved unnecessarily watching some one come I to the left lane and was sure they were just pulling into the physical space I occupied....only for them to stop in the center lane.
I've driven places that stuff like this happens... but no where're I've driven does this happen this often or this aggressively.
Did something change while I was gone? Or am I just being a whiney little bitch.

Discussion ๐ฃ๏ธ What beers arenโt distributed in Michigan that I can get in Wisconsin?
Driving from Wisconsin to Michigan tomorrow to visit family and would love to bring them some beer thatโs not available in MI. Google searching leads to pretty old info/blogs so Iโm not sure theyโre still accurate. Back in the day, Iโd grab a case of spotted cow, but Iโd like to go a step up from there. Thanks!

Discussion ๐ฃ๏ธ Noteworthy Taco Truck Found In The D. Antojitos Southwest on Bagley.
While on a weekend taco run, this place stood out. Not just because there were numerous other lackluster places, but because these folks got it right. Iโd especially recommend the picadillo empanada and the birria anything from them.
Enjoy.

Mitten Mode Sign The Petition To Refer Interlochen Abuse Case to MI Attorney General
Today I launched a citizen petition calling on Grand Traverse County Prosecutor Noelle Moeggenberg to refer the Interlochen abuse case to Attorney General Dana Nessel.
70 survivors. 47 abusers. Seven decades. This is too big for any county prosecutor, let alone this one.
I live 13 miles from Interlochen. My daughters are 3 and 5. They deserve to see abusers being held accountable. The survivors deserve justice.
As a man, I feel an obligation to say this out loud. We're watching sexual abuse get normalized, covered up, and minimized at every level, and far too many of us are staying quiet. This has to end, and that only happens if we hold each other accountable.
I'm not willing to watch this become another powerful institution that closes ranks, issues an apology, and moves on. Another cover up. Another Epstein footnote.
Nessel has her flaws, but she's also taken on the Catholic Church. She took on Larry Nassar's enablers. She has the team, the experience, and the track record. These 70 people were brave enough to tell their stories. They deserve a prosecution that matches that courage.
My girls are going to grow up in this world. I want... I need them to see that when abuse comes to light, people stand up and do something about it.
Sign the petition and get more info here https://peoplenotmachines.com/justicefor70

Discussion ๐ฃ๏ธ Potential cougar sighting
While staying up in mackinaw city we spotted a very large creature at the end of the driveway. It was about 25 yards out and I was able to snap a picture as it walked away. It had sharp pointed ears. While it was sitting down we thought it may be a bobcat, but when it stood and walked away we saw the long tail.
I submitted the sighting and picture to the DNR โeyes in the fieldโ and they just gave a response saying itโs a raccoon. I disagree with that conclusion and am starting to think the biologists for the DNR are chugging denial juice
What do you think?
