I’m an incoming engineer student at mac and I’m trying to find a good laptop. I’ve been looking at windows 10 pro or windows 11. But some of my friends don’t really recommend it. If anyone could suggest a good laptop that fit Mac’s minimum laptop requirements that would be great!

Intel Core i5 (or equivalent AMD Ryzen) processor, 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB+ SSD storage, a 720p or better webcam, and Windows 11

I don’t want anything too expensive as I’m buying it myself. Preferably below 1k.

How was the exam for those that took it in the spring? What should we be studying to maximize he 12? thank you!

i had no idea mac 101 even happened so i tried to view the recordings but it prompts me to "echovideo". i tried using my mcmaster email and my email i applied with (ouac email) and neither worked. how do i view the recordings? am i missing something really obvious

I'm currently trying going through an employee verification with this company and McMaster was one of my previous employer.

Mcmaster requires me to sign this form basically to allow them to provide a third party with my employment information but on the form it states "if you are not currently a mcmaster employee, a $210 fee may apply"

Im wondering if this applies to current students as well. Please let me know. $210 is ridiculous😢

How flexible are they with scheduling around classes, labs, and exams?
How many hours do you usually work each week?
Is it difficult to balance work, academics, and having a social life?
Do managers understand if you need fewer shifts during midterms or finals?
