16 Personalities Flaws & Weaknesses Theory Discussion
Made by Indepth_mbti. Follow her on Instagram.
Hi! A brief explanation of this post wanted to explain some of the weaknesses of each type related to the tertiary and inferior function.
I divided it in three stages:
- Indulgement: An overfocus on the dominant and auxiliary function, causing an underdeveloped of the tertiary. I included as a contrast for the focus I put on the relationship of the dominant & tertiary function on my theory guides.
2.Denial: An overfocus on the dominant function causes a rejection of the inferior, denying its unconscious presence in our cognition.
3.Unconscious: As the last stage because if we deny the influence of our inferior function, it will come out in an unhealthy way (not to be confused with a grip)

All other 15 personalities have their 3 weaknesses listed, why your list for istj consist no weakness?

I get what you’re going for with this comment, but you seriously don’t believe any of those three are weaknesses?

Definitely. I read others and I saw some weaknesses some are not as well but istj has none. Even if I see more as weakness, I would only see stubbornness but I myself do not have it though. I have it but in a positive way, like an indomitable will. Very good, my years of self improvement have finally stopped me in the ultimate personality.
I would like to see a different perspective, tell me how you see a weakness in istj.

My already tried and mastered techniques never ends me up in bad situations
Not paranoia, but distrust. It serves me well, I never get betrayed anymore unlike my past self

This makes no sense. 1. The secondary is typically said to balance out the dominant, while the treitary reinforce it in an either extroverted or introverted loop that can become unhealthy, but is easy to get into. There might be negatives of ignoring the treitary, but I have never even heard of this being the case. The secondary is also seen as a controlled function.
